The place and space is great. The house has a beautiful garden, spacious and the bedrooms are comfortable enough. My family rent it to spend new year and everything went well.

A family's dream of having a house in the mountains has come true, a beautiful house with cozy spaces. Each room is decorated and set with exclusive detail. Designed so that when you arrive you focus on enjoying seeing its decoration, comfortable beds, impeccable bathrooms and kitchens. Waking up with the daylight from its skylight, the beautiful views from the bedroom windows is something that makes you relax and not want to leave. The dining and patio areas are large, bright, beautiful and comfortable. And when you thought it couldn't get any better, there's the garden, an area that captivates you as soon as you begin to carefully observe the excellent care and relationship they have with nature. Huge trees, super-manicured lawn, the smell of lavender in the morning, is what my family and I take away as a memory. Enjoying a cup of coffee and walking through that immense and wonderful garden is something we will do very soon. We will definitely be frequent customers of this beautiful house.

Beautiful house, spacious accommodation with a central patio and dining room that invite coexistence. Ideal for family trips where you're looking to connect. The location is a few blocks outside the most touristy area but not too far. Flora María is a great host, very attentive throughout the process.

We had a wonderful time staying at Flora Marias's beautiful home. Maria was very helpful about anything we needed and even provided us help when one of our group had a bad tummy. Maria is a beautiful, talented host who was attentive to our every need. The casa is a lovely colonial style and has beautiful large grounds. The rooms are very spacious, clean and decorated with much attention to detail with many indigenous artifacts. The bathrooms were roomy and clean..showers large and with plenty of hot water. The host provided lots of wood for our evening and morning fireplaces. We had a lot of rain when we were there (which did not dim our outings or our spirits) and we did love making a fire in the living room. The kitchen had plenty of pots and pans for cooking, lots of dishes and cups and utensils. The "colectivo" stops in front and is a very easy way to go to the plaza. Casa Flora Maria is perfect and I recommend it for all!

Everything was excellent, we had a very good stay in San Cristobal. A place far enough from the center to be quiet but close enough to visit. The garden is very nice and relaxing.

The property is splendid! The place is like the pictures on the website very accurate. The interiors are amazing and what is the best asset of the property is the garden, which is beautiful and in progress of becoming even better! The house is very private but in a corner of a very busy street during the day. If you need to go into town the best way is to take the little buses (colectivos) which charge 8pesos per person, now the return take a taxi for 50 to 60 pesos. The house is a bit far from town and the neighborhood is safe but on the outskirts of town which are not as well kept and you see more of the actual life than the manicure turist Mexico, which for us is great because you get to experience the place like a local!

great place the view and gardens is the best

We had a beautiful weekend celebrating a birthday quietly with friends. Our entire stay was magical and pleasant, you can breathe a lot of peace in the house. We would definitely repeat experience.

So spacious and great atmosphere. Each room is spacious and private. It is a great scape!

It was a beautiful house!! Everything about it was just as described. The rooms were large and well kept and they all had heaters in it since we went during the cold season. I think the best part is that all the rooms have their own bathroom and that all the main doors face the middle court yard. Edmundo was amazing in communicating with us and allowed us to have an easy check-in and check-out. He was very helpful in fulfilling our needs and was extremely accommodating. The one small down fall is that the house is a 25 min walk from the centro but a taxi will bring and take you for 50 pesos or a colectivo will for 8 pesos. Overall would definitely book again!

Overall a great experience! The house is spacious and well maintained; the atmosphere is unique, especially having breakfast in the patio. Perfect solution for families and groups visiting San Cristobal. A car is needed to reach the center of the city (10 mins)

The house is beautiful, it has a giant garden, ideal for large families. The area is not the nicest, but the house is worth it.

Gorgeous, spacious property and so serene. A nice little escape from the center of town. We were only able to stay two days and wish we booked this home for longer! Hosts were so kind and even accommodated our hectic and late check-in. We really appreciated it. Rooms were clean, spacious, private. Our favorite parts of the home were the garden, the courtyard (with a stunning huge palm tree in the middle!), and the sun drenched dining room. I hope I get to come back to Chiapas just to stay here again!

This house is a wonderful place to stay in San Cristobal. It feels like a private oasis that is secluded but still very accessible to the City center. The garden is gorgeous and the views were incredible. The staff was incredibly attentive, and working with Flora Maria leading up to our trip was seamless. The wifi was sufficient for several folks working remotely in our group. The rooms and bathrooms were stunning and it was evident that a lot of care went into the design of this hole. It gets chilly at night due to the altitude but there were space heaters throughout the house that helped keep us warm! Our group had two rental cars and the private driveway made it super easy for parking! I cannot recommend this Airbnb enough. Our group of 8 had the time of our lives!

Gorgeous property! We had a group of 10 here for a yoga/adventure retreat and our group loved it. The property is filled with beauty and tons of plants. The kitchen was great and we arranged to have 2 meals a day cooked by Soco and Amilia and that worked out really well, it was delicious and they (and all staff members there) were so nice and helpful. Especially Amilia! She was above and beyond friendly and cheerful. There was plenty of space for us, and we used the yoga studio for workshops and classes. We used the library room as well to gather in circles to sing songs around the fire place. The wifi works great. Those are all my "pluses", and the "minuses" would be: the location is outside of town a little ways, its pretty easy to walk to town in 15-20, as this direction is down hill. Coming back is easier with a taxi, 50 pesos. Theres a few little "tiendas" with some basics near the house, but no restaurants. One of the rooms is connected to the bunk room, and there is no bathroom for the bunk room, so we had 5 people sharing that 1 bathroom. There is more bathrooms if you walk into the shared backyard space (the whole courtyard and house are private, and the backyard/terraces are shared with a few little casitas, although I never saw anyone else back there). The house is very cold ~ I stayed at a few other places around town and non were as cold as this house. Theres 3 portable heaters which we used daily and 2 fire places, so that definitely helps! This was perfect for our retreat group and I would stay here again. Thank you!

Beautiful place to stay. A truly paradise . We loved every detail. The hosts were very nice and always willing to help . The hood is not pretty thoug. we are glad we rented a car to come and go downtown.

BOOK THIS PLACE!!! We had a truly amazing 2 weeks stay at Flora Maria's wonderful house!! The TV Room with fire place was perfect for group movie nights, the staff was warm & welcoming and made awesome breakfasts. The rooms are all super spacious and all unique in their own ways. The only downside is the neighborhood which isn't particularly nice and can get a little noisy as well if you are sleeping in the rooms closest to the street side but for the price and quality of property you're getting this is a no brainer. Don't think twice before booking this!

This house was perfect for our big group and yoga retreat. It allowed us to be away from the city while still close to easy transportation in collectivos. Also, the yoga studio, garden, kitchen, and rooms were exactly what we needed for a beautiful week in San Cristobal!

It's a beautiful, comfortable house with good service

Whether you are hosting a retreat or a big friend/family gathering, La Casa de Terra is everything you could ever want and more. It's a short 5 min Taxi or 20 min walk into the city and it's one of the most magical places I've ever stayed. The rooms were comfy and bright, the bathrooms were clean, and the shared rooms were so welcoming. I cannot rave about this home enough. If you're considering booking La Casa de Terra, DO IT.

House of the Earth was in a great location for us and was very well appointed. the inside and outside gardens are lovely. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals and anything else we needed was provided to us by Christian. My only concern is, we thought we had the entire house to ourselves but we did not. there are additional cottages in the back that had access to the main house, so if you want complete privacy be sure to check before you book. We would definitely go back, we would just check first. Flora is very accommodating and responds to any issues you might have.

Great place with tons of nice details in a marvelous town

Our stay at flora Maria’s was great for our large party of 14! We had kids as young as 10 and adults as old as 80, and the space was great for everyone to enjoy! Kids loved the swing and running around the beautiful garden area. Adults enjoyed sitting by the wood-burning fireplace. Flora Maria was super helpful with putting us in contact with local chauffeur, cleaning service, and cook. We enjoyed some excellent meals right there at the house. Rooms may get a little chilly at night but the heaters provided are really effective. Downside is that it isn’t walking distance from much in town. But overall I don’t think you could find a better house to stay in town. Rustic & charming.

Beautiful house with wonderful spaces and views!

The house and garden are amazing. The rooms are very comfortable, there is always hot water available. Although there is traffic outside the house at certain times, there is no noise inside. Highly recommended and we would definitely stay here again.

Casa Flora María is an incredible place, very beautiful and very large, like a large hacienda with huge and beautiful gardens. The rooms are extremely comfortable, they have all the amenities for a luxury stay at an excellent price. Also, Jessy and Cristian are super friendly and always available to help with whatever you need. Communication with Flora was excellent and I would highly recommend anyone to stay in this wonderful place. I hope to return to San Cristobal and if so, I will surely return to the Flora Maria house. Thank you for a memorable stay!

This is a beautiful house and garden, a true gem. Flora Maria is a lovely host and very responsive to guest's needs. I would recommend it to anyone. I do think people should be aware (we were surprised by this) that if you rent the main house, guests from two units in the garden will have keys to the front door and will walk through the patio and dining room. I wasn't especially comfortable with this, though it might not bother a lot of people. I just think people should know in advance. Other than that, we had a lovely stay.

This place is majestic! You MUST stay here. It's like being in a fairytale! Everything is top notch yet rustic at the same time. It's a beautiful place! Our stay was amazing! There were 15 of us and they loved the location. They all continue to say they felt in a fairy tale on the property. Everything was amazing and we loved that they left us flowers in vases everywhere apart from all the plants and pots in the property. Excellent attention! Thank you so much for making this possible!
