We had a wonderful family vacation in SMA at Jacqueline’s place. Amazing location next to the park, felt private but close and walkable to centro. Beautifully decorated and spacious home for a family of 5 with a well stocked kitchen. Highly recommend!

This house was amazing in every way. It was spotless, beautifully designed, incredibly spacious, and felt truly luxurious. We traveled as a family of five with three young children (all 6 and under), and it was absolutely perfect for us. The layout worked so well: there's a primary bedroom on the first floor, while the second floor has another primary bedroom, a room with two twin beds, and another with a queen bed. The third floor features the kitchen, living area, and two incredible patios with breathtaking views. It was such a peaceful place to relax and unwind. A housekeeper came Monday through Friday, and she was wonderful. I could definitely get used to having daily housekeeping! We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. I would absolutely stay here again when—not if—we return to San Miguel de Allende.

Second stay at a great house. Would definitely come again!

I can't recommend Jacqueline's casa enough. It was a lovely house and perfect for me and my friends and family. It was a perfect location just above Parque Juarez. The bedrooms were all very comfortable with nice ensuite bathrooms. The kitchen was large and had everything we needed. There is a large picture window in the living room looking out to the beautiful terrace and wonderful views of the city. It was nice to relax on the terrace and watch the beautiful sunsets in the evening.

We loved our stay at Jacqueline's beautiful home. Communication was great from start to finish with both Jacqueline and her house manager, Jonathan. They provided helpful instructions and recommendations including connecting us with Julio for transportation between the home and Queretaro and great local recommendations. The house is even more beautiful than the photos, impeccably clean, and the perfect location close to the Centro but also very peaceful and private. We enjoyed walking through the nearby park, so much great food, and spending mornings and evenings on the terrace. Angeles, the housekeeper was very sweet and saved the day as we were checking out...my daughter accidentally left her beloved "kitty" lovie tangled in the bed linens. Fortunately, Angeles found her as she started cleaning in that room first and ran Kitty out to us as we were getting in the car! A wonderful stay and we will definitely be back!

We stayed at Jacqueline's for seven nights in April 2025. Her place is spectacularly beautiful with great views, in a great location, and provides all the comforts you need. The kitchen and bathrooms are well stocked. The beds are mostly comfortable, although the king bed in the master room is on the harder side. Two terraces provide plenty of outdoor space. There is no a/c, but we didn't require any. The house has three flights of stairs since it's built into a hill, but they were well lit and easy to navigate - San Miguel is hilly anyway. Highly recommend this place.

Beautiful home and spectacular views. check in was easy and the cleaning staff was amazing. We had a great time, I recommend to meet your guides at "lavaderos del chorro" as it's easier for bigger vehicles to pick up large groups for tours. Overall our experience was amazing and we would recommend it. Property is a short walk to the park which was beautiful and our favorite breakfast place in the area as tres Fuentes. Thank you for opening your beautiful home to our family.

A beautiful property close to the center of town, with gorgeous views of the town and sunset. We enjoyed the home - although I agree with other reviewers that the number of steps in the home may not be for everyone especially those with young children or older guests. Otherwise it was very comfortable and tastefully decorated. For our older crew we enjoyed the patio and its couches immensely for afternoon drinks and morning coffee. My only criticism is that we were told daily housekeeping would be included and this was not the case and I would have loved some coffee in the home when we arrived. However this did not mar an otherwise wonderful stay in a truly lovely property that is really well located.

Jacqueline's home was wonderful! We had 4 couples and everyone had plenty of space. We took advantage of the indoor/outdoor spaces, enjoying the view from one patio and the water feature in the other. Jonathan was a helpful house manager, recommending a massage therapist that came to the house and local chefs who made us a delicious and filling mexican feast at the house. He also dealt with a small issue we had at the house quickly and had it resolved within hours. The home is well located and we walked just about everywhere we wanted to go. All the sites, restaurants, shops are accessible by foot - just know SMA is a little hilly and filled with cobblestones. The house had everything we needed, including a maid daily (except weekends), a gardner 3x/week and fresh water. The only small suggestion for Jacqueline is to have some basic condiments handy in the kitchen. The bathrooms came with shampoo, soap and hair dryers. Highly recommend for a great stay in SMA!

Words can not describe how amazing this house was. Our family literally felt right at home. The staff was absolutely amazing and so kind to us. The house was so clean and filled with beautiful greenery that just gave the home so much life. The ambiance was so relaxing. Our favorite part was to wake up before sunrise with a cup of coffee and enjoy the outdoor patios. It was so close to all the events we had lined up for our trip and was about a ten min. walk to the main plaza and cathedral. Taxis were also available if needed near by. We definitely would love to come back and reserve this beautiful home again when we return . ❤️

We had a great spring break trip with our three small girls and grandmother. The house has a great layout for a family and the check-in process was super easy. Angeles the sweet housekeeper was available to answer any questions we had about the house. The property manager was also able to recommend someone to come make breakfast/babysit so we got to enjoy the house quite a bit during the day. A short 10 minute walk from the restaurants and Jardin but you also felt safe and private behind a gated entrance. We would definitely come back and stay at Jaqueline's house again!

We had a great stay at Jacquelines home. It was clean and well furnished. We were always able to get ahold of the host and they were very helpful. The location was fabulous, close to everything. We walked everywhere and didn’t have to get in a car all week. We loved sitting out on the deck and enjoying the view. My husband loved the firm mattress in the master bedroom but it was too hard for me. Fortunately they had a softer mattress in one of the other bedrooms so I ended up sleeping in there after a few nights on the hard mattress and then I slept great. They had plenty of water available for refilling our water bottles as it is not advised to drink the tap water unless you are used to it. We didn’t have to use the kitchen because so many great restaurants to choose from although it was fully stocked with nice appliances, we did use the Vitamix. Highly recommend.

Jacqueline's stunning home was perfect for 3 couples in town for a wedding weekend. It is in a quiet oasis- a handful of homes protected by a security gate, and within 10 minute walking distance of restaurants and shops. The furnishings are beautiful, the house is very well built. Everyone had their own spacious bedroom and comfortable beds. The top floor living space , roof deck and peaceful view made it difficult to leave the house each morning! Jacqueline was easy to communicate with and gave us great suggestions along the way. Would highly recommend!!!

We are so happy with our decision to stay here! Beautiful home and an ideal layout for a family or group of friends. Amazing open living on top floor with two private patios. With two small children, cleanliness is high on our list. The home was spotless! In addition, the best and linens were all very comfortable. The wifi is great too. Private neighborhood on a quiet street, with a dedicated parking spot! Short walk to the park and 10-15 minute walk to the main square. So many great restaurants, shopping, and cafes within walking distance. Also easy to get in and out of town if you want to explore the wineries. We would absolutely stay here again!

Absolutely fantastic stay. Quiet, gorgeous views, very close to Centro. A beautiful park at your doorstep. The house is comprised of three levels with 37 steps from bottom (one bed and bath) to middle (three beds and three baths) to upper (kitchen, 2 patios, bathroom and living space). Some details you might not get from the listing: (1) kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans but there are no food items, no coffee, no salt and pepper, no oil, nothing. This made our cooking difficult because we had to get those items; (2) there is only one blow dryer in the master and other rooms are far away so we had to run back and forth; (3) no conditioner; (4) if you like privacy please note that 2 gardeners and a very lovely maid come most mornings and are there from 9-12; (5) Jonathan would respond about 2-3 hours after an initial text (we were arranging to have fabulous Gaby come and cook for us). If you call him, he won’t answer, but then he will text you back.

Jacqueline’s home is beautiful! Our family of 8 absolutely loved staying here. We had checked in to another Airbnb that was subpar and then had plumbing problems which allowed us to check out early and find a new place. Jacqueline was quick to respond and get her place ready for us in a matter of a few hours. We stayed for 2 weeks over Christmas. The home had everything we needed to stay comfortably for the holiday and with our kids we cooked at the home most nights. The location is wonderful. An easy 7 minute walk to the center or a 3 minute walk to Juarez park. The city is spectacular and this home is located near the heart of it.

This house is spectacular. We enjoyed: daily walks in the park, the rooftop every morning with coffee and sunset, every room with great beds, great linens and towels and it's own bathroom, multiple areas throughout the house to gather in smaller groups or alone. Angeles, the housekeeper who comes several times a week is AMAZING and we loved her so much. She was so friendly and helpful. The area was so safe, and peaceful (by SMA standards of noise of course). Plenty of the big jugs of water. Incredibly well stocked kitchen- we visited City Market on our first day and cooked quite a bit at home. As the host mentions- there are a lot of stairs, and the entire living area is on the 2/3rd floor, which means great views! We loved the layout entirely. But if you struggle with stairs or mobility, this would not be a good house for you. Even though there's so much glass, the house was quiet, and noise didn't travel between rooms. Lastly- laundry that includes a dryer!! Love this house :)

Beautiful home in the perfect location. This is a very manageable walk from the heart of San Miguel, just block from the wonderful Parque Juarez, and just at the distance from town where you go up the mountain a bit and get beautiful views over the city. The home is stylish and clean, Mexican and modern. Plenty of room, but feels very comfortable and cozy. The pictures do not do it justice, especially the amazing top floor which is for living and entertaining and includes a huge patio area with an amazing view. Jacqueline and all the folks who help her with her home (especially Angeles) were a delight to deal with. Great experience and highly recommend.

We had an incredible time staging at Jacqueline’s beautiful home over New Years. SMA is gorgeous and this home is in the perfect location: quiet, safe, and right next to the park…easy access to el centro but just far enough away to be away from the noise and crowds. We loved watching the sunset from the main terrace (the views are jaw dropping) and starting each day with coffee in the same spot. We all felt this home provided great value for money and that the home was even nicer in person than it appeared in the listing. Can’t wait to come back!

The pictures on the website do not do justice to this fantastic place. The moment we walked in, we felt like we were truly in Mexico. The house has an interior courtyard outside the second floor bedrooms that I didn't even realize was "outside" until I stepped out of my bedroom the first morning. It is a really cool set-up, being covered but open to the outdoors. The top floor which contains the living room, dining room, and kitchen is beautifully appointed, including a gas fireplace which was so nice to have in the mornings. This floor also has a truly outdoor courtyard with a small dining table (in addition to the larger one inside) and a very large terrace that overlooks San Miguel. We (eight of us) spent our late afternoons having drinks and snacks and playing board games on the terrace --- a highlight of our stay. The location is great as well, only about a 10 minute walk to the main plaza in the town centro. Also, the house manager was extremely helpful and responsive.

This is a fabulous property with a great staff. Everything was absolutely top notch. We did not use the kitchen or employ a cook, so I can't speak to those features. The views, patios and accommodations were all superb. We were there in late August, and the mosquitoes were active. Bring repellent. Also, the San Miguel cobble-stone streets are very rough and the sidewalks are narrow. Bring substantial and comfortable walking shoes. Restaurante del Parque is nearby at the corner of Diezmo Viejo and Canadita de los Aguacates. They serve a late lunch and offer take out. The staff there was very friendly and accommodating. Their English was better than my Spanish.

We rented the house over two years ago for our sons wedding and because of Covid we had to rescheduled four times. Jacqueline the owner worked with us to make our stay happen. The house is amazing and fit our needs perfectly. Angelina, the housekeeper, was so sweet and did an amazing job. We had a leak in one of the bathrooms and it was taken care of quickly without any bother to us. Our only complaint was that a few beds were very hard but other than that the house was perfect. We have stayed in another San Miguel home, which opened up directly to the street and it was very noisy. This home is close to the town square but on a very quiet, private street with an amazing view! The neighbors were also very kind and helpful in providing great recommendations. We will definitely stay here again! Thank you again.

This property is spectacular. First time to SMA...wasn't sure what to expect. The city is truly a gem and so is this property. The location is ideal within 10 minutes walking distance of the main plaza and a short 2-3 minute walk to the park. There is also a set of stairs a few minutes from the house on Calle El Chorro if you are looking for some good exercise. We were really impressed by the cleanliness and upkeep of the house. The towels, bed sheets, pillows etc..were of good quality and clean. We had maid service 2 out of the 4 days and they host had provided purified water on the 2nd and 3rd floor which was really nice to not have to go up and down the stairs for water. Would definitely recommend this property. Looking forward to going back!!!

Amazing view, a few blocks from downtown, very clean and comfortable, incredibly clean and excellent amenities.

This house is amazing, what upper decks (one private, one with a view)! Great finishes , from the stone floors, to heavy wood ceiling beams, to heavy metal window and door frames, to stone counters, and excellent appliances, two gas fireplaces, etc. The house features a long stairway, yet is quite walkable and accessible. The bedrooms are private (albeit a bit extensive on the interior glass). The house has no interior heat or cooling, but the dryness and climate are so nice that the lack of climate control is refreshing. The home is a ten minute walk along beautiful cobblestone streets to the main plaza, and accross the street from the boutique Sierra Nevada Hotel (yet much higher elevation) and overlooks Parque Juarez and the Rosewood Hotel at the other end of the park. The interior furnishings are tasteful and pleasant. We would return.

What a wonderful place to stay in SMA! Close to the centro yet far enough away to feel quiet and secluded - I also loved the church bells marking the time in SMA. The house is spread over 3 levels with 4 bedrooms and separate bathrooms which was perfect for the group of 4 of us. We enjoyed the two large patios - especially the views from the front of the casa. The house has a large kitchen and living room and we enjoyed spreading out and using the space. Angeles visited every couple of days to help freshen up the bedrooms/etc. A very relaxing and enjoyable place to stay!

This house is spectacular! Jacqueline and Jonathan were great hosts and we felt very comfortable in their house. The nice personal touches, like fresh flowers, pitchers of filtered water and pastries upon arrival were very sweet. Our group was in town for a wedding and the location of the house was perfect for all the events we attended plus it was a pleasant stroll to the center of town. It was quite warm when we visited and wished the house had a pool but the patios in front and back were great to sit in the shade!

No!

This house is outstanding! The pictures on AirBnB don't do it justice. Jacqueline and Johnathan were more than happy to answer any questions we had in a timely manner. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the kitchen and dining area were perfect, but the best part is the outside area overlooking San Miguel. It was beautiful and relaxing. We walked to the square and all around San Miguel with ease. I highly recommend this home and will stay here again the next time we visit San Miguel! Thank you so much!

The house would not be suitable for older people because of the numerous stairs. Master bedroom and two bedrooms on second floor, kitchen, sitting room, dining room and deck on third floor. Also bed in master bedroom has a very hard mattress and the sofa in sitting room, the dining room chairs and deck furniture is equally as difficult to sit on. Also it is about a 20-25 minute walk to centro.

Host Response

Hi Barbara, I'm sorry that the stairs were not emphasized in the description of the house. That's good feedback and I will certainly remedy that. Our house is in Centro but perhaps you are referring to the distance to the central church or "Jardin", which according to Google Maps is a 11 minute walk. But it's true that the cobblestones can make the walk slower if you're not used to them. If you stay with us in the future, please remember that Jonathan, our house manager, who is in regular contact, is happy to help with any kind of issues such as your need for softer surfaces. You are also welcome to contact me at anytime. We really do want to make your visit comfortable.

This home is magical! Perfectly located, pristinely clean and decorated like its off the pages of Vogue, it is a perfect family refuge. The pictures cannot do this place justice! The views, the touches, the comfort, the entire vibe of this home completes the trip to San Miguel. We felt welcomed and safe and we all cried when it was time to leave. I cannot imagine a better value and experience. We will absolutely be back!

The first thing that stands out is the attention of the hosts during our stay. Jonathan was always making sure that we had what we needed, and the cleaning lady was very efficient and helpful. The house is very comfortable, with many common areas to spend time together and share, and also with spaces to reflect or read in private. The kitchen is special for those of us who like to cook, and all the areas, including the bedrooms, are very spacious, clean and comfortable. We really felt like we were at home, but with better service! The house is really beautiful and very comfortable. Highly recommended to visit
