It's only been a day and I am ready to return!! My family of four (two kids- 11 and 8) had a wonderful week at Claudia's place in Mareazul. It was a perfect blend of quiet, beachfront, tons to do, good places to eat, beautiful pool and land, safe, near downtown Playa del Carmen---and all that in between! If you are looking for a family-friendly location, but not an all-inclusive resort, yet right on the beach with amenities like a HUGE pool and tennis and bikes--this is for you. Her place is exactly as described- we loved every minute. We spent the days at the pool and beach, reading on our porch, and eating yummy food (esp breakfast) at Faro Azul. We spent the nights heading to town to enjoy authentic scenery and food. We took taxis and walked one night-- it felt safe and allowed us to experience Mexico (unlike an all-inclusive). We did one excursion and that was enough for us! I would highly recommend this place- you cannot go wrong.

This was a lovely place to stay. The pools were huge and well maintained, the beach was fantastic, the condo was clean and had everything we needed.

We had a wonderful time staying in Claudia’s condo. We are a family with 3 small children under 5 and this condo was perfect for our needs. The kids loved the private wading pool off the back balcony. They swam in it every day. The main pool in the complex was huge and beautiful! Super easy access to the beach which was also beautiful and the ocean was so calm most days the kids were able to play in the water. We have been to Playa del Carmen many times, usually we stay in town but this time we wanted a more resort type environment without it being all inclusive. This condo was perfect for that. It had nice amenities but wasn’t too over the top. It was also really close to 5th ave and super easy to get in and out of the complex. We ended up getting a rental car and that made everything very convenient. We also felt quite safe when inside the complex because of the two security checkpoints and the security guard at the beach. We would definitely stay at this condo again!

We had the absolute best time and are already planning our next year’s trip and 💯 staying at Mareazul. We are actually bummed we left to go to Cozumel and wish we had stayed there the whole time which is what we will do next year. Mareazul is a close drive to downtown so very convenient for dining out and shopping but the beach, pool and general grounds at Mareazul are very relaxing, easy and beautiful. Great unit. Also great food at the cafe in the condo. 12 out of 10.

We had a wonderful stay! The private beach, pools, and restaurant facility were great. It was also a great location to access places like Xcaret.

Appealingly furnished apartment that fully complies with the descriptions. Parking right outside the door. Part of a quiet, gated condominium with large pool area and beach access. Restaurants and shops can be reached in about 10 minutes by car (downtown Playa del Carmen) or by the two bikes.

Claudia's Condo at Mareazul was a wonderful retreat. The Condo was well appointed with an assortment of sand/water toys, a well stocked kitchen & quality/clean linens. We throughly enjoyed the back patio & the full kitchen. The bikes & lock were really fun & convenient to ride into town - which was only a 15-20min ride. Security on site was top notch - we didn't have any concerns about safety during our stay. The front desk was friendly & had great recommendations, & restaurants on site were great. The condo had some normal wear & tear; & when we did have an issue with the AC, Claudia had maintenance out to address it ASAP. The pool & the beautiful white sand beach were the highlights of the well maintained grounds. We really enjoyed our stay here & would be happy to return again in the future.

As a veteran Airbnb vacationer I was not disappointed with Casa Naj. We had a party of 6 with two kids and everyone loved it. Huge resort pool, beach access, restaurants, bike trails and quick access to all of PDC. Great choice for peace, party and Coati sightings.

The apartment is as shown in the photos. Very well equipped, spacious and comfortable (air conditioning is fine and necessary). The pool in front is private, very shallow, and with cooler water than the sea. A luxury. At the reception of the complex they are very attentive and helpful. To stay there!!

Loved this location away from all the chaos of la quinta avenida. Exactly what we wanted. El Faro Azul was excellent for beverages & breakfast. Noe was an excellent waiter. The use of the umbrellas & chairs on the beach was so convenient & easy. We will be back!

I must admit, Claudia’s place set the bar very high. Her place is beautiful, clean and very homely. For the price that you pay, you are getting quite a lot. Yes, the resort/property isn’t a high end one but it does just fine as the location is not far from great destinations.

We stayed for a week and we couldn't ask for more. Excellent condo. Private pool is knee height for an average adult. We were in the off season so we had the common pool nearly to ourselves. Private beach was clean and no problem getting chairs/umbrellas to sit. Would recommend to anyone looking for a place in Playa del Carmen. The one thing we did was rent a car and we did find it very useful. We drove to 5th Ave restaurants every evening and were able to find free street parking without issue. The unit has reserved parking right outside.

Beautiful apartment, good beach, pools and restaurants. Worth the money

Claudia's place exceeded my expectations. I feel like the pictures didn't do justice to the place. Her condo is located in a very safe estate. We were welcomed with a fresh fruits basket and a bottle of wine. It is a 10 to 15 minutes drive to 5th avenida and the concierge were always helping with booking taxis for us. The estate has a couple of beautiful pools, a kid playing area, a gorgeous beach and 2 restaurants. Claudia's condo has 2 bikes for your use. We really enjoyed our family vacation there.

Claudia’s apartment is exactly as described. The complex is perfectly located. It is about a 10 minute cab ride to the center of Playa Del Carmen and you can actually use the bikes stored in the laundry room to bike to 5th avenue. The complex has a HUGE pool and easy access to the beach with plenty of beach chairs and shades. It also has 2 restaurants on site. The concierge is really helpful and they provide their cell number so you can contact them whenever you need a taxi (taxi arrives right outside your apartment). As far as the apartment itself, it is very clean with very nice furnishings. We will definitely be staying here again!

Great space, nicely furnished indoors and out. Everything is clean and modern, large tv’s for comfortable downtime. The bikes are a really nice touch, as was the welcome bowl of fruit.

This was our second time staying at Claudia’s. We had such a great time the year before that we booked as soon as the dates for this year opened. As always, Claudia was super responsive to a couple small requests we had. The unit is beautifully and elegantly decorated and we asked for a couple items to be moved to ensure our kids didn’t damage anything. The unit is well stocked with beach and pool toys, so there’s no need to buy anything. The fridge and cabinets contain non-perishable items left by successive guests which also is great since you don’t have to buy every last thing at the supermarket (ketchup, jam, sugar, etc.). The Mareazul complex continues to make improvements to its property. This year, the convenience store has expanded and does not charge resort prices. Great to buy beer, milk, sodas. The pool areas has new limestone tiling which replaced the hot wooden planks. The pools are really amazing. Really hope to return next year.

I can't wait to go back to Claudia' well-appointed condo. Tasteful decor, no clutter or tchotchkes, and comfortable furnishings in pristine shape. Pillows and bed linens are top notch. The centerpiece is the spacious patio -- we "lived" out there on the lounge chairs in front of our picturesque wading pool. Beach access is convenient (just beyond the pools), and the staff sets you up with complementary chairs and umbrellas when you arrive. Claudia's bikes were a big plus: 5th Ave starts a block from the resort, but it's just sort of a back street there, so it's perfect for biking down to the shops and restaurants about 2 miles away. Also I'm a runner, this is a great running path! No surprise Claudia is a superhost! She responds quickly and gives great advice. For example she suggested Cheap Transfers to/from the airport: it's inexpensive, punctual, and a private van -- not with add'l passengers. Cheers and thanks for everything, Claudia!

Claudia's place is beautiful and has all the amenities of a resort including beach service and 2 restaurants on-site. It is within 10 minutes driving distance to 5ta avenida and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. The condo pool is perfect for lounging and little kids. the place is not equipped with baby gear like a pack n play or high chair so you need to make arrangements for that or bring your own. Claudia pays great attention to detail specially with the well stoked kitchen, we appreciated not having to buy spices, condiments, etc. we'll definitely be back!

We absolutely loved our stay with Claudia, and would definitely book this condo again! The condo is exactly as described. We traveled with our.5 year old and 3 month old, and felt safe during our entire stay. Our 5 year old loved the dipping pool, the sand toys (we added a few for future families), the large pool onsite and the jungle gym and trampoline. I was so thankful for the attentive staff on the beach who were quick to get us chairs and an umbrella. We ate at the beachside cafe everyday and the food was flavorful and the service was top notch. We enjoyed the stretch of beach this property is on, as there aren’t many tourists around. 10/10 - book this place!

Our family loved this condo and can’t wait to come back. It had everything we needed and the beach was spectacular. We took a taxi into 5th for dinners which was a short distance away. We have been to MX several times and this place was our favourite!

The condo is as pictured/described and the staff onsite are excellent. The copious information given was helpful and accurate. The on-site restaurants are very nice to have, especially the breakfast place by the ocean. The beach pool and beach areas are very clean and beautiful. My in-laws own a place in Cabo, and were very impressed with the beauty of the property, the size and amenities in the condo—and the resort as a whole. This is a beautiful, peaceful alternative if you are disinterested in the party atmosphere usually present in a lot of bigger resorts.

This place is great. The apartment is on a large compound Corasol and has security. You can safely run, bike, golf, etc. The apartment is large and equipped with all the comforts. Each space has air conditioning and the 2 bedrooms has a lot of closet space and a bathroom with toilet. The plunge pool terrace is great and pretty private. Towels, standard supplies for bath and kitchen are all provided. There was even a stocked fruit bowl and a bottle of Merlot candle! This was very nice. Claudia is very easily accessible and a wonderful hostess. Top apartment and top location. Close to everything.

This in excellent location, it has very large pools, the beach is like private, very clean and little sargassum or sometimes nothing, service in the pool and excellent beach, very family atmosphere I definitely recommend it to 1000%.

This place was better than we had hoped for. The host was very communicative and helpful. The home was gorgeous, and it was a very safe resort condo to stay in. We hope to come back later this year!

Beautiful condo and property! Claudia is an excellent host. She is easily accessible and very responsive. The condo has a keypad entry code which you are given prior to your stay. It also has a stackable washer/dryer. The condo has a splash pool right off the balcony it is about 2 feet deep. The property has a big shared pool and it’s about 4.5 feet deep…you can access the beach a few steps away from the pool. The property offers a seating area. There are two restaurants and a small store on sight. Claudia’s property also has a queen inflatable bed which was great for our family. The property very quiet and peaceful. There is also a 3rd bathroom in the laundry room. I would highly recommend Claudia’s condo!

Loved staying here!!! The beach is clean (walking distance) and the pool area is great.

We have stayed in the Mareazul complex 5 times now and Claudia's apartment was by far the best unit we've stayed in. All units at Mareazul have the same layout, but the difference with Claudia's unit is that (1) The Unit and all furnishings are completely new, nothing is dated; (2) There were lots of extras in the apartment which we did not have to go out and purchase including floaties, bicycles, sugar and other non-perishable kitchen items, coffee maker and blender, and (3) the best wifi of any Unit. The Unit has it's own personal mini-pool. It's about 50 meters from the gigantic main pool and about 100 meters from the beach. The Mareazul complex has added a number of extras in the past year. There are now two restaurants - one at the middle of the pool, and a new breakfast restaurant and bar between the pool and the beach. We really love Mareazul because the pool and beach are unmatched, and we prefer a la cart menu choices over all-inclusive resorts. We have always had a rental car for freedom of movement and we often go to the town to sample many of the great restaurants both on and off 5th Avenue. Its a 8-12 minute drive to the downtown and we always find parking close to our favorite spots. I would definitely stay at Claudia's again and really enjoyed the personal touch of this Unit.

This place was amazing. It was clean, and exactly as described. The pool was amazing and the access to the beach could not have been better.

Excellent stay and highly recommend this place. Host: Claudia is an excellent host, I many, many, many questions and she would always respond within an hour and was able to answer any and all questions. She left us some welcome fruit and wine, which was very kind. Common areas: Very clean, all the appliances are high end and it is well stocked with both beach and bath towels. The TVs with the smart TV function were very handy. The internet was EXCELLENT as 4 of us were able to work remotely on it. Laundry machine and dryer worked great. The air conditioning worked very well. Outdoor space: the deck was lovely, it has three distinct seating areas, the pool itself is about two feet deep and is cleaned daily. Kitchen: Well stocked with pots, pans and dishes that were all clean and in good shape. The blender was great for making smoothies especially with all the fresh fruit available in the area. Only thing missing was a toaster (very minor). The host left us with some hot sauces in the fridge along with the basics needed for cooking: oil, salt, pepper. Bedrooms: Comfortable beds and linens, nice firm pillows with two softer ones. There were throws available in case you needed them. Bathroom: clean, good water pressure, the host provides soap, shampoo, conditioner. Additional toilet paper was available at the mini mart for about 20 pesos. Resort: the facility was amazing, the staff rake the seaweed on the beach daily and the water was just incredible. The pool is large and clean and very inviting. The two restaurants were delicious and reasonably priced, the beach restaurant offers fresh juice daily. Location: right on the beach with about a 15 minute bike ride to town or 7 minute taxi ride. It was nice to be close to town but not right in it, we were able to go for dinner most evenings. Cost of a taxi to 5th Ave area is about 200 pesos. Safety: secure area with two security gates, one to get into Corasol and the second to get into Mareazul. Claudia also shared the contact of a taxi driver David Trinidad who was EXCELLENT, we always felt safe with him, he speaks both English and Spanish and he helped us with getting our covid tests and accompanied us to some great local restaurants that were off the beaten path. I was a little nervous about going with the recent tracel advisories in Mexico, but always felt safe at the air bnb and with the folks that Claudia recommended. The only downside of the stay was that there is intermittent construction during the day, it was noisy on two days of our stay, but Claudia helped us determine when it would end and got them to pause when we had meetings. As a very picky traveler, I would not hesitate to book Claudia's place again.

This was a great place. loved the pool right off the deck. super quiet and really decent food at the restaurants on site, as well as a small market. it's only a few minute bike ride to some great local restaurants. Host's are very nice and quick to respond. comfortable beds too!

Excellent new apartment, equipped and everything works perfectly! Much better than in the photos, exceeded our expectations, excellent for long stays, we were 1 month very enjoyed! The beach is beautiful and the common areas too! The cleanliness and order throughout the complex is very good as well as the attention! 100% recommended, we definitely return! An excellent space, super clean, tidy and new! Exactly as shown in the photos, Claudia is very friendly and attentive to any situation that arises! The beach is beautiful 😍 we spent a month in the apartment and felt right at home! Highly recommended! Everything works perfect, laundry, jacuzzi, equipped kitchen.
