6BR Villa in Solferino

Very good place… The beach is amazing!

The place is spectacular, it feels like a hug for the soul, the beach is beautiful and the sand is soft. The house in person is much more beautiful, the rooms are a good size and have air conditioning. The chef is a success, the included breakfast was always a 10 and the extra meals we added were enjoyed to the fullest. We went to the sanctuaries for the cocoa ritual and it's an experience we'll never forget, and making ice was also revitalizing. Adriana is the best host, attentive, kind, magical, intelligent, her support was key to everything being so beautiful. THANK YOU VERY MUCH! ❤️

Casa Awakening was a beautiful respite, steps away from the ocean. Our family of six spent the week in and out of the water all day. The morning breakfast was always delicious, and we had the chefs prepare dinner a few evenings, which was a real treat. The house location is central in El Cuyo, very close to the pier, restaurants, brunch places, kite surfing camps, and wellness treatments. We even had the chance to visit the Casa Awakening sister property deep in the Yucatan jungle that had a giant cenote! We will definitely be coming back!

Such an amazing experience in El Cuyo. It may be too quiet for some people, but we loved it. Its like stepping back in time (and away from the big resorts). The location of Casa Awakening could not have been better for walking around the little fishing village. Watched a local soccer match in the plaza and went dancing at the only local place for that (Saturday night only). The staff at Casa Awakening were so pleasant and helpful. The breakfasts were great, much more than we were expecting. We had a few dinners from the private chef and they were delicious! I highly recommend the private cenote and the ATV adventure to Las Coloradas -both were special experiences. I hope to be back to El Cuyo again! Thank you so much for a fantastic stay!!

A gem in El Cuyo, directly on the beach, and walkable to all amenities in town, but so private at the same time. Beautiful healthy breakfasts as well, with a warm staff. Adriana and Martin are exceptional hosts and spiritual guides. We can't recommend this house as well their gorgeous jungle sanctuary (with multiple private cenotes) more highly. Reserve time to stay at both, and also consider one or more of their guided retreats. Our family of 4 (adult children) did ice bathing with the Wim Hof method one day, and a cocoa ceremony and guided psychedelic breath work in their jungle retreat. All very powerful. They are excellent at what they do. We'll be returning!

it's worth every penny you pay, fall in love with this place, the house and the service they give you, I'm definitely thinking about coming back

Andrea!! Nos quedamos con las ganas de disfrutarlos mas!!!! Buen viaje y hasta la próxima!

I really can't say enough what an incredible house this was to stay in. Not only the house itself, but the entire experience you get when you are there is undeniably the best we've ever seen. Leaving the bedroom French doors open to the sea breeze and sounds of lapping waves was absolutely peaceful, calming and romantic to say the least. Adriana, Martin, Allain and every one of the staff made our stay the most memorable we've ever experienced. From the freshly prepared chef meals in the morning and evening to the cenote experience and just all around getting us whatever we wanted, whenever we asked for it. Walking right on to the sand out of the casa and having the beautiful warm water to swim in was beyond incredible. Some days were windy, but the weather was absolutely perfect and warm. Our private beach candlelit dinner was over the top and made for a perfect engagement to the love of my life. The restaurants in town are so quaint and have amazing chefs. All walkable!

Our stay with Adriana at Casa Awakening was beyond amazing. Every single detail was taken care of for us! From the welcoming check in and Cacao Ceremony to the 5 course chef prepared dinner on the beach, to the relaxing massages and nightly bonfires - we felt so well taken care of. The location of the house couldn't be more perfect and while we were close to everything, we also felt like we had our own personal slice of paradise. The incredible staff, and especially the kindness of Adriana, was so appreciated by our group! We almost cried when we left because of how magical our weekend was. Definitely stay for as long as you can because you're not going to want to leave!!!

Magical!! El Cuyo is a special, virgin location. Off the beaten track but still close to all the Yucatán peninsula has to offer! Casa Awakening is set on the beach. Sunrises and sunsets bring priceless surprises every day. Whether rain or sun shining brightly you will fall in love. We woke to the most wonderful breakfasts. Adriana and Martin are lovely hosts and make Casa Awakening what it is. So very welcoming and accommodating. Our five fantastic nights were much too short. Local restaurants are delicious and tasty. Treat yourself to a beach dinner, toes in sand, at Casa Awakening. You are in for a surprise!! We ventured via ATVs to the salt flats nearby seeing flamingos in their natural habitat and splendor along the way. So graceful and beautiful. Cenotes surround the area and hit the spot for the ever-so-refreshing dips so needed in the sweltering Yucatán heat. Ask Adriana for suggestions!! Too many to explore in one visit. Magical location. We will return. Thank you, Adriana and Martin, for sharing a slice of paradise with us.

I cannot recommend enough the Awakening AirBnB! It is so much more than a place to stay- it truly is an experience. Adriana and Martin are wonderful, amazing hosts. El Cuyo is a bit removed from the hectic tourist world and it’s a place of relaxation! The cenote is magical and I cannot recommend it enough!! Both my kids (7&14) ranked the cenote in the top 3 activities from our 10 day trip (and 7 days were on Holbox). Bring pesos (no ATM/ bank in Cuyo… thank you Martin for saving us!!). The included breakfasts are delicious and we had 2 dinners made as well- and the quality compares to a high-end restaurant; truly wonderful and on your patio/ or beach! Mosquitos are not a problem with the ocean breeze!! We cannot wait to return!

Host Response

Thank you soooo much for such a magical review that for us means, that it is all about what you keep in your hard.

This is by far the best hosted experience I’ve ever had using Airbnb. The hospitality of Adriana, Martin, and their staff was incredible. We received advice and suggestions for activities, ate the most amazing meals they prepared through the complete meal option we chose, we visited their private cenote, and loved everything about the home, the location and the people. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer! This was our first time to the region and we booked stays in three separate cities/towns and El Cuyo was our favorite. I hope to be back some day, and I highly recommend this place!!!

We had such a great stay at Casa Awakening. First, the location can’t be beat…easy walking distance to the best restaurants, cafés, and center of town. You are right on the best area of the beach as well. Adrianna and Carlos are extremely responsive and helped us pack our week with the best experiences. Some highlights for us were traveling 40 minutes and swimming in Awakening’s private cenote, booking a private dinner on the beach, and the absolute best massages by Andrea. I also have to add that the included breakfasts were so delicious too. Awakening isn’t just a place to stay, it’s truly and experience. We will be back!

My family and I (8 adults in total) just returned from a week in El Cuyo and Casa Awakening. At the time of writing this review (Feb 2022) Adriana and Marten are not listed as a súper-hosts but I’m sure they soon will be. She has many years in the hotel service industry and it shows. The location of the house is GREAT! Right on the beach but easily walkable to restaurants and Cafe Naia is located directly behind the house. They work very hard to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Communication before and during your stay is top notch and it’s easy since they live on the premises. We spent a day at their private cenote and is highly recommended. They were able to make suggestions and schedule day trips and massages for us. Breakfast each morning is delicious and plentiful. We arranged four dinners through the week and Alfredo the chef did an awesome job. Their staff are friendly and they work just as hard as Adriana and Marten do to make your stay a memorable one. El Cuyo quickly became one of our favorite places here in Mexico and we will definitely be returning. Thank you so much Adriana and Marten and don’t forget to look us up if you ever get to Zacatecas.

This is the premier property in the premier location in El Cuyo, which is itself the best beach town in Mexico that we have ever been to. Bedroom and outdoor dining spills right onto the beach. We took advantage of the wonderful great value dinners that were offered on property and took all of Adrianna’s advice for activities. One after the other exceeded our expectations. And Adrianna is attentive and thoughtful in every way and she has a great staff ready to please. We don’t need to look any where else for our next vacation and intend to return soon.

This place is absolutely wonderful! Adriana and Martin are amazingly generous and kind people who have put their heart and souls into making "Casa Awakening" a magical experience and it truly shows. The breakfasts were such a pleasant start to each day and the chef prepared meals at night were mouth watering feast to both the eyes and the mouth!!! El Cuyo is the perfect little town for those wishing to be off the beaten path. The locals are all genuinely friendly and helpful. It feels like a world away from the tourist traps of Cancun. I loved it so much, I'm already planning on coming back!!!

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful house and place. The house is located on the beach and your garden is the sea. Our kids were so happy they could play all day in the sand. It is so wonderful and peaceful there. Adriana made everything special with a great breakfast in the morning and she also prepared us dinner for both nights that we stayed there. Her husband helped us organize some activities and it was really great. El Cuyo is wonderful and we will come back.

Adriana’s place was amazing. We felt welcomed days before we arrived! The attention to our needs and desires were incredible. This wasn’t a home rental...this was an experience. Adriana organized a day trip to her private cenote, organized a special 4 course meal on the beach for New Year’s Eve, provided copious breakfasts for my hungry teens, and so much more. She and her partner Martin were lovely. We had kite surf classes on the beach in front of the house, a bonfire the 31st, and a welcome that made our holiday so special. Don’t miss this lovely location and her home- el Cuyo is unique , far from the craziness of Tulum or Playa del Carmen. You feel you step back in time and experience Mexico before mass tourism yet Adriana makes sure you have everything you need. I so recommend staying here!
