This place is beyond fabulous. Every room is perfect. It was hard to decide who was going to sleep where because each room was just that great!! The no AC was not an issue, the rooms were all breeze and the fans helped. It was great to wake up with the breeze and sun. Ezster was so easy to work with helped us with all of our check-in needs and Miguel and Alicia who work at the house are incredible chefs and just wonderful to be around. I couldn’t recommend this place more!!! Fabulous birthday trip!

Casa Hypatia is truly more than just a place to stay. It’s a work of art itself that is perfectly in keeping with the rest of San Miguel.

Treat yourself to a beautiful experience, in a beautiful and quaint city, with the most lovely people, in the most wonderful home in San Miguel de Allende. Our hosts were always there for a question or three with an immediate response. When we arrived later than expected, our hosts notified the housekeeper and she was there with a smile as she showed us around this magnificent home that we were fortunate to be pampered in for a few days. The icing on the cake was watching the Olympics in the media room, the exercise room which was better than many hotels and lounging in the pool. The food was amazing and the art was fabulous! Many wonderful local artists. We hope to bring our extended family back here one day soon.

This house is truly amazing for a group. The rooms are large and comfortably furnished, the layout is perfect for multiple families, and the views are simply incredible. It is an easy walk to the main square. The staff is very helpful and accommodating. We will definitely be heading back to SMA in the near future and would love to stay at Casa de Hypatia again. With all sincerity, this is the nicest vacation home we have ever stayed in.

This casa is truly a paradise on Earth — no pictures can capture its beauty or the sense of peace it offers. Our stay was absolutely wonderful and filled with joy. Renting Eszter's house is to immerse yourself in San Miguel de Allende. The house is a treat -- worth every penny and easily hosts 10 people without "crowding." There are plenty of nooks and crannies and terraces for those who seek privacy. Location is great, but wear solid shoes/sandals . Everything in SMA is very casual and walking is fun if you are wearing the right shoes. Eszter's staff are lovely, capable and unobtrusive but there when you need them. I can't recommend this rental too highly.

The house was insanely nice! Jesus and Alicia were fantastic! Highly recommended!

Photos just don't do it justice! We came down for a wedding, and ended up with the best property in the area. It's so much bigger and expansive than we would have thought. Most things are walkable, great nearby restaurants. There were fireplaces (remote controlled) in almost every room including bathrooms! Movie theater, pool table and gym were a hit! Thank you guys 😁

This home is beautifully furnished - in a fantastic position where one can walk through the park to the Cathedral and Square. The home has everything that one requires, with wonderful staff to look after one. The pool was a treat especially when we realized it was heated. This home has fantastic views over SMA and one can hear the sound of the bands from the village square drift up. This is a dream home with all the amenities required for a wonderful stay.

Never have I had such positive joy over entering a home to stay ! For the first few days of our visit I was mesmerized with the ecclesiastical art, the room decor and flow, the variety of rooms, the colors- and the help we go from the housekeeper and "houseman"! This was such a blessing for our family - and since we had grandkid coming for 9 days the heated pool was such a help. Walking to El Centro meant less than a 20 minute walk- not too bad. Having a team of cooks and servers (we had Alicia and Jesus for breakfast and Luis' team for dinners) meant we didn't have to go out for good food. We can't wait to go back!

We are repeat guests at Casa de Hypatia, and cannot praise it enough! It was fantastic to be back—this time with a crew. Nine of us, from several generations, including two teens—and the Casa met all our needs. There are plenty of spaces to gather: the main room by the fire, the game room, the patio by the pool; but there are also spaces for some me-time when you want it. The Casa is close to the Parroquia (main church), the Jardin (main square), and Parque Juarez—you can walk anywhere, with fiestas, processions, and market days always going on. The house is an attraction itself—a San Miguel-based friend praised the authentic decor, and it has staggeringly beautiful views of the Centro and hills from the terrace. We love all the fountains—especially the one with the monkey statues! It's a treat to cook in the wonderful chef's kitchen if you want to stay in. The staff—Jesus and Alicia—are very helpful, preparing splendid breakfasts for us all. We’d be delighted to return again!

Everything about this place was perfect. From the location, architecture, decor, staff, security…everything. We loved celebrating a special birthday in this house. The host was very thorough about check-in and had wonderful recommendations for our group. Would absolutely book this house again!!!

Villa Hypatia exceeded our expectations in every way. The house takes your breath away. The rooms, the bedrooms, the baths, the courtyard, and the gardens are not only architecturally beautiful but also all exquisitely decorated. Our room and our bathroom each has fireplace. The bed is very comfortable. The staffs, Alicia and Jesus were very attentive and respected our privacy at the same time. The breakfast is already prepared when we got up. The villa is located in a beautiful gated neighborhood with 24 hour security in the middle of the old town San Miguel del Allende. It is very convenient and close by all the attractions. The walk to town center is short and delightful, about 10 minutes, and 1 minute walk to the city park. The people we met along the way were friendly and helpful. San Miguel de Alende is one of the most beautiful places we have ever visited. We could not have asked for a better stay or a better host. Eszter is great and responsive! We highly recommend this place!

We have stayed in many houses in San Miguel and Casa here Hayata surpasses them all. The help is wonderful and the house is immaculate. We love to stay here.

We had a wonderful stay, wish it could have been longer. The location couldn't be better, a quiet gated community, a short walk to Parque Juarez and Centro. The house is stunning and the staff were pleasant and very attentive. Eszter was a wonderful host, with great recommendations and even connected us with the perfect caterer to cook a lovely meal for a small dinner we hosted in the house. Lovely outdoor spaces and an incredible view of the cathedral from the second floor patio.

We can’t say enough about Casa de Hypatia. The pictures don’t do it justice, it is one of the most beautiful homes we have ever seen. Jesus and Alicia are great, the daily breakfast was a great way to start the day. It is close to Centro, making it very convenient. Eszter, the homeowner, was awesome. She answered all questions immediately and was very helpful. We will definitely be back. Perks of the stay. The water pressure is great in the showers. The water is safe to drink. The pool got really warm and the kids enjoyed it each evening.

We really enjoyed our week at Eszter’s beautiful home in San Miguel. The house was even better than the pictures on the website. The private community is lovely and just a short walk to the heart of the town. Jesus and Alicia were wonderful and put out a great breakfast for us everyday. We had Luis prepare dinner for us the first night and would highly recommend him. A really wonderful week at Eszter’s house and we will be back.

All I can say is WOW! This place is awesome. If you're considering booking, don't hesitate. Our time in San Miguel was magical and Eszter's place was the absolute BEST:). We will certainly stay again.

oh my gosh, this place is INCREDIBLE!!! Truly one of the most beautiful homes I've ever seen, let alone stayed in! And the amenities are so detailed! We could go on and on about how amazing everything was but we will just summarize that EVERYTHING was AMAZING, trust us! You won't be disappointed, even the pool is warm, the cherry on top! PS make sure to book the chef, Lupe, his food is divine! He cooked us the best ceviche we've maybe ever had!

Beautiful home. Extremely spacious and decorated so well. Jesus and Alecia were so helpful. They cooked breakfast for us each day, made homemade salsa and guacamole dips, and even steamed the dresses for the ladies. The heated pool was awesome as well.

Cannot say enough great things about our stay! Came with group of 10 women to celebrate a friend’s upcoming nuptials. Plenty of room for us to spread out, but the common areas were perfect for gathering. The indoor/outdoor nature of the home was fabulous and the art and architecture were simply breathtaking. Huge thanks to our host for wonderful recommendations (chef and masseuse were amazing!) and the staff at the home made it a truly luxurious experience. Several of us have it bookmarked as a “must return!” spot. Thank you!!

We had an amazing time staying here with our four kids! The accommodations were fantastic, and the whole family had a blast, especially with the pool table and the swimming pool. The space was clean, comfortable, and perfect for a family getaway. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others!

You’ll love this villa, its staff & your stay. When you return from walking the cobblestone streets you’ll step into a private world, all fountains & courtyards. Don’t miss the view of church domes and mountains at sunset! This villa is in the heart of things, near dining, shopping, the park. Drinks atop the Rosewood Hotel just a few blocks away! A grocery store (think Whole Foods) is within walking distance. Ask about the local wines! This place has panache in a modern hacienda style. Fountains play in the sun & you can lounge by the compact pool—or hop into it! Eszter & Mark are ideal hosts & provide a guidebook of information that we consulted so often we called it “the Bible.” The recommendations for local chefs are spot-on. But you’ll want to cook for yourself in the chef’s kitchen! Breakfast, courtesy of Alicia & Jesus, is grand. Such fresh fruit! The house is beautiful and has all the amenities described on the page. Very well located, just 10 min (walking) from the city center. Ezter the host responded to all our doubts quickly and Jesus and Alicia, the people who supported us during our stay, were very kind and always willing to help. There’s a huge conflict staying here - it’s sooo beautiful that it’s hard to leave to explore San Miguel 😂. This home is a treat - the best synthesis of indoor outdoor living I’ve ever had the pleasure to stay in. Organized around an open air courtyard with a second story terrace and a patio with a pool, the only difficulty is choosing where to hang out! This was our first visit to San Miguel de Allende and in hot weather - we made a habit of touring in the mornings and coming home to jump in the pool for immediate relief. Eszter is a great host and has a book of recommendations she’s compiled if we needed a restaurant or a tour recommendation- and we consulted it daily. The house is staffed by two people who greet you with a smile, offer a freshly made breakfast and keep your place in tip top shape. Somebody has to tend all the incredible plants throughout the house. Topping it all off is the beautiful art throughout reflecting the talent and culture of Mexico. A memorable stay!

Casa Hypatia is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! The location is perfect, the home itself is large and open and inviting. There is a gym, movie theater, outdoor living room, heated pool, perfectly stocked kitchen and a rooftop area to see the beauty of SMA! The staff are gracious and the breakfasts are made to order.. absolutely perfect. It can get hot in SMA, so the fans upstairs were helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at Casa Hypatia again.. it was perfect!

I don’t have the words to describe Esther’s home. It is exceptional in so many ways. It was spotless and Jesus and Alicia kept it that way. They were so very helpful, kind, and sweet. The home is decorated and built with attention taken to every detail in every corner. The seven nights just flew by. We met a lovely neighbor that invited us to her 80th birthday party. We enjoyed every minute of it. The one downside was that the basement bedroom was too hot and uncomfortable at night. I would just use the other five bedrooms. And use the basement for the exercise room, game rooms and game table. And the movie theater! It was very fun. We also enjoyed the swimming pool. The pictures do not do the place justice and cannot capture the unique and gorgeous home that it is. I hope we can come back and stay a month! Our balcony had the most gorgeous view of the parochial and the sunset and very comfortable! I would encourage you to rent this home! We definitely want to return and stay longer!

This was the most beautiful house I have ever seen and stayed at. I have already sent the listing to family and friends in the hopes they also stay there. It was so safe, so beautiful and I absolutely need to go back! I am so sad to have left the property! Thank you so so much for all your help.

Eszter went above and beyond to make our stay perfect in every way. Although our trip was cut short, we appreciated everything she did before our arrival to assure that all of our questions were answered. We have rented many properties over the years and she was by far the best property owner we have ever worked with! When the recommended chef was booked for the night of our arrival, Eszter wasted no time in finding another chef who could prepare our dinner. As you can see in the photos, the house is amazing with all the amenities one could ask for. 5 stars are not enough for this fabulous property!

We cannot even express how incredibly beautiful this home is. We felt like we were living in a palace. The decor is impeccable- from the kitchen to the rooms to every single bathroom - each has its own charm. There is ample space and there are wonderful amenities - a pool, home theater, pool table, a foosball table, and a gym. The view from the rooftop patio is breathtaking. Jesus and Alicia were helpful and kind. Eszter was so lovely and even worked with us on dates when our original flights got cancelled! We will be coming back, for sure!

Where do we start?? First, Eszter is a gem! Incredible super host! Fantastic tips, super responsive, and love love love her staff. The photos don't tell the complete story of the true beauty of the house and its prime location! The house is decorated impeccably and so comfortable for the 5 couples that shared the house. Pro tip: budget in some time to just spend at the house! The house is located within a private gated neighborhood. It's located just a short walk from the Rosewood and numerous fantastic restaurants. Our group attended a wedding in San Miguel. Getting around was not problem at all. Taxis are plentiful (around $5-6 dollars each way) but you'll want to walk everywhere that you can. Alicia provided a beautiful breakfast spread every morning (hot items need to be requested the day before). We felt so pampered! Look no further - this is THE primo house in San Miguel with your own personal rooftop and incredible views of the parroquia (San Miguel Arcangel).

The pictures do not do Casa Hypatia justice, each corner has eye candy by way of carefully curated artwork, beautifully intricate tilework, breathtaking views of San Miguel de Allende and colonial furnishings. We really appreciated the common areas, perfect for a large group to either hang out together or peel off and do their own thing. Board games on the rooftop, US Open playing in the movie theater or baby napping by the blissful fountain. Eszter, Alicia, Jesus and Paula were extraordinary. From providing an incredible pamphlet that mentioned the restaurants, Casa Hypatia amenities, masseuse recommendations (Fabiola and her team are AMAZING, do not miss) to really making sure our family reunion truly felt like we were at our home away from home.

What a wonderful place! Beautifully and tastefully decorated. Very close to downtown, yet peaceful and beautiful neighborhood, including the surrounding streets. The staff at casa Hypatia is wonderful. The friendliest people you will ever meet, very flexible and accommodating. We were a group of 8 and had plenty of room for all to find privacy, or a special part of the house where we could all gather. All best restaurants in SMA were between 10 and 15 mins walk. This a a true jewel… hard to put into words. Simply amazing!

Do you like to feel like royalty? Staying in Ezster’s Casa Hypatia delivers! We highly enjoyed our time there, surrounded by the most beautiful, unique, work-of-art rooms, tropical nature, views of the city, and of course, the pool! Casa Hypatia is a gem that stands out even among the beauty that is SMA. Alicia and Jesus were extremely helpful and made our stay so special! In a big group (we were 10) it offers a perfect balance of quiet nooks and gathering places, and the fact that each room has its own bathroom makes it that much more comfortable. There’s also 3(?) more communal bathrooms, so literally nobody will wait for one at any time. The only downside of staying at Casa Hypatia is that you have to go back to your own home eventually! :)

Eszter’s Villa Hypatia exceeded all expectations. We enjoyed a week with 3 generations of family to honor birthdays and connection. The hacienda is impeccable, with amazing spaces, artwork, fountains and elegance throughout. Terrific design with spacious floor plan, multiple view terraces, theatre room and pool we used in the warm afternoons. The ideal location was peaceful yet a close stroll to the heart of San Miguel de Allende. House staff, Alicia and Jesus were friendly, helpful, and professional as they pampered us with daily breakfasts and their exceptional housekeeping. We look forward to have the opportunity to return in the future!

Our stay at Casa Hypatia was like a fairytale! We spent a week in May with our grown children and extended family at Ezster's special home in San Miguel de Allende. It exceeded our expectations in every way. Ezster was helpful, kind and responsive from beginning to end. Her attention to our stay felt as if we were her personal guests. Check in was seamless and she provided us with detailed instructions about her home as well as many helpful recommendations to compliment our stay. Alicia and Jesus were warm and welcoming. Each morning there was fresh fruit, coffee and eggs prepared and waiting in the gorgeous dining room. Each afternoon we returned to tidy rooms. It felt as if we had a private boutique hotel all to ourselves! I cannot reiterate how special Casa Hypatia is. There are beautiful furnishings, stunning art, gorgeous architecture and all of this in the heart of San Miguel! We hope to come back again! Thank you Eszter!

What a beautiful home near everything in San Miguel. Eszter was wonderful answering many questions and sharing information from restaurants to chefs to massage therapists. We were a group of 4 couples and all loved this amazing home with wonderful fountains, pool, game room, and perfect terrace for sunsets and margaritas. Alicia and Jesus were wonderful with delicious breakfast made each morning. We did eat Sunday morning (staff off on Sundays) at a fabulous breakfast place called Marulier Comida...highly recommend. We stayed at Eszter’s place for a week and it was not enough. The house is absolutely amazing. Alicia and Jesus (house staff) were so helpful and amazing, they are helpful with every task so our stay was so comfortable and relaxing. Alicia’s breakfast was so delicious every morning (we paid everyday for next day groceries) and Jesus was very accommodating with any question or request we had. The rooms are so spacious and the common areas were a dream. Make sure to tip the staff at the end of your stay! We will back.

I believe this is the most beautiful house in San Miguel in the best location with the most amazing staff!

This place is awesome and exceeded our expectations. Eszter, the host, was so nice to work with, responded quickly and cared about our stay. She provided information about places to see, things to do and restaurants to go to eat. The Check-in and Check-out procedures were seamless and the location was very convenient. Spanish Colonial style home so beautifully appointed, craftsmanship so expert and old worldly, art and folk art so exquisite while offering fast internet service and many modern amenities like a workout room with equipment, a movie screening room and a game room with a billiards table . The house kept is very clean and the staff are very friendly. The bedrooms are large and comfortable, each having a bathroom, a gas fireplace for cool nights and spectacular views from windows and balconies. Front doors are note worthy in SMA and the wood door with iron hardware didn't disappoint. Lastly, catch a sunset on the terrace upstairs as they are spectacular.

The villa is absolutely beautiful and so well appointed. The artwork is unbelievable ! Casa de Hypatia is located in a gated community close to town, restaurants and within walking distance of a fantastic new grocery store. Being near the Rosewood is a plus. The staff does a marvelous job and we’re very helpful and pleasant. This was our fourth rental in San Miguel and by far the best. Ezster was extremely gracious and “went the distance “ helping me make special arrangements. She provided a 16 page up to date information packet that included restaurants and activities. Could not ask for more! Thank-you for the opportunity to spend 7 wonderful days in San Miguel.

We just returned from a most memorable stay at Eszter’s truly spectacular villa. The house is spacious, beautifully appointed and conveniently located in a gated community just minutes walk from all the sights of San Miguel de Allende. The furnishings and art work accent the architectural beauty of the house. There is plenty of space for your group, including group gathering areas as well as secluded areas where you can retreat if you have to make a private call or get some peace and quiet. Bedrooms have private bathrooms and some have balconies which afford a beautiful daytime or night time view of the town. The housekeepers, Alicia and Jesus, do a wonderful job of keeping the place spotlessly clean and the garden manicured. Alicia’s breakfast is complete and delicious and she will accommodate your food requests willingly and expertly. Eszter answered all our questions during the booking process, was communicative and easy to deal with. We wish we could have stayed longer. We

This casa was absolutely stunning, each bedroom was well equipped and had its charm. Ester was one of the best hosts, super communicative, helpful and very sweet. House staff was warm and accommodating. It’s up the street from Rosewood hotel so quiet and with a great view. This casa made my wedding weekend memorable would definitely return!

Beautiful property with so much history that captures the essence of San Miguel. Plenty of room for the 12 of us that stayed there. Jesus and Alysia who were at the property treated us so well and took care of all of our needs.

Great location and really great place. Great value. Extremely roomy and so many cool areas to sit in the house. Love the open air concept and the art and decor. Kitchen is amazing. All very well-stocked too! Enough for large dinner party at the table. Loved having dishes done and beds made for us daily! And hot coffee already made upon waking! Basement is a bit warm but very soundproof. You can hear the church bells ring early in the morning and also fireworks sometiems from the main floor but this is part of the charm of San Miguel! The host Esther is extremely responsive to any messages before and during! Highly recommend this property.

The house is perfect, with all the amenities, details, love and care one would put in their own home. Every room has thoughtful details, art pieces and entertainment - our family of 5 made great use of them all! The bedrooms are all wonderfully adorned and spacious, have picture-perfect views, and the airy breeze throughout the day makes for restful sleeping. The kitchen has all a chef needs. Although the dining hall (it is definitely a hall befitting the Spanish Golden Age) is superb, our family enjoyed eating most of our meals in the kitchen. Each floor has amazingly comfortable decks and balconies on which to enjoy morning coffees and afternoon/evening cocktails. And the pool is perfect for chilling out in the mid-day sun. Alicia and Jesus are wonderful help with anything needed. Eszter is an amazing super-hostess, responding to questions immediately and coming up with wonderful recommendations. Better than any stay we've had at 5-star hotels. The town of San Miguel is a wonderfully, "hidden" gem. Every block, corner, plaza with awesome discoveries, great restaurants, and warm, friendly people. The house is the perfectly located as a launching pad for exploration, and an oasis for rest afterwards. We would give Casa Hypatia 10/5 stars if we could. Can't wait to come back.

The owners Eszter and Mark are truly opening their home and sharing their artful vision of life in San Miguel with those fortunate enough to stay here. Our two-week vacation at Casa de Hypatia was literally centered around the town’s landmark, La Parroquia. From the villa’s atrium balcony, the upstairs sunset terrace, and the primary suite (as well as west and north bedroom suites), the magical church is constantly in view, day and night. Our stay coincided with Holy Week, and when we weren’t in the town streets at processions, we watched fireworks and listened to the church bells from the terrace overlooking town. The home is warm and gracious, with large rooms in a flowing indoor/outdoor layout that can easily host an extended family or group. While our family spent most of our time together, we had plenty of space to go our own way for private downtime. There are so many rooms (including a fitness room, home theater, and pool/foosball room), that it took us a few days to not get lost. All of the bedrooms are en suite with bathrooms finished in colorful artisan tiles from the area, and there are several conveniently located powder rooms in the public rooms as well as outdoors by the pool. Two of us had to work remotely for part of our stay, and the wifi connection was super-fast indoors and out, with excellent reception for Zoom calls. The home is under the thoughtful daily care of staff Alicia and Jesus who not only greeted us with a delicious breakfast and espresso each morning, but also assisted us with logistics (how many pesos would a taxi be, making an at-home, massage appointment by phone for us in Spanish, etc.). Alicia also kindly did our laundry – it would appear at the end of the day wrapped in embroidered linen in a basket on our bed. The home’s architecture, art collection, and gardens with fountains capture the regional character of San Miguel and added so much to our stay. Owners Eszter and Mark were promptly responsive to all of our questions and personably attentive to our needs, from the time we first inquired about the property and throughout our stay. Communications with Eszter were clear, helpful and gracious, and it was always apparent that they wanted us to feel at home in their home. They have thought of every amenity to make the home welcoming and comfortable. While we dined out every night, the kitchen is truly a cook’s kitchen. We only took a few taxis during our stay, as the house was about a 10-15 minute walk from the town center and San Miguel’s other interesting neighborhoods. We found a good bodega nearby for grocery basics, and we picked up fresh fruit and veggies from the Centro Mercado and the nearby organic grocery. A location perk we really appreciated was being right next to the large and relaxing Benito Juarez park, with its tropical, bird-filled gardens and winding trails (we even encountered a few weddings there). There is so much to experience in San Miguel, but on our last day, we decided we’d miss the house so much, we stayed home relaxing by the pool and taking in the panoramic views, dreaming of when we’d next be able to return. The owners have decorated the house beautifully. It is like a museum with hundreds of pieces to admire. The pictures online don’t quite capture how well the home shows.

We love staying at Casa Hypatia! We returned with one of our mothers, and she absolutely loved it. She loved how beautiful and comfortable the place was, and she loved hanging out on the terrace with her coffee and tablet every morning. We also had some quality time together playing games and watching movies in the top-notch theater room. Just like our last visit, the daily hospitality from Alicia and Jesus made our stay extraordinary. The house, the location, the staff, all reasons why we will be returning to stay at Casa Hypatia in the near future with our entire family for our wedding this March. This. Place. Is. Epic!!

Our family had a fabulous week at this beautiful property. The house is perfectly located, allowing us to walk to wherever we wanted. The home's terrace has a fabulous view, the amenities were fantastic (we used the pool, theater room and gym) and there is space for individuals to find solitude, if desired. The host was communicative and the staff was both pleasant and helpful. We look forward to visiting SMA and staying at this property in the future...highly recommend it!

This home is spectacular - even better than the photos! Eszter was a fabulous host - responsive, helpful and went above and beyond. Jesus and Alicia are fabulous staff who make themselves available but are never overcrowding. Staying in the house is a trip on its own. The detail, the beauty - you never want to leave! Eszter house is beautiful, many details make this house special. Rooms are spacious, amazing views. Sunrise & Sunsets. The staff is very professional and helpful, location is unbeatable. Our family had a lovely time at Eszter and Mark's villa. It is an incredibly spacious, clean and beautiful house with ample rooms full of character, lots of activities for everyone and helpful staff. There was something for everyone and every occasion, in the inner courtyard we enjoyed morning and afternoon coffees and snacks while our girls ran around the fountain or we played party games, the living room and dining room areas were equally good for that in the evenings when the air got a little colder. The (warm!) pool was great for the kids as well as adults, the weather was so-and-so the entire weekend so it was quite important that it was heated. From the upstairs terrace we had a perfect view of the Independence Day fireworks, also a great location for photographs with a view of the cathedral. Alicia and Jesus were very friendly and attentive, as we arrived Paula gave us a nice tour of the house and informed us of how everything works. For a traditional style house, Casa de Hypatia is very modern with filtered water everywhere in the house, very thoroughly stocked kitchen, functioning WiFi all over the house and rooms for various activities. We made use of the tv room with a giant screen, pool table and gym to keep ourselves entertained as the weather and COVID situation didn't really permit going out to such a great extent. As parents of young kids (2 and 4), it really can't be overstated that the little ones can be kept quite entertained, which is a relief to the parents on a vacation trip. One of our guests was also allowed to bring their pet dog, which definitely made their stay even more pleasant. We were very happy with our entire stay and will definitely return to Casa de Hypatia if we do another family trip in the area.

This home is beautiful, well-appointed, stocked with everything you could ever need. Jesus and Alicia have taken great care of us. The home is situated in the absolute best area of SMA, and is very convenient to shopping, parks, things to do and see. The owners have been a pleasure to work with. We will definitely return to SMA, and we would love to stay again at La Casa Hypatia.

My wife and I were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and wanted something very special. We searched Airbnb and found something that looked to good to be true. We found La Casa de Hypatia in San Miguel de Allende. We booked the Villa for 12 nights. We are a family of 11 people, 6 adults and 5 children. After we booked the Villa, our excitement began to grow. Once we began to communicate with the owners, Eszter & Mark, it became obvious, these folks were kind, generous, informative and most professional. The communication was easy and most helpful. Their staff of Alicia and Jesus are second to none when it comes to making you feel special, relaxed and comfortable, you'll wish you could take them home, they are great. Now a little about the Villa. I think we could write a book about the amazing archectecture, the professionally decorated home with every amenity you could imagine. This place is a true palace, a rental so special, you will never forget. While the pictures are beautiful, you will be dazzled when you walk through this beautiful home. I also need to mention the beautiful pool we used daily, the movie theater room, pool table, foosball, you name it and yes a well outfitted workout room. Everything is immaculate and I mean everything. Eszter has placed an information notebook on the coffee table that will well acquaint you with just about everything you need to know to enjoy the beauty, the people, the restaurants and things to do in and around San Miguel. The location of this Villa is within a short walking distance to almost everything you'll want to see. The Rosewood Hotel is a short 5 minute walk away. The Villa is located in a very exclusive community with 24 hour round the clock guarded gate. In closing, if you want to feel special, spoiled, relaxed and happy, rest assured, this is the place. Our recent stay at Casa Hypatia was beyond amazing! The house is absolutely stunning, luxurious and beautiful! If you combine it with the beauty of San Miguel de Allende, you cannot get a better travel experience! We had the pleasure of staying at Casa Hypatia recently. The house is absolutely magical, no words or pictures can give it justice. We stepped in and were immediately wowed with the luxurious accommodations. Every aspect and detail of the house was carefully designed and decorated to emphasize the beauty of Mexican and colonial culture. Many details, such as the winding iron stairs to the roof, paintings in the dining room, wooden entry doors, sculptures, or the wooden countertop in the kitchen, just masterpieces! The open courtyard with a fountain in the middle of the house and the swimming pool deck with its stone walls and fountain add additional level of comfort and luxury to the house. The view of the downtown from the second level terrace, especially at night, is breathtaking. We travelled as a party of 8, two families of 4 with teenage/young adult sons. Our sons enjoyed all the entertainment options in the house, including the movie theater, foosball, gym and pool table downstairs. The staff, Alicia and Jesus were very helpful, kind and responsive. Alicia prepared amazing Mexican style breakfasts that we truly enjoyed! Eszter took great care of us before and during our stay. Ahead of our trip she provided us with suggestions for transportation and various other arrangements and tips for our stay. She arranged for food shopping before our arrival and ensured we had everything we needed to have an enjoyable stay. Would love to go back tomorrow, if we could. 5 out of 5 stars experience overall!

Definitely we’ll be back! We loved to stay in this gorgeous residence. Pictures doesn’t do justice to the beauty of this place. We planned this family holiday and everybody felt so happy and comfortable there. Location is excellent, we could do most of the activities in the beautiful San Miguel walking distance. The service in the house, Jesus and Alicia were super helpful.

I'm just not sure how our stay with Eszter could have been more perfect. From the staff, to the location, to the amazing property, no detail was overlooked. Our stay was carefree and enjoyable. The property truly is worth staying at as a destination resort on it's own! Not to mention it being in a beautiful place in Mexico. I can wholeheartedly recommend a stay here and hope to be back myself very soon.

Casa Hypatia is a stunningly beautiful home in San Miguel de Allende. If you're looking for a perfect distance from the hustle bustle of the Jardin, but close enough that you can walk there and anywhere, the location is 100% perfect. It's right around the corner from The Rosewood, so easy to saunter over for lunch or drinks from the stunning rooftop restaurant. The art, artifacts, decoration, and spaciousness of the house is delightful. Lots of amenities, including beautiful kitchen, fully stocked bathrooms, fireplaces, and a wonderful, wonderful staff who is friendly, responsive, and takes impeccable care of the property. Eszter was highly responsive and flexible. It was my birthday weekend and I was so grateful to bring my closest friends. Eszter arranged for so many special touches, including a dozen pink roses, Poinsettias, food shopping prior to our arrival. I felt like I was visiting a friend's house!

It was definitely a great experience, we were all delighted and amazed by the House of Hypatia. Eszter and her husband were always in touch with me, answering questions and providing information. Paula's kindness and the hospitality of Alicia and Jesus. The facilities, the beautiful view of the center and the Church. The pool that was a delight for the little ones in the family. A great dream. Don't hesitate and visit this place.

This place is a veritable palace, with spectacular views of the city and the Parroquia. It’s a convenient walk to wherever you want to go. A perfect house to share among a group of friends. The cherry on the cake is the staff, which was unbelievably helpful and kind.

This is an AMAZING PROPERTY! A group of 9 women, celebrating my sister who will soon be married, fit wonderfully at this place. As we drove towards the house, the location looked even better than in the map, just behind the Rosewood Hotel. When we walked inside the house, we were immediately amazed by the details and the use of space in the house: a relaxing fountain, tasteful traditional Mexican decor, high ceilings, fountain-like pool, a terrace and really good sized bedrooms with their own bathrooms (there are two master bedrooms, one in the first floor and another upstairs, with enourmous bathrooms). Alicia and Alberto greeted us at the property, and took care of us the entire stay. Alicia prepared some amazing chilaquiles for breakfast on Saturday morning, perfect after going out partying one night before. Eszter, the owner, was very attentive; she gave us the best tips and helped coordinate some details of our stay. Walking around the town was very easy, so we got to the best places to eat and dine without having to take a taxi.

This is an incredible and secure property with an outstanding hostess. The house is only 15 minutes walking distance to the beautiful downtown of San Miguel de Allende. The hostess answered promptly in a courteous manner. The pictures are accurate and more. If you’re looking for a magical location and wonderful settings and accommodations for friends and family Eszter’s is the right place. The bedrooms and kitchen are well equipped and the living spaces comfortable for small or large gathering. All communications were helpful and easy. We’ll definitely go back !!!
