Casa de Arena is very spacious, comfortable and very well equipped. In fact, you only have to take care of bringing your food because it is far away and there is nowhere to buy anything. This place is ideal if you want to disconnect and live with nature. The sea is divine; in the mornings it literally looks like a swimming pool. You can hear the birds singing, and if you're lucky you can see fish on the shore and some larger ones on the horizon. The place is really very nice!

The house exceeded expectations - even more beautiful than the pictures. The beds were very comfortable. Everything was spotless. Linens were fantastic. We loved sitting outside on the comfy sofa or hammock overlooking the water, periodically cooling off in the crystal clear infinity pool. Kitchen was well supplied. Chef and massage suggestions were excellent. The beach was superb - not busy and the swimming was great. The beach was easy to access by a very short path (which is well lit at night). Patrick was a great communicator - extremely helfpul and responsive. Lots of space to spread out with a crowd and not feel on top of each other. The house is well designed and appointed. I would happily stay here again. Excellent value.

We had a magical week in the ocean front beach house! The house was beautiful, spacious with lots of privacy and lovely spaces to hang out. We spent many hours at the beach swimming and birdwatching and enjoying the sand. The outdoors were mostly free of mosquitos expect the early evening and early mornings, so we were able to eat outside and enjoy the pool as well. The recommendations for Pamela for cooking and Rolando for the tours I think is a must. We spoke to them in our bad spanish with help via google translate which was sometimes difficult but so worth it. Pamela's cooking is superb and the tours we took with Rolando (Boat/Kayak trip to Ojo de Agua & Flamingo tour) were exquisite, memorable and must-dos. The roads to and from Sisal is tricky and if you're renting a car it does feel a bit like off-roading. We got one flat tire while we were there (there is a guy in Sisal who fixes flats). Mario & Patrick were very responsive and pleasant to communicate with.

We wanted a family vacation that was quiet and relaxing, this was the place! Mario was super accommodating for a few things we had questions on. The views of the ocean from the house were awesome, every room has an ocean view. Large open family room/dinning/kitchen directly connected to a large deck-meets all relaxation needs. Loved waking up to the sound of the ocean. The beautiful beach is a one minute walk on a sandy path through beautiful tropical plants with colorful butterflies. The beach is vast, great for long walks, shell collecting, always a show from the pelicans diving for fish, a shallow entry to the warm clear waters. Sisal is a sleepy Mexican town that reminded of us of what Tulum was 25-30 years ago, very few tourists. The Palmar Beach Club was a great little spot to hang at for the day-yummy ceviche, margaritas etc. Pamela, the chef we hired most days was fantastic, highly recommend her. Mérida is an hour or so drive away. We hope to come back, lots of great memories.

Before checking into the house, Patrick gave very clear notes about the house and instructions to find it. We tried using google maps however they were not accurate, we followed Patricks ( very easy instructions ) and it led us right to the house. The house has a gorgeous layout and the photos do not to it justice. Every room was spotless and had more then enough space for me and my guests. We love to cook and the kitchen was very well equipped for all our needs. Patrick was an excellent communicator and got back to us very quickly if we had any questions or recommendations on things to do in town.

this place is amazing, Patrick always ready to help it is in a very quiet place, really few people on the surroundings, and very calm waters, you can easily swim in the ocean as expected being in the nature with few houses around there are many mosquitoes you can ask for a daily repellent treatment (additional cost) but it is worthy and dont turn on outside ligths during all night, otherwise you will attract mosquitos but the place its amazing, also you can request pamela (chef services) and she cooks really good looking forward to return

We all had a great time. The beach house was clean, seemed newly constructed, lots of open space to relax in and huge sliding glass doors to open up and take in the beautiful ocean breeze. The website pics were spot on (except it feels like more colorful art has been added). The infinity pool is beautiful and just steps away from the main house. Perfect for those afternoon dips. Also, we used the directions provided by the host to get there, as Google maps can be unreliable. The kitchen had all the tools, dishes and cookware we needed and the second fridge was a big plus, as we packed too much food. The beds were super comfortable and the bedroom balconies and ocean views wonderful. The beach awning with chairs was another plus, especially at dusk, watching the sun go down. We had a much needed relaxing time and look forward to coming back.

Our gang was seeking a beautiful fully equipped accommodations that was on a beach, had a pool, was easy to get to and was spacious. This wonderful home on the beach met that, and more, and we were pleasantly surprised to have a beach almost to ourselves and so close to the house. The kitchen had all the cooking essentials and it was large enough for a group of us to cook and socialize all in the same open space that also had a clear view to the water. Thank you Pat for all your assistance and we certainly will be back next year.

We really enjoyed our time at this airbnb. It´s beautifully designed and it´s amazing being just a few steps from the ocean. The infinity pool, kitchen and furniture, the views, and the hosts responsiveness and flexibility were all excellent. We also really enjoyed watching the stars at night from the deck. Completely out of the hosts control but the beach in front did have a lot of seaweed on it this time of year, especially the day after a storm (bad luck perhaps) and we did get a lot of mosquito bites especially at dawn and dusk so you definitely want to bring repellant. All that said, we´d come back again and do recommend this place for people who are ok with being in nature and with the remoteness.

---------------------- Really great place. Kitchen had everything we needed. There is a lot of space to gather together and also space to be alone. The terrace on the top floor is really peaceful. The house and grounds are clean and well maintained. Loved the pool! Very few people were on the beach which gave us a lot of privacy there too. We will definitely return to this house. The host was really responsive, and we had everything we needed.

Really happy with our return visit to Casa de Arena. Everything was perfect! Loved the palapa on the beach. We will be back!

Amazing stay at this house! It really is nicer than the pictures show. Used the owners directions (internet doesn’t have it quite right) and we found the house without any problems. Check in was great. Place was perfectly clean and like new. We did our big shopping in Merida and got some basic supplies in town. Our group loves to cook and kitchen was fully equipped. Having a second fridge was a huge bonus. Spent a lot of time at the beach which was pretty much secluded. Was great that they have a palapa/awning with chairs right on the beach. Pool was also amazing. The ocean views and variety of birds were great. Will definitely be back!

The house is beautiful, clean, tidy and in good condition. We had a pleasant stay, the sea is very very beautiful and clean. Arriving was at night and there was no electricity in the area, problem outside of the host's control, but there is also no Telcel signal so without electricity it also didn't allow us to have wifi, we were totally incommunicated. The host tried to help us and the light came back less than two hrs afterwards. I suggest considering for guests this risk of being incommunicated in such a case. Another suggestion is that the house has beach umbrellas and chairs, as the awning it has is far from the shore and when going with children you need to be closer and have shade. The kitchen and living area does not have air conditioning so during the daytime it can be very uncomfortable to be there in addition to the heat when cooking. If I recommend the house and we would visit it again, the attentions were very good, Pamela's service is super recommended for the cleaning service.

Casa de Arena is a magical place. The house is very comfortable, with very good spaces both inside and on the terrace and the beach. The 4 rooms are good. The Vista is spectacular from anywhere in the house. The beach is just a few steps away, the sea is very quiet and very clear. Rolando and Pamela excellent help. The Water Eye Tour. Pamela delicious cuisine. Right in the neighboring lot they are building a house. On weekdays the noise can be annoying.

The house, Casa de Arena, is great and matches the beautiful surroundings. It accommodated very well my kids and grand kids, my wife and I. Ten in total. The house is very well equipped in all areas, including TV, fans, A/C, kitchen utilities, etc. The walking trail to the beach is very nice, as well as the beach. The nearby town of Sisal is pleasant and people is usually kind. One can find most of the things that are required for day-to-day family requirements. Hour host in-location, señor Rolando, was kind and as effective as he could be with the means within his reach. I would have liked to know in advance that when electricity goes off, the house is out of running water for all purposes: W.C., shower, kitchen sink and so on. Electricity was lost all night because of a strong tropical rain. Overall, my family and I spent a happy vacation at this house in the vicinity of Sisal, Yucatán, Mexico

Casa de Arena is beautiful with breathtaking ocean views, instant access to a stunning beach & exceptional amenities that made our stay unforgettable. Our check in was easy & we had excellent communication from our host. The villa is spacious with areas for our group to gather or to break off for alone time. The hammocks in each bedroom suite and on the patio are especially welcoming. The kitchen is fully equipped and we loved our dinners at the spacious dining room table & on the patio that is beautifully furnished for lounging & dining. We spent time on the patio & in the pool through the day as well as star gazing at night with no signs of mosquitos. Casa de Arena was exceptionally clean and upon our arrival & towels/sheets were all like new. We took up some of our host’s recommendations including a massage therapist who came to the villa and a local cook who prepared an incredible Yucatan meal for us. Our beach vacation at Casa de Arena was flawless and we can't wait to go back!

The place was amazing. It was very quiet and private. The view was amazing and the place was well cared for and in great condition. We did not get many recommendations from the host, but we did find a hidden gem of a restaurant. You need to visit Zamá in Sisal! The food there was fresh and amazing. We ate three meals there and should have eaten a fourth there. Back to the house, we highly recommend this location. Even though the road to get there may be a little rough, take your time and be ready to lose your breath when you see the views! We will be back!

Our family really enjoyed this house for our vacation. There was plenty of space to gather together or spread out to relax. The recommendations the house manager provided for a cook and scheduling excursions were very responsive and accommodating. The house is extremely nice for the area (very modern) but bedrooms and hammocks were comfortable as well. Yes, the reviews about the potholes make the 2 miles around the house slow and hard to drive through, there are plenty of bugs and mosquitoes (to be expected with these sort of surroundings) but the house and beauty of the locations make it worth it. I’d advise anyone to bring bug spray and shower soap/gel with you but otherwise great amenities, towels, pool toys, etc. we had a rain storm one day and a bunch of water got in the house however it was a minor inconvenience. Would recommend this house for people looking for a relaxing time spent with close family or friends.

Let me begin by saying what a beautiful vacation we had at this house. It is stunningly gorgeous. It provided space for my partner and I and each our three friends (one solo, one pair) to enjoy the beach, the pool, the house in our individual ways with immense privacy, and as a family, around the beautiful dinner table, on the immensely comfortable patio, and beachside with hardly anyone else in sight. The sunrises, sunsets, plants, birds, and wildlife were amazing to watch. We had most everything we needed at our fingertips. The kitchen is well appointed, the grill was a nice addition, and we were able to cook our meals with ease. Mario was wonderful to communicate with before and during the visit and Rolando and staff were welcoming and there for us whenever we needed them. We enjoyed the surrounding town of Hunucma, made it into Sisal for supplies in about 10-15 minutes (yes, there are potholes, but you can do it!), and traveled easily to Uxma to visit Mayan Ruins. We will always remember this vacation with great joy and we would return here in a heartbeat. All of that said, I would caution travelers whose vacations would be disrupted or ruined by mosquitos and bugs. This should be seen as a beautiful cabin on the beach, and for nature lovers accustomed to the challenges of remoteness, it’s doable. But the ants and the mosquitos were a problem. We were able to keep the ants at bay with a can of natural Raid (bottom shelf at the grocery in Merida) but we had to be vigilant daily. Much more seriously though were the mosquitos. You need to bring deep woods off and a LOT of it. We followed all the guidelines, kept patio and house lights off and low at dusk/night, paid for the extra fumigation (I wouldn’t recommend this as it was not a preventive professional service—they came back within hours), wore long pants outside at night (they bit through), used regular bug spray and citronella candles, but they were unescapable at night during our early November visit. Most of my group escaped with 50 or so bites, but mine were in the hundreds, and if you’re the kind of person whose anxiety will have you googling mosquito born illnesses, be prepared before you go to limit your risk. It would be a lovely addition if there was a welcome package that contained two mosquito repellent sprays and one kitchen spray for guests during their visit. All in all, this place is incredible and you should definitely go if its speaking to you. BUT, go prepared and willing to accept the labor and risks of remoteness for its rejuvenation and joy.

This place absolutely beautiful! Just what my family and I needed. It was very equipped with all pool toys and necessities, the kids had a blast. It is secluded and very private. We had the whole beach to ourselves the entire time we were there. With that said, it is about 3 miles from the town. We got a motorcycle taxis phone number and would text her to pick us up if we needed to get to the town for groceries and anything else we needed. Over all It was a great stay!

My crew and I joked about wanting to leave a very negative review so that fewer people discover this magical place, but I couldn’t bring myself to. I have traveled all over the world and this was the most majestic, outstanding property that I have ever had the privilege to stay at. The images are not exaggerating anything, it is a very unique and luxurious place to stay. I am not going to bother writing an essay but here’s a few tips: 1) The closest ATM is 30 minutes away in a nearby town. Bring cash. 2) Pamela cooks well, she was very expensive by local standards though. For a party of 5 it cost us around $30 US dollars per meal. Meanwhile local restaurants were insanely well stocked and cheap at about $6-10 per meal. 3) You are going to pay for electricity, so make sure to turn off those air conditioners when you wake up. 4) If the wind dies down then you will want to rapidly close the windows because the mosquitoes are insane. That being said this only happened twice in 5 days. 5) Do the mangrove cenote tour. Just trust me. Do it. I want to come back here every year… it gave me peace in ways I rarely feel. I hope you enjoy it too.

Casa da Arena is a lovely house with a beautiful deck overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The house is very spacious and comfortable and well equipped. Beds are comfortable- in keeping with the whole house. The service and communication with the local team was excellent. We were able to check in a bit early and got quick and positive responses to any questions we had. The beach is beautiful and deserted as advertised, the road to the house from Sisal is a bit of an adventure as it’s unpaved and you have to play dodge the potholes for about 10 minutes to get to the house. It’s fine even in a small car, but we avoided doing the trip (especially at night) as a result. We took a kayak tour with Juan to visit the flamingoes and explore the mangroves. Thanks for the suggestion. Highly recommended! Overall a great stay and a lovely spot to relax ! Thanks for the hospitality !

Beautiful home- well maintained and full of light! - lovely path through the dunes to a gorgeous deep almost private beach. We were a party of 8 but the home never felt crowded- plenty of spaces to find privacy or to gather as a group. Kitchen was well equipped and spacious enough to cook together. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool with it’s wonderful view of the ocean. Mario was kind enough to allow us an early check- in. We will definitely return!

Our group truly enjoyed our time at Casa de Arena. The house itself is absolutely beautiful. The bedrooms are all well appointed and the fully equipped kitchen was wonderful. We enjoyed long walks on the beach without another person in sight and just sitting by the pool enjoying the beautiful sunsets each afternoon. Our cook Pamela was amazing .. she cooked fresh seafood (red snapper, pulpo, langostin) and made ceviche daily. The house is a little remote, so you need to be okay with no other people around (which I am good with that). We hope to visit again in the future!

I am honestly crying while writing this review. I miss that property so much. The location was a dream. It’s a trek worth making, for sure! I had the pleasure of experiencing this property with a group of my closest friends for my birthday. The host recommended a wonderful event coordinator (Cintia) who took care of every last detail. The property itself was perfect in every way. The view alone is priceless. We all were able to truly unwind and feel absolute peace at this home. The ocean water was turquoise and remote. It was like having a personal piece of heaven at our fingertips. We had an excellent cook named Pamela that made some of the best meals for us (Cintia helped arrange her services for the visit). Even though I’m home now, I am still dreaming of her delicious meals. We also had the opportunity to experience a very healing yoga session on the balcony with the pool and ocean as our backdrop. You will definitely want to spend the majority of your time outdoors. I melted into hammock and watched the birds and butterflies every morning with my cup of coffee. I’ve never felt such a strong desire to be awake to watch the sunrise, but I did at the Sisal property. We also had the pleasure of experiencing masseuse services on the balcony with the light sound of ocean waves in the background. It was pure magic! But just when I thought I’ve seen it all, the evening of my birthday was a spectacular event with an amazing chef and staff. The food was beautifully crafted and delicious. We drank Aperol Spritz’ until the sun-set while singing along with the very energetic band/singer. The Mariachi was another magical touch that we will never forget. This home and location will always have a special place in my heart. It gave us a fresh perspective and the recharge/reset we all needed to tackle our busy lives with confidence and intention. Thank you to the hosts, Cintia, Pamela and everyone that made this stay as memorial as it was. I highly recommend!

The house is very large and comfortable, clean and well cared for. It has great natural lighting and ventilation. The fact that they have two refrigerators is a plus as you can have food reservations for your stay without having to leave. Susy's service is impeccable, she immediately answered all our questions and there was excellent communication. We had some WiFi issues but they helped us solve it, as well as with the electric light, which were notified and the best attention and intention to correct. We suggest having a light plant to avoid conflicts in the future for this and definitely bring repellent, there are many flies. Our stay was very pleasant and comfortable, although Sisal is not so close to some services such as supermarkets so it is recommended to rent a car and take the necessary supplies so you don't have to leave. Pamela the cook and Julia cleaning , very friendly people who helped us with everything and made our stay very comfortable. We were very happy.

Casa de Arena is one of the best places I've stayed, awakening to the sound of birds and the sea, all rooms have large windows that allow you to see the sea! They also all have a hammock, fan and air conditioning which by the way, we never need it because the house is designed to have very good ventilation. Access to the house requires climbing stairs, it is important to take this into account. The house was very clean including the pool. The location of the house is 4 km from Sisal so renting a car when arriving in Merida is almost essential (to take into account in the budget of the trip), in our case the landlord fails us (there were no cars available) but we had support from Rolando who offered to take our shopping when we had run out. It has everything you need to cook including a microwave, electric oven, gas oven, stove, and barbecue; it has all the necessary dishes (although all plastic), an indoor and an outdoor dining room. The infinity pool is a good size, with a direct view of the beach. For the beach you have 5 chairs and a umbrella in addition to rugs and cooler. The sea is very calm and shallow, safe for children and seniors, a major advantage is that there was practically no seaweed. The house is very close to the sisal swamp where we were able to paddle kayaks until we reached the Flamenco nesting area, we also went to a spring crossing the mangroves in Kayak, both experiences were very worth it. Sisal is a still very virgin and natural place that is well worth visiting and taking care of.

We loved the house! It is a little far from Sisal, but that makes it very private and charming (in addition to the fact that inside the village there is none of the quality of this house). Everything is new and spacious, the sea in front of the house is spectacular, it has beach chairs and a cooler (just need a couple of umbrellas or a small palapa). We hire cleaning and preparing breakfasts for every day and the people who looked after us are wonderful. In short, the combination of the house and Sisal results in a spectacular vacation that the whole family enjoyed. DON 'T HESITATE TO RENT OUT THIS HOUSE. Tip: Hire bocana walks, snorkeling, bird watching, etc. And eat at the palapas and/or local restaurants, everything is delicious.

This dream of a beach house is the ultimate getaway with its breathtaking panoramic views, all in a private setting. By far the best beach stay we have ever experienced. We woke up to a spectacular view of stunning turquoise waters and the sound of the ocean. The view is even better than the pictures. Every bedroom has its own terrace overlooking the ocean. We enjoyed coffee every morning on super comfortable sofas on the very large main terrace overlooking the sea.  Another nice feature is the terrace was partially covered, so everyone had a choice of sun or shade throughout the day. There is a short winding path to the beach which was also lighted for our evening strolls. The king-size beds were 5-star comfort and the kitchen well equipped. Great appliances, A/C and ceiling fans. Also, we had the perfect hosts with excellent communication. Already planning our next trip back!

I stayed with my family and a friend and his two small children. The place was spacious and the rooms smartly designed and organized. The common space felt inviting and the pool and view was breathtaking. The place was just nicer than the photos can say. The manager of the place is Ricardo and he explained everything clearly and was very quick to respond and help out. I highly recommend this place for a getaway. Be ware that the mosquitos are insane so be prepared for the jungle.

We spent 8 nights as a family at Casa Arena. Everything was simply wonderful, communication with Ricardo was always on time, and he answered at all times. Ricardo was attentive to us Throughout our stay. Casa Arena is a paradise, we had the Beach just for us 30 steps from the house we never saw anyone pass by. At Casa Arena you will be surrounded by nature, a sea that looks like a pool, birds in short, everything you need to rest, with beautiful views and sunsets. Naty, the girl in the kitchen, cooked us all. We spent 8 nights with family at Casa Arena. Everything was simply wonderful, communication with Ricardo was always on time, and he answered at all times. Ricardo was attentive to us During all our stay, there are delicious things during our stay, I recommend that the They hire. The house is in very good condition, the same That the photos, everything is new. the only thing that's hard to control is the number of flies, especially at night.

Beautiful, very spacious house with the ocean a few steps away. I went with my friends to stay for a weekend and we wanted to stay the whole week. The house is much better than what you see in the photos; it's very clean, well furnished, the kitchen has all the necessary appliances and utensils for cooking. The pool is a good size, the terrace the best to have a good time in the evening together. The beds were all very big and comfortable, with clean, white sheets. I also noticed they all had mattress and pillow protectors, which made me feel more comfortable. My friends and I liked it so much that we plan to return every year! Thank you very much to Ricardo for being on the lookout and for making the arrival easier for us. In short, a very good beach vacation home, highly recommended!

This vacation home is a Paradise found. The amenities are perfect for either a couple or a family or friends. The vacation home is private, and a very short distance from the beach. We enjoyed lovely long walks every morning along the beach front and also enjoyed the walking paths just south of the house. My husband and I enjoyed the excursions that Ricardo helped us to organize. The local ecosystems are very interesting to see, and local people very friendly, and local culture colourful. We enjoyed the pool at the house. It was wonderful having that amenity available! When not enjoying the pool, we were enjoying the views from each level of the house. The views are breathtaking, day and night! Ricardo helped us to organize someone to cook some of our meals. I would recommend this service to future renters. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to visit this vacation home again later this year. We wished we could stay forever!!!!!!!

This stunning beach home is one-of-a-kind, sparkling clean, incredibly stylish and well-designed, and an absolute gem with respect to comfort, its oceanfront location, and overall gorgeousness. We loved every minute of our stay and had everything we needed for our beach holiday including an incredible amount of space and large oceanview bedrooms with a large en-suite in each. It’s like living on a private beach with white sand, incredibly clean conditions and sparkling bright blue water. The beach is right there, a ten second walk down the path from the house and ideal to have the option of a pool as well for cooling off. The location is perfect, in a beautiful conservation area and also including a nearby flamingo reserve and cenotes. We absolutely loved our time at this beautiful home and highly recommend it — we had a perfect stay.

Incredibly spacious house for our group of 8. We really loved how each bedroom had its own bathroom - HUGE plus! The pictures don’t really show it but the house is right on the beach; I think I counted 60 steps to the beach. The top floor patio was great for star-gazing at night and quiet time. Loved the main terrace: we had sun, shade, big dining table and all able to lounge and still be together. Definitely coming back to this house! Thank you for being an amazing host, Ricardo!

This villa is TOP NOTCH 😍 I was immediately drawn to this house and am so happy to have stayed at Casa de Arena. We were able to comfortably sleep and store all of our personal belongings. Our stay started with a nice message from host Ricardo, who made himself available if needed. We entered the house and “WOW” was the first thing that came to mind. When you walk up the stairs to the main floor you are presented with the most amazing views the blue skies, water, animals and vegetation (within minutes I saw a flock of green parrots and a hummingbird)! The pictures are spot-on, but what you don’t see is how well-stocked the kitchen is. It honestly has more stuff than my kitchen at home. The kitchen island is also way bigger in person and we very often used it. Dining chairs are as comfortable as they are pretty. The bedrooms are enormous, each room has different PROS and NO CONS. I could lay in the hammock and stare at the water all day. The beach was truly steps away and I only saw one other person on the beach my whole trip. If you are a beachcomber, you will be in heaven; two words: seashells galore! Ricardo helped arrange for us to meet Juan Carlos (search EnSisal Tours on Facebook) who took us on the most incredible touring experience. A boat picked us up from our house and took us through mangroves where we got to kayak beside flamingoes and other rare birds. We then kayaked through crystal clear water to a cenote. All-in-all, this is a 5star vacation rental of the highest quality. Thank you for an amazing experience! I will stay here again and again.

A spectacular beach house in a fantastic location! While the pictures are accurate they can’t do justice to this beautiful beach house. It’s a beautiful, contemporary style with traditional Mexican art throughout the house. You’ll feel at home immediately upon arriving and be reluctant to leave. Very clean and comfortable - I will definitely be back and bring friends to enjoy this jewel on an amazing beach. Thanks to property manager Ricardo for his quick responses and answering all questions. Most definitely a 5 out of 5.
