6BR Villa in Valle de Guadalupe

Dulce

Good, 2 weeks ago

The stay was good. The only thing missing is for the air conditioning to work better at a certain time of day, since the sun beats down and the heat is stifling. Hector was attentive to any situation and very kind.

Host Response

This was one of the hottest weekends of the summer. The necessary recommendations were made, but they changed the air conditioner settings and messed up the temperature.

We had an amazing stay at this Airbnb in Valle de Guadalupe! The property was beautiful, clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The location was perfect for exploring the wineries and enjoying everything Valle has to offer. Hector was friendly, responsive, and made the entire experience seamless from check-in to check-out. We truly felt welcomed and relaxed throughout our stay. I highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone visiting Valle de Guadalupe. Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway, a weekend with friends, or a wine-tasting trip, this is the perfect place to stay. We would definitely come back!

Beautiful home & property! We absolutely loved our stay here & we were very central to Valle De Guadalupe with many wineries near by. We were very happy with our stay here and would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to friends & family. Héctor was extremely responsive & helpful with anything we needed. The property is so peaceful with many different areas to hangout in. We loved the patio area & used the grill which was so nice to have as an amenity. We did book out the entire property which is a great place for larger groups. Overall we loved our experience here! Location can’t be beat.

We came to Alo retreat for my birthday and new years with a big group of 11 ( including 2 kids) and had plenty of space for everyone . It rained the whole time , and we still had a lovely time with the indoor kitchen / lounge area and the beautiful rooms. We were able to walk to local coffee as well at a hotel down the road. We had a lovely private chef dinner arranged by hector , which I highly recommend. Amazing food and a scenic outdoor location right around the corner. We also elected for the guided nature hike , which I also highly recommend ! Gorgeous views and we learned a lot about the rocks and the flora on the area. Overall it was a lovely experience and we will be back !

We had an amazing stay at Hector’s Airbnb! From start to finish, he was incredibly communicative and quick to respond. He went above and beyond by helping us set up in-home massages and a private chef for breakfast—both were absolutely excellent. He also coordinated all of our transportation for four days, which made our trip so smooth and stress-free. Anytime we had a small issue with the home, Hector was on it immediately. The only minor hiccup was the cold water in two of the suites, but he was extremely apologetic and responsive, and worked quickly to address it. Overall, Hector’s hospitality truly elevated our stay. We would absolutely come back! Highly recommend!

We had a group of 15 stay here at Hector’s property and I believe it was the perfect fit for our party. The unique design of the private villas allowed for privacy within the group, but still provided an inviting space in the common areas for our entire family to make memories together at the pool patio, outdoor kitchen, and rooftops. I loved how the villas were decorated and the amenities were amazing. I loved opting for this type of property as it was well located in Valle de Guadalupe and we were able to visit some great restaurants and wineries close by. This host went above and beyond and was very responsive. I would love to revisit his property as his hospitality and his property was 5 out of 5 stars! ⭐️

We rented 6 cabins and honestly, the experience was beyond amazing. The property is spacious, peaceful, and beautifully set up for enjoying quality time with friends or family. The cabins are cozy, well-kept, and designed with comfort in mind it truly felt like a home away from home. We had a great time relaxing by the pool, grilling, and just enjoying the calm, open atmosphere that surrounds the entire place. Héctor, our host, was exceptional. Always attentive, kind, and ready to help with anything we needed he truly made sure our stay was smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. We genuinely loved everything about our stay. If you're looking for a peaceful escape where you can disconnect, recharge, and spend meaningful time with the people you care about, this is absolutely the place to go. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

This Airbnb offers immense potential and I made great memories. The spacious layout, amazing views, and curated experiences (massages, wine tour, driver) were fantastic. It truly has the right ingredients for an excellent stay if prepped properly. However, significant issues impacted my experience. The outdoor kitchen was not cleaned for arrival (dust, cobwebs, dirty utensils), the pool net was broken, and umbrellas need repair. Bedroom locks need reinforcement. Host communication needs improvement; a consolidated service guide would be beneficial. Resolving issues was stressful, though concerns were eventually addressed. I hope these critical areas are improved to match the property's potential.

Host Response

This person and his group had a great time at the accommodation and with the experiences, the review is based on "revenge" since I did not allow them to smoke marijuana inside the rooms (it is forbidden to smoke anything inside the rooms). They think that by coming to Mexico they will be allowed to do whatever they want and wherever they want and that's not the case. They were upset about being asked to respect the property rules and this was their way of responding to that.

Thank you for a wonderful stay! We were a group of 15 celebrating my 30th birthday and this spot was absolutely perfect for the festivities! We all fit comfortably between the 6 houses and really enjoyed this gorgeous space. Héctor was fast with communicating and responded quickly when we had any questions. Close by there is a coffee shop, restaurants, and wineries in walking distance. We also requested the shuttle service to get around the Valle and our driver was great! We will definitely be back and highly recommend this spot.

Hector went above and beyond. Our group of cyclists were so happy with their stay, food and Hector. We will 100% be going back there and recommending it to all of our friends.

We really loved our stay. The pool was perfect for a warmer afternoon, the fire pit was perfect for the cooler evenings. We loved that we could walk to coffee or breakfast in the mornings and Hector organized a private dinner for our group at the intimate restaurant next door (it was rustic and beautiful, and delicious too). The houses felt secure and staff was attentive to make sure we had whatever we needed. Beds were cozy enough and we didn’t have any issues with hot water like other reviewers did.

This was the perfect place for our group of six on a business retreat. We had the entire compound to ourselves which made it very private. The views from each of the units was beautiful. We enjoyed the wood fire pit every night. The weather was a bit rainy and Hector made the common great room / business office available for us to use as a meeting place. This is definitely a place that you don't prepare your own food. The outdoor kitchen is minimal. But the outdoor space is nice to dine al fresco. We either went out for meals or brought meals in. Each room has its own mini fridge and hot water pot for tea and instant coffee. The beds and blankets were comfortable and cozy. Wine glasses, opener and wool blankets were provided. The water pressure is quite low and the water wasn't hot for long, but that is part of the adventure. The road getting to the place is unpaved and rustic, but again, part of the Valle adventure!. Wifi was excellent. We had a great time!

This place is really beautiful and has stunning views! The rooms are sophisticated and clean and all are equipped with AC/heater and have their own bathroom. The shared area is really nice and has a fire pit and plenty of seating for a group. There is a charcoal grill and a sink. There are a few things to be aware of: 3 of the 5 rooms we booked did not have hot water throughout our stay. The bathrooms were freezing. The heater does work, but you need to put it on swing mode to heat up the room. We talked to Hector about the problems and he was really responsive and was generally able to help with everything, but unable to fix the hot water. We also opted in for massages and they were ok, but not worth the price. A convenience fee is fine, but this wasn't the quality you'd expect for the price. This is an outside service and Hector did a great job of coordinating it.

Property was great! Villas have nice space between them for privacy and the rooftop decks were awesome! The outdoor campestre kitchen was awesome and I think the photos of it could use some updating because it was much better than we were expecting. Hector was SO SO quick with responses and accommodating any requests. We ended up doing the bbq from next door (on their premises and it was honestly the highlight of our trip over fauna, Finca, Ojá, etc). The food was phenomenal - it’s at La Doble T/Kruger winery and the host/chef is an exceptional person with great food and wine. We arranged this through Héctor and we’re able to customize the menu. We also arranged private transportation through Héctor as well for a whole day and it was convenient, on time (early), and accommodating to any requests we had for stops along the way. They even allowed our pets to come onto the bus. The area was great, walking distance to the BBQ place and Magelen for coffee and several other breakfast locations and great restaurants in the neighborhood. Hector also had a great welcome book with info on surrounding area and amenities. Fridges we’re each stocked with three bottles of the Kruger wine all of which were great but cost $30/bottle.

Amazing place to stay in Valle! We were a group of 14 and this place was beautiful, modern, and very clean. Hector was so great and helped us organize breakfast one of the days. The place is close to the restaurants and bars. We had no problem with the hot water (as other reviewers commented). Also, nice a/c in rooms & easy check-in. The only thing was the picture of the living room area is NOT included. Which was a bit of a bummer because we wanted a place for all of us to hang out. Not sure why the picture is included on the site, if that room is considered their office and is not for use.

Great space to stay if you’ve got a group of friends. Each cabin was clean, and had everything we needed. Only thing is, this is definitely a summer place, we went during the winter and the heater and hot water were limited. The heat wasn’t too bad, there was blankets to layer up on. The hot water in the shower was like warm for us (cabin #6) but our friends in cabin 5, 4, and 3 all had cold water in the shower. Cabin 1 had the hottest water out of all of us. Other thing to note, cabin 2 is rented to other guest, so the entire compound isn’t limited to just your own group. Overall it was a great stay! We were out in the wineries all day, nice and clean place to comeback to and enjoy.

This place is magical - an amazing compound, perfect for a big group getaway to Baja's wine country. We had a fairly large group of people (about 14), and were provided excellent service both prior to our trip, during and afterwards. I would recommend letting Hector know exactly what you are planning on doing during your stay.. whether that is visiting some of the different wineries, exploring Ensenada, or whatever else your heart calls for. It was my 30th birthday celebration, and we had planned to explore a few wineries. Hector was super helpful in booking the reservations for us and providing the transportation to and from each winery. I would do some research, as there are many wineries in the area and if you are planning on visiting some of the more popular destinations, you will want to plan ahead by making reservations early. The food that was prepared for us (bbq at place next door via Hector) was fabulous and exactly what we needed after a long day of drinking in the hot sun. I highly recommend this option, as it allows for flexibility in daytime activities and a more relaxed nighttime environment. This way, you and your friends can take in the expansive views atop the little casitas and or chill by the fire pit. All in all, we had the most excellent time at this place, and I hope you do too!

Host Response

Thank you for your extensive and descriptive review, it was a pleasure hosting you and your group, I hope you and your friends had a wonderful time and come back soon!

ALO was the perfect place to spend a long weekend with friends. To begin with, Hector was an amazing host. He was quick to respond to every question we had and helped arrange for wine to be on hand when we arrived. He even arranged for a wine tour and roundtrip transportation to dinner each night. Each casita was perfectly appointed with comfortable beds, air conditioning and a private bathroom. Our group of 9 enjoyed gathering around the fire pit at night, drinking wine and taking in the views. We will definitely be back!
