5BR Villa in Granada

Monte

Excellent, 4 weeks ago

What an amazing place just 3 blocks from parque central and all the great restaurants. Walking in, you feel transported to a colonial time period and the space gives you many places to unplug and rest and relax. The pool also made this place a ton of fun for the family. We had a blast and will def be back. Thx so much for fast turnaround and great communication.

This was my fourth time staying at this property. So, that speaks for itself. This is in a really good location and it’s a very well remodeled space with a pool. In the middle of the living space. It’s very spacious and safe. It’s easy to get to and it’s in an ideal location.

Overall, we had a very pleasant stay at Casa Castilla. The home is clean, spacious, and has a classic colonial-style charm. The pool was great, and the location is one of the biggest highlights — only 3 blocks from the central plaza, walking distance to La Calzada, and a short drive to the malecón. The area felt safe, and street parking was easy and convenient. * Great central location * Clean and well-maintained house * Nice pool area * Safe neighborhood * Easy access to restaurants and attractions A couple things to note: * Electricity for the AC is charged separately based on meter readings before check-in and after check-out, so expect to spend over $20 depending on usage * Kitchen inventory is somewhat limited, so bringing disposable cups, plates, and utensils can be helpful Overall, a nice stay for anyone wanting to be centrally located in Granada. We enjoyed our time there.

Unfortunately, we had a very negative experience at this Airbnb and would strongly recommend avoiding it. The Airbnb provided drinking water. On our final night, after running low, we requested water for our final night. A staff member brought a new massive jug to our room and immediately began demanding payment for it. We explained that we were checking out the next day and would never come close to using the at amount but he became very aggressive. During this interaction, he closed the door behind him, and because the apartment was already very dark with little natural light, his aggressive behavior made us feel extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. He eventually left, only to return again and continue demanding payment. We told the host, who did nothing to rectify the situation, never once apologized, or helped. Extremely unprofessional.

Host Response

Hello Jordan, we reviewed the security camera footage and found no evidence of any aggression on the part of the water staff. The cleaning lady was present, and when we asked her about any misconduct, she confirmed that no one acted aggressively at any time. From the beginning, they were given all the assistance they requested, including a discount on their stay, and no additional charges were applied for the water and coffee they requested after the supply ran out during their stay. We have proof that the staff never behaved aggressively. I wouldn't recommend having a guest like you who looks for discounts and free services only to then spread lies about the staff who work hard to earn their living.

It's a really nice house. It's just as seen in the photos. That's what you find inside. It's a really private house for relaxing and spending time with the family. The hosts are quite communicative. We had no communication problems. They were going to give us a free cleaning one day before we left, but we had an emergency and had to leave the accommodation earlier than planned. We appreciate the gesture. Really friendly people.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home just outside Granada's main area. The property felt incredibly private and peaceful. It hardly felt like being in the city at all. The pool was stunning, and the outdoor garden space made it feel like our own private resort. Our small dog loved roaming freely, and the fully enclosed brick wall gave us great peace of mind. Frank was welcoming and helpful. A couple things future guests should know: the living area is completely open to the outdoors, which looks beautiful but can get quite hot during the day, especially while cooking. Also, the checkout/key return process could be smoother. We had mentioned leaving around 10 a.m., but we were ready earlier and had to wait to hand over the keys. A lockbox system would make departures more convenient. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely recommend it for a quiet, private getaway.

This was our 2nd time staying at casa Ohm. If you're looking for a 5-star accommodation this place isn't for you. The house is close to everything, comfy beds, very clean, the pool is a bonus. All in all, our family of 5 enjoyed our stay at this house. Ana is a great host, great communication. A minor issue arose and they took care of it right away. Be ready to encounter critters in the kitchen, but this is Nica, anything can happen. Thank you for having us.

This Airbnb was absolutely beautiful, with gorgeous Moroccan elements that made the whole stay feel special. The pool was a highlight, especially during the hot weather, and the gated, private setting made everything feel peaceful and secure. The kitchen had everything we needed, the rooms were spacious, and the mini splits kept each room cool and comfortable. For the price, this is easily one of the best stays you could have in Nicaragua.

Everything was perfect, I just think they should make the garage available for parking, since the house has a garage but they don't allow guests to use it. And the garage near the house closes between 9 and 10 pm and reopens at 6 am. At least in my case, I was coming from the airport and my plane landed at 8 pm, and after driving to Granada, I couldn't find the garage open. So I couldn't find anywhere to park my car. I think it would be easier and more convenient for tenants to park their cars in the garage and not have to pay extra for parking elsewhere.

The place was more than excellent, a really nice location, and a superbly equipped house. It was definitely worth the cost. There is a young man who looks after the house and is always available and very helpful; he was very kind! The house was spotless, as was the pool, and Ana was very friendly the whole time and available via cell phone! Just as a constructive suggestion, although the girl who hands over the house isn't directly “obnoxious,” her attitude could be improved—perhaps by being a little more friendly when handing over and taking back the house 🥰. Otherwise, everything was perfect!

This home was even better in person. The pictures do no justice. It was perfect for our family of five and felt like we were nestled in our very own paradise. We arrived late at night and it was a bit difficult to find. The grounds were beautiful and well kept. We felt secure and safe and Christian was courteous and professional. The surrounding area is a bit run down, but the locals were welcoming and pleasant. It is within walking distance to all the restaurants, cathedral and the Central Park. Maria our housekeeper was accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. Having a bathroom on every room was ideal. Having a pool accessible and all to ourselves was perfect when traveling with children. I can’t wait to return to Nicaragua and stay in this beautiful home once again. Thank you for allowing us to create beautiful memories here.

We loved our stay here! We had read some reviews about animals poking around, but we had nothing of the sort - just a huge space for our family all to ourselves. The pool was awesome, the AC in the bedrooms was great, a bathroom in each, opportunity to do some washing and hang it up (dried in no time). We felt like we were kings with all of the space. Communication was easy and fast. The location was a short 3 block walk to the main square (felt a bit harder in the heat, but we had kids!). We only wish we had stayed longer!

I can’t leave a fulsome review since we checked out as soon as we checked in. The host and cohost were very accommodating and helpful when we found the property not as described and felt we needed to stay elsewhere. For context, I have travelled to Central America many times, and stayed in Granada for 5 days. I understand tropical bugs and I expect them in open air living. -many swarms of bugs in the rental including mosquitos -dirty counters, pool, bathroom - dirty laundry in washer - stove didn’t work (after cohost attempts to fix) - wifi didn’t work (after cohost attempts to fix) - bag of what looked to be garbage in the courtyard - general disrepair such as broken cabinets, mouldy chipped table, missing door handle on bathroom The house had great potential. With some maintenance and repairs it could again become the house shown in the listing photos.

Perfect Locación, Beachview amazing and nice home, communication was great.

We had a great couple of days at the property. The host was very accommodating as we arrived an hour and a half early to the property and were allowed to go in. This is a stunning accommodation and true to the photos. Downstairs is very open plan and has a very grandeur feel. All the bedrooms upstairs are lovely large rooms and everything worked as it should. The property is within walking distance of the main square. Thank you for having us 😃

Our stay at Casa Fabi was very mixed - interesting and frustrating. Many of the happenings were out of their control, but no communication was a key point of frustration. Out of their control was three separate instances of no water in the area. Also, internet cable being damaged outside of the hose - twice, resulting in 4 days of no internet of wifi. Lastly, two electricity outages. Instances within their control: Cleaning services. We received less than half of the scheduled house cleaning and pool cleanings. They did not show up. we spent those mornings waiting. They do not pay their bills on time. The Water Company literally cut the water pipe going into the building. There was also men at the door looking for other payments.

We stayed here with our two kids (aged 4 & 6). The pool is a huge highlight - it's a big size and so much fun for the kids. The location is perfect walking distance to the Plaza Mayor, central Grenada and lots of restaurants. You have to be comfortable living in nature to stay here. The living room and kitchen are completely open to the outside, and there are bats that fly around the courtyard at night. There is a cat that sleeps in the living room overnight. There are a lot of mosquitos at night in the open-air areas (the bedrooms are fully enclosed rooms). There is a loud zumba class next door from 6-8pm every night (and we chose to join in and it was fun!). We had a great visit but wanted to flag the animal issues as it's not the right fit for everyone!

A dream villa to enjoy Granada in comfort and privacy. The accommodation includes 3 bedrooms with attached bathrooms. Photos are representative of the listing. In terms of security, we were pleasantly surprised to learn, upon arrival, that the accommodation is equipped with a locked gate at the entrance and that a guard is on duty all night to monitor. The only two downsides for us: (1) bring earplugs, because there is a rooster in the alley near the accommodation that crows all night and early in the morning, (2) the pool is never completely sunny due to its location and the period of partial sunshine in the inner courtyard lasts only a few hours. That said, we wouldn't hesitate to rebook this Airbnb. The host and co-hosts are very responsive and professional. Thank you Carlos and Ana.

Its a very colonial and beautiful home thats located in very a convenient spot in Granada near very tourist sights! Each room had AC which helped beat the heat and the beds were super comfortable! There is enough space for everybody and we were able to divide 9 of us into each of the rooms very well! The pool wasn’t so big but it was super clean and still great to refresh yourself after a long day in Granada’s sweltering heat. Overall had a great stay here and would definitely come back whenever I visit Nicaragua again!

Carlos and Ana made us felt like we were in our own home, they were very helpful, and had an amazing communication. We definitely will love to stay in another house that is on his portfolio. The house was very clean and the area was safe. The check in and check out process was great.

What an Oasis. We were stoked! The location is near enough to walk to the city centre and yet very quiet. The house and the complex where you park the car is very safe. The house itself is stunning. A clean pool, the airy and shady area to rest…and you never get tired of the views of the building. Planned through and through with a lot of good taste, from the plates to the bedroom blanket. We will be back for sure! Thank you for such a gem 🥰

This place had great outside sitting places, wonderful quality furniture and the best equipped kitchen I’ve ever seen in an Airbnb. Highly recommend this place

Spent two weeks here and after reading previous reviews I will report accordingly. Think of this place as "bohemian". If you are looking for luxury, not for you. Open air style home allows for creature and insect presence. pos: incredible pool. large, sprawling property. great support from staff. warm water strong a/c. neg: some internet problems. close to a sketchy neighborhood, foot traffic to and from. a lot of unrepaired wear n tear. a bit dirty. In conclusion. It's very open and ranch style. bats, insects, even a cat (I fed it!). In dire need of paint. An open compound is hard to keep clean, it shows. HOWEVER, for the price this is a lot of house and I was truly happy here. Worth the price for two cool bedrooms and a full- sized private pool. Large kithen for food prep. hint: for warm water, turn the dial on top of the shower head to the left! Oh, and jump in that pool!
