Thanks for your great feedback. Yes, I didn’t think about you taking the back roads to Malpias. It’s you early in the season for that, the rainy season just ended. In a week or two they will scrape out road and then it becomes much smoother and easier. It’s the balance of do we as neighbors pace the road but then lose all of our privacy because then that hill will become a main road from delicios to the beach.

Bryn, We usually value our guests feedback. Although there are many exaggerations in your review. The so called “boxsprings” is a new twin mattress! As listed in our posting. Your family is maybe the fourth guest to be there after we bought it. I texted you the first morning after you had stayed the night to check in with you and see how things were going and you responded with this. “First night was good” Yes, the road is a typical dirt road in Costa Rica and that is why we have in our listing and confirm with everyone that they should rent a 4x4 Yes, our neighbor has a rooster but to be honest I don’t think over ever stayed anywhere in Costa Rica over 25 years that we have not heard roosters at some point. You should bring earplugs when you travel to tropical places, must have roosters. Or go to Hawaii to an all inclusive. Sorry but we will never put curtains in our outdoor seating area and block the beautiful ocean view. There are brand new blackout shades in both bedrooms that face the same direction. Next time you should stay at the Four Seasons, It doesn’t seem like “real Costa Rica” is for you.

Hello Kim, I did receive your feedback on your check in. I am sorry you got so lost. We have given the same directions to every single guest and not one other person had trouble finding it. The directions give you two options, coming from Montezuma and coming from Delicious. I will update our directions to show that some of the road from Montezuma is now paved. If you look at our manual I sent it also have a picture of the street sign where you turn coming from Montezuma. I gave both a link to Waze and written directions incase the person doesn’t have a phone with service. I am glad you were able to love the house once you found it.
