We had a fantastic family vacation at Villa Surya. It is a beautiful private setting with sweeping views of the ocean. The home itself had stunning architecture and attention to detail in furnishings, artwork and design. Clearly the owners have taste and knowledge. Definitely rent Polaris ATV vehicles to get around and into town. The road is very steep and winding. Pepe, the manager, could not have been more responsive. We had a massive rainstorm with driving winds while here that pushed some water through the closed doors and windows and he quickly had someone over to clean up and restore everything. The infinity pool right next to the house was delightful. And Sayulita itself is a wonderful, authentic beach town. Great restaurants, warm people, beautiful beaches.

Pau and Pepe were great hosts. They set us up with groceries prior to our arrival, transportation to and from the airport, the marina, dinner in Punta Mita. They also arranged side by sides for our group of 10 to use to drive around Sayulita. They also set up someone to come each morning to help straighten up. They were very responsive any time we had a question. The hills to get up to the property were no joke but the views were incredible. The town is a short drive down steep hills but would be a long and difficult walk. Gas powered side by sides are a must and golf carts would probably struggle with the hills. We rented 3 four seaters for our time, which were great but the back seats were rear facing and didn’t have seatbelts so we couldn’t take them out of town. I would suggest four seater all front facing if you can find them. The only downside is that the common living areas and bathrooms have no AC and the two upper master bedrooms don’t have black out shades, so it was HOT!

Pau and team were amazing and the house was stunning. They were so helpful and kind throughout the whole process and made getting to and from the villa extremely carefree. Once there, we had stocked kitchens ready to go. They had wonderful partnerships with shuttles and Polaris rentals. Our group loved the location and were extremely happy with every aspect of the stay. Thanks to the team again!

Great place to stay with friends! So nice that each room has its own private bathroom, and balcony. The views are stunning! Pau and Pepe were very responsive and accommodating! Very cool people and very cool house!

Wow, hard to put into words how amazing this Airbnb was. Probably one of the best Airbnb experiences I’ve had. We had an incredible stay at this Airbnb! The house is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views overlooking the city and ocean. It was the perfect spot for our group celebrating a bachelor party—spacious, luxurious, and designed for comfort. Every room was a suite with its own bathroom, which made the stay even better. The hosts, Pau and Pepe, went above and beyond to make our trip seamless. They stocked the fridge for us before arrival and arranged airport shuttles, making everything effortless. Their hospitality was top-notch! If you’re looking for an amazing place to stay, this is it. 10/10—can’t wait to come back next time we visit!

Really incredible home which was perfect for our party of 12; all the rooms felt private and well appointed, and the common area was stunning - the flow of the kitchen to the living room to the pool was great for taking in the beautiful surroundings. We spent a lot of time on the deck and in the pool - was a perfect spot for us. Pepe was super helpful arranging everything - from restaurant reservations, to airport transfers, to booking golf carts (definitely book to golf carts - the house it at the top of a hill, and golf carts are the best way to get from the house to town).

Pepe was an excellent host, very attentive to our needs and he helped us coordinate a lot for our four families staying at this home. Tania the amazing woman who came to reset the house each day with cleaning and washing laundry was heaven sent! She was even excellent and sweet with all of our babies (we had 5 in total at the house). The views are incredible and the sunsets unmatched up on that hill! However that was also the downside. Being a top the steepest hill meant many people couldn’t make it up. We had to return our original golf cart rentals for gas carts, because they couldn’t do it. Ubers, food delivery, nannies, etc all needed us to pick them up, at the base which meant 15+ minutes a trip, many extra trips and coordination as well as not being able to ride up/down with children with only one parent. You cannot walk anywhere from this house resaonably, which was a little bummer. It really limited our trip, but that was on us! Pepe did everything he could to make our stay ?

11/10 experience! The place was amazing - literally every room had the best view. Would definitely stay again here in an instant. Pepe was great, he helped coordinate our groups golf carts, a private chef at the house, and was extremely helpful. Tonya the house cleaner was extremely nice and came every morning. Like the reviews said - yes it’s on a steep hill side. Golf carts were extremely nice and convenient, definitely would recommend those. However some of our group made the walk up the hill, so it’s possible, just prepare yourself for a steep walk. This place was worth every penny!

This house was amazing! Beautiful inside and out. Gloria and Alethia were fantastic with helping us and cooking for us! The pictures do not do this place justice…. It was remarkable and the sunsets were spectacular. You absolutely need good golf carts if you rent this place. The golf carts were really convenient and fun though! The water can be a bit temperamental compared to what you might be used to, but better than most places I’ve stayed in Mexico. Really all love for the house and team! We will be coming back for sure.

The house was very inviting and accommodated our large group nicely. We had a fabulous time and appreciated how responsive Alethia was.

Beautiful view over town and the main beach. We saw beautiful sunsets, whales, and could hear waves crashing all from our living room. Highly recommend!

PROS - The house sits atop a hill that looks out over the ocean, and it's better in person - Gloria cooked us an unbelievable meal. She really went above and beyond for us. - The house was clean, secure, and overall just very luxurious CONS - Did I mention the hill? It cannot be overstated how steep and narrow this hill is. It really isn't walkable for 98% of people. You NEED either a car or golf cart to get up/down. We used golf carts, but the first couple of trips were definitely nerve-wracking. If you're not a confident driver, get a good car or use local taxis. Alethia was very helpful in arranging transportation to/from the airport. - Inconsistent bathrooms. My bathroom had great shower pressure but the toilet didn't always flush. Other people complained their shower pressure wasn't always good. Overall, our stay here was outstanding. The space was big enough to fit our group of 11 people for 5 days, and Alethia was very responsive. Just mind that hill!

Our stay was absolutely incredible. The house was beautiful. Every room was nice with beach views. The view from this house was breathtaking. We enjoyed sunset views from the deck every night. The house was very clean. The housekeeper Gloria came and cleaned every day, which was a HUGE bonus we hadn’t even accounted for when we booked. It made our stay with a big group so easy. Aléthia was fantastic. She gave great recommendations and was super responsive. A few things to note: - DEFINITELY rent golf carts. We had a marathon runner in our group and even she wouldn’t want to walk up the hill every day :). You can work with Aléthia to get then from a good company. If you are coming for a holiday week (eg New Years or Christmas) book months early because all the golf carts in town will sell out. - For surf lessons, we used Johnny from sunset sessions and would definitely recommend him.

Where do I start? Alethia was so responsive. If we messaged her for a recommendation, the response was immediate. A few times we messaged her. She was so fast I didn't see her response! :-) She made us feel right at home. I also wanted to make sure to talk about Gloria the housekeeper. She was amazing. She didn't speak English very well.... we didn't speak Spanish very well.... and yet we were able to communicate effectively. My 4-year-old daughter loved her. Gloria is also an amazing cook. The house description said Gloria could cook traditional dinners at the house if you request it. I highly recommend you do this! There are plenty of outstanding restaurants in Sayulita but Gloria's will be one the most memorable. YUM!!!!!! She even made homemade flan for dessert. I would also follow the recommendation to rent a golf cart for the stay. Some of the Cart rental places weren't responding to my requests. Alethia was on it and gave us a hand. Outstanding!

This place is amazing from the view to the accommodations, everything exceeded expectations. The hosts were incredible and met us at the property for check in and check out. Alethia was super responsive with all of our questions and set us up with Gloria who cooked us some amazing meals. We were thrilled with everything and had an amazing stay. Highly recommend!

It was beyond what we imagined. The trip of a lifetime. Sayulita stole our hearts. We rented out the entire house. Definitely rent golf carts. It’s a long walk to town without them and the hill is very steep. We went through the company, Sayulita Golf Carts. They were so helpful. Gloria cooked dinner for us. She is so sweet and such an amazing cook. They were the best meals of our trip. Alethia was so helpful with everything. I can’t recommend this house enough.

My friends and I had a wonderful time staying at Villa Surya! The house and the views from the home are truly stunning! Alethia, who managed the property during our stay, was extremely helpful. She helped us arrange transportation to the airport and was readily available for any questions we had during our stay. If you decide to stay here, definitely rent a golf cart (we rented ours from Sayulita Golf Carts, and they were great). For anyone looking for a fantastic weekend with their friends, I highly recommend Villa Surya!

Villa Surya had unbeatable views! Eric is extremely helpful in all things Sayulita from airport transfers, meals, even grocery delivery. We had a superb stay enjoying the infinity pool and homemade meals from Gloria, as well as hanging out on the beach in town.

Amazing location with a great view A bit steep to get up there but we got used to it and saw it as a gods work out every day Get a couple of golf carts!!! If you fly in to Porto Vallarta you can easily get an Uber to the house. Cars are really expensive. Once in Sayulita you only need a gold cart

Excellent location; the place is 10 minutes from the beach, but the views in the mornings and afternoons are the best—you won't want to leave the house. We are very grateful for Eric and Gloria's hospitality, for putting us at ease and making us feel right at home.

The place is beautiful, with a great view. Eric was very helpful, flexible, and responsive throughout the stay and prior to coming. The owner Kent is also very nice and drove us into town on several occasions. The place was clean and well-kept. Great kitchen amenities with cooking oil, spices, blender, etc.. There are two steep roads going up to the place, one of which is very steep and should not be driven up, and could be difficult for people who are older or less fit to walk on (about a 10 min walk to the beach, then 15-20 min walk to town). We rented out the entire place with the suites, which was great because we had a common space for everyone, and people had their own rooms and showers as well. It could be different experience if there were other people staying in the suites below, which would be something to look into when you're booking. Lovely!
