The cabin was amazing; everything was exactly as described. The reception staff were super friendly and helpful. We were a group of moms with children, and it was definitely an unforgettable experience for everyone. Congratulations to the entire team!!

The place is extremely beautiful. There is still some construction happening but nothing that interferes with your stay. When they complete their project, it appears you won’t even have to leave the property. They have everything you need. As for the cabin, the views were breathtaking. The fire chimney was exactly what we needed to keep us warm. Our group of 6 enjoyed our stay. I would just add that the office holds an ID in exchange for the keys and they open at 7:30 am so you should work something out if you plan on leaving earlier. We had an early bus to catch. Aside from that, very lovely!

We loved our stay at Rancho Viejo. Wished we had one more night to enjoy the place and surroundings! Worth the stay if you’re in San Jose del Pacifico!

The views were amazing. The place was well equipped. It was windy and cold but we were comfortable. Some sliding doors didn’t close completely and it was drafty but the views and surrounding made it worth it.

We were a group of three, and the beautiful casa Hernandez was an incredible experience. Comfortable beds, clean house and all the amenities you need. Bathroom and showers were clean. The cabanas has laundry service (paid separately). The hiking trails next to the cabanas is beautifully manicured and easy to walk around. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. It’s very easy to get to town, the front desk will help you get transportation to restaurants and it’s an easy 7 min. Ride. We will return here many times in the future and highly recommend it.

Great cabin!! Gorgeous views and excellent customer service - we would definitely stay again and we highly recommend this property! On cold nights, a heater in each bedroom, if possible, would be nice but the beautiful chimney downstairs did an excellent job of heating up the living room and kitchen.

This place is truly beautiful. I traveled with my family and we stayed in the large 3 bedroom lodge. The view of the mountain was amazing and the place is well decorated and well furnished. We already talking about returning.

Amazing views, very nice cabin.

We stayed in the large cabin and were really impressed with the cleanliness, quality and attention to detail. The views were stunning and we loved being able to have a fire in the fireplace at night.

Perfect place to stay! The cabania is super comfortable and big with all the facilities you need and the raunch have amazing view point for the sunset. They checked us early and it was super nice and helpful.

Beautiful chalet lost in the mountains. The fireplace on the outdoor terrace is a real plus.

The cabin was astonishing beautiful. Surrounded by nature and impressive views. We loved the fire pit and the bed were very comfortable. Kitchen was 100% equipped and everything was very clean. We’ll definitely come back again.

The cabin was exactly what we were hoping and looking for. It's part of a bigger complex, but it feels private enough. They had firewood every morning for us and greeted us with one of the most delicious apple pies I've ever had. Highly recommend staying here with a group of friends.

The cabin was beautiful and very spacious. Easily one of the best accommodations in San Jose. Great value for the price. The Rancho Viejo staff was what completed the trip. They made sure that we had everything we needed and more. I’ve stayed at many Airbnb’s and hotels, they were the best I’ve ever experienced.

Incredible location with great hospitality. The cabins are beautiful, well equipped and the views are exquisite. Good heating options inside but be sure to pack warm clothes for your stay in the area in general.

This place is amazing. The cabin is comfortable, clean, and has everything one could need. The views are incredible. But the absolute best part of this place is the people who operate it. They check up on you, and in a very genuine, non bothersome way, make sure that you fall in love with the place. I don’t know when life will take us back to the mountains of Oaxaca, but when they do, Rancho Viejo will be our place.

The place is amazing! The armchair is delightful, perfect for enjoying a glass of wine in front of the fire! The kitchen is super stocked, so there's no need to travel with anything. The rooms are simple but very comfortable. Plenty of room to park without a problem.

Cool spot. Incredible view of the mountains, cozy fireplace, helpful staff nearby. Bit far from the main restaurants, but easily solved by calling a colectivo or kindly asking the staff to call one for you.

Spectacular cabin with mountain views. Very spacious, with three bedrooms (all with views and balconies) and two and a half bathrooms. There is also a terrace downstairs. Very easy check-in and very friendly staff. 5 minutes or less by car from San José del Pacífico

The cabanas are a great place to stay as a midpoint between oaxaca city and the Oaxaca coast. We stayed for one night and wish we had stayed for more. The clouds literally pass through the house if you keep the windows and doors open. The cabin was clean and spacious.

Do not hesitate to book! This place is gorgeous and the view is unbelievable. FYI it is nearby to lots of other cabins in a little community, but the house has floor-to-cieling windows facing out to a totally private view of the mountains with a double decker ourdoor deck. Good balance of privacy and community feel. Amazing! Wish we could have stayed longer!

The cabaña is beautiful, clean, renovated, and spacious. We enjoyed sitting around the fire and waking up in the morning to a beautiful view of the mountains. I would certainly stay here again.

A luxury cabin, it's very comfortable and comfortable

A very nice, clean and safe cabin. The view is spectacular at 7am.

An excellent place to rest and enjoy nature. The hosts are always available, communicate very clearly, and are very attentive to any needs—extremely thoughtful in every detail! It's a magical place that's worth it! As well as all the recommended activities to do! I would 100% come back again!

The cabins are the best in San José del Pacífico. They are 5 minutes from town, have a very good view, and the hospitality from the staff is excellent. The cabin is fully equipped for spending many days in comfort and enjoying yourself. Definitely recommended

Absolutely amazing place!

The cabin is beautiful and just like the photos , super clean , tidy and they left us amenities like fruits and cake from the region ... the manager was attentive all the time and attended to all our needs .

Unbeatable place, amazing views, the cabin is really luxurious and well equipped. The hospitality is good, they got me dinner, despite the remote and they were always willing to moment when I required them to turn on the boiler or fireplace. The place is very clean.

What a fantastic place! The luxury cabin is beautiful and very comfortable. I would recommend arriving early afternoon, before the clouds come down. And pick up provisions in the village. They light a fire for you and it was magical sitting above the clouds, with views on all sides, having drinks and dinner. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The kitchen is well equipped. Lovely place to stay!

A very large cabin with many things that can be used, but we have to be informed of it in cold times. We highly recommend putting a heater. The place is beautiful and the surroundings are also Cesar as a host.

Our stay exceeded our expectations, from the town, comfort, luxury and atmosphere. The service he gave us Cesar and his wife was a key part of the luxury and comfort that was experienced. I definitely recommend both the service and the stay. The best combination of housing and nature.

Beautiful cabin just outside of the main part of San Jose. Really easy short trip by mototaxi into town. Beautiful view across the mountains. Highly recommend.

Very nice place, people who take care of them very friendly

Very big, quiet and comfortable cabin outside of town. The biggest building in a complex of about 5 cabins. Stocked up on food in San José when we arrived in the van, then took a taxi/tuk tuk to the place. Nice to wake up to beautiful views of the mountains. Great porch on both sides of the cabin. Caretaker was super friendly and helpful. Nice that they gave us firewood and extra blankets. Hot water shower in the morning. That is mezcal in the container that looks like it has water.

Rancho viejo is placed in an amazing wild área, we really enjoyed it. César, who is living there is a really nice guy, he helped us a lot with orientation, starting the fireplace, internet... And the house is really big and nice. It has everything you may need to have a perfect stay. I totally recommed this house.

Rancho Viejo is a peninsula of land located on the top of a mountain about a mile from San Jose del Pacifico. The views on either side are spectacular. The unit was great. Generous living room and open kitchen. Internet had plenty of speed to make my Firestick work. Probably a rookie mistake, but there was a glass five gallon container and I used some of the contents to make tea in the morning. Quite a surprise when it turned out I was drinking hot mezcal!

In San Jose you find the best view of the Sierra Sur mountains, the best weather and the clouds go down over you. Amazing place.

Amazing location to get away from the world as you know it and see the world as nature intended!

Check in is a breeze and the house is gorgeous, as advertised. Caesar checked us in and was so helpful and friendly. The views of the the misty mountains are spectacular. There was also 2 puppies to play with while we there, Senior Misty and another one.
