Great spot in a great location!

Fantastic house, felt right at home! Nice kitchen, yard, barbecue, the bedrooms are nice, well appointed. Plenty of beach towels as well. Washer/dryer, AC in all the rooms, and essentials in the bathrooms and kitchen. Meaning shampoo, soap, paper towels, all you need. Been in plenty of places where you need to go and buy them upon your arrival, and boy that's a bummer! Two issues made me give only 4 stars, although I struggled with the rating. First, the pool, fantastic looking as it is, is waaay colder than expected. 85-90 outside, and the pool seems like you're close to lake Superior, rather than being in a tropical country. There's no heating to the pool - the top part looking like a hot tub has the same temp as the lower part. So that's that so no good from this point of view. The second issue is the pillows. They seem to be made by "the pillow guy", all clumpy and with no support for you neck. But if you're a beach bum, with no neck issues, you'll be more than happy here!

Beautiful house and we loved the location! Hosts were responsive and very helpful and accommodating. There were some little things that probably needed a bit of maintenance — but it didn’t bother us enough to bring to attention of hosts, so that’s on us. Some of the furniture has shown its wear, but overall we had a great time and very much enjoyed our stay in Potrero!

We had a wonderful week in Potrero, the beach is beautiful and the Airbnb is walking distance to the beach and restaurants. The house is very bright and airy, the backyard is spacious and the pool is perfect size and ideal to cool down, we enjoyed it very much. Sayaka and Ian are very friendly and responsive, they were prompt to aid with issues during the week and made sure we were happy with our stay. There is a woodworking shop next door that uses power tools, but they take frequent breaks and don’t start work till after 9, it wasn’t ideal but not intolerable. I would recommend asking for two sets of keys if you are travelling with other adults that might want to go out at different times, as well as a key for the car gate in case of power outage to open manually. Overall we had a wonderful week. Thank you Sayaka for everything!

Overall, our stay was pleasant. The location was great for walkability. Our two families appreciated the quiet town and variety of grocery stores and restaurants. La Forketta, Cobak Sushi, and Carpe Diem were some favorites. The nearby areas (Flamingo and Brasilito) were nice for even more beach and dining options. The house was comfortable for the eight members in our group. Some noticings: There are no curtains in the house which made for early mornings with small children. Unfortunately, the pool was not fully usable for our duration. There were issues with filters and pumps which was a bit disappointing for the kids in our group. Ask for location of the alarm upon arrival so you can quickly turn it off. Ask for more direction on how to use the alarm easily for coming and going.
