Really fantastic design and comfortable, loved the modern bedrooms and contrast with the thatched palapa on top. Worked out very well for our large group and with two fantastic cooks had a wonderful time.

The stay in this house was spectacular. The house is a work of art and Juana and Martina cooked and took care of us wonderfully. It was really a vacation I would go back to.

We had an amazing experience. We had a great time; Luciana was always very friendly, helpful and willing to help at all times. In addition, he responded very quickly, which is appreciated. The house is spectacular, comfortable and with everything you need to enjoy it to the fullest. The only thing to note is the location: it's about 40 minutes from Zicatela, so we were constantly moving by taxi. Still, the place and the service made it totally worth it. We would definitely have stayed much longer! :)

Super nice house and nice!

If you are looking for a place to escape from the city and crowds, this is it! I definitely recommend purchasing the meal package since there are no nearby restaurants. The closest restaurant is about 30-45 min walk and a 15 minute drive. Luciana was a great host, she was very communicative and attentive to our needs. The food was also delicious and the staff were super attentive and friendly. The only thing that made me and my family feel a little uncomfortable is the fact that since there are no solid walls, therefore when we showered at night with the lights on, you can see right through them. Because the Airbnb is open, there is no AC so it is a little warm at night but it gets fresher at night. Overall my family and I had a great experience, enjoyed the amenities, and loved being so close to the beach!

Casa Cal is just truly a magical place. The house is stunning and has everything you need for a relaxing vacation. Luciana helped coordinate a driver for us not only from Oaxaca City but also for getting to Puerto and Mazunte so we didn't have to rent a car. Also the house cook, Juana, was incredible. A different fresh juice every morning, a different fresh salsa every day. We ate fish, shrimp, lobster, etc. We loved every minute of our stay and can't wait to go back next year!

The place is exactly as shown in the photos; it is very quiet. If your plan is to disconnect from everything, this is the ideal place! Puerto Escondido is 40 minutes away, and to get groceries, you have to drive, but they can offer you a food package. Juanita's food is very tasty. Remember to bring plenty of insect repellent and be careful at night, as it is common for small animals to appear in the lakeside area where you will be staying. The beach is just a few steps from the house, where you can enjoy the sound of the waves crashing on the rocks. Casa Cal is well worth a visit.

We loved our stay!! It’s an amazing property with amazing people! Have Juana cook for you! It was more than perfect! I wish we would have brought fans or more bug spray as it’s all outdoors but at night, it got cooler! It was the perfect stay and our group of 10 enjoyed every second.

We had an excellent stay at this beautiful open-concept house. The service was outstanding, and the rooms were spotless. The onsite cooks prepared delicious meals, and the private beach dinner was a perfect touch. The location is ideal, and we found that renting a car was the best way to explore the area. We had an amazing time with friends and would highly recommend this Airbnb for a memorable vacation.

The house complies with everything that is read in the description. The attention of the people who work in the house is the best, they are always on the lookout and you never lack anything. The food they prepared for us always perfect and on time. Luciana was always available at all times and arranged everything to make the stay out of the most comfortable.

Our group had a wonderful stay at Casa Cal. While it was a bit outside of the centre of Puerto Escondido, it was the perfect package for our photoshoot production. The house and grounds were stunning. The close proximity to, what felt like, our very own private beach was convenient and such a luxury. All of the rooms were spacious, clean, and allowed for a very comfortable stay for the 10 days we booked. Security was also important, as we came back late many nights and the night guards were always waiting to close the gate behind us. Luciana was very responsive and super helpful for all the logistics and any questions we had about the property. The very best part was our private cooks, headed by the lovely Juana. The food was excellent- fresh, traditional Mexican cuisine and a never-ending list of options. Even then Juana delivered beyond that! She understood and accommodated our unique tastes, and gave us off-menu items which were to die for! Thanks Luciana- we had the most memorable

The house is amazing. We all covered very well and enjoyed a lot for large groups. The food was delicious and the space super agust. The beach is close, but it is not recommended to go for a swim there.

Casa Cal is a peaceful retreat for a large group and was the perfect setting for a 40th birthday. We had a great time relaxing, hanging out in the pool, exploring the beach and gathering for meals. Diana and Juana, the two cooks, were SO KIND and accommodating - highly recommend you book their services. The ocean is a little too rocky to swim, but the pool was just fine for us! Luciana was a super responsive host. A few things I would recommend: - bug spray (forgot one night and got eaten alive) - eye mask/ear plugs (the rooms are very open & can get bright early) - bring cash (the closest atm is in Puerto Escondido. We tipped the staff in cash and paid for coconuts & extra ice) - plan to bring any snacks or beverages you want that isn’t water (we stopped in Puerto Escondido on the way for supplies and then mid-trip messaged a taxi service to bring us some stuff) - the beach dinner was super special, but I recommend starting earlier than you think so you aren’t eating in the dark

Casa Cal was absolutely incredible. Just feet from an epic surf spot. Totally private house. I rented it as a group of 9, and it was truly the best group vacation I’ve ever done. I highly recommend hiring Juana for cooking, the food is delicious and made our stay so easy and relaxing. Really hoping to be back and do it all over again sometime soon.

This was such an amazing stay for a big group of people - there's many common areas around the pool that we loved and the cleaning and cooking crew are so lovely and accommodating. It was so easy to get anything organized by Luciana or Juana (our fabulous cook). It is also very close to the beach so highly recommend getting a beach dinner. It was hot while we were there so just be prepared there is no AC and all the walls are open so you can hear pretty much everything, but that's common with such year round hot places. Highly recommend this place we had the best time!

Our stay at Casa Cal by the end of the year was perfect. We were 12 people from the family and had a spectacular time, we were able to disconnect from everything and enjoy family time and surrounded by nature. Juani and Diana (the cooks) had an amazing season each dish was richer than the other. Luciana was attentive throughout our trip and helped us coordinate all the activities that made the stay even better. They were all super friendly and we felt right at home. We hope to be able to return sometime.

This was the perfect home for a week stay on the beautiful Oaxacan coast. Luciana was super helpful in helping to recommend activities. I would definitely recommend getting Marco, the driver, for transportation as well as the chefs. Amazing food and Juana and Catalina are so helpful in making the stay great. Daily housekeeping, a couple minute walk to the secluded beach and beautiful pools. Can’t beat this place.

Our stay was magical, thanks in part to Luciana's generous and proactive help in arranging meals, transportation, and activities. The design of the building is great, perfectly balancing private and shared spaces with fresh air throughout. The site is incredibly peaceful, just a couple minutes by foot from a gorgeous stretch of beach. We opted to have most meals prepared on-site by Juana and her team. They were delightful and the food was delicious. Altogether, a wonderful experience that our group would highly recommend.

Casa Cal is truly amazing. We had a great stay away from the city and enjoyed our time a lot. The pool is beautiful, the beach is perfect to go out for a walk, the staff is kind and services provided are worth it. The place is quiet and clean, and would definitely recommend it for large groups.

Wow, this place was absolutely amazing! If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, this is the place to be, all you can hear is the sound of ocean waves and wildlife. The breeze comes in off the water into the screened doors of the rooms, and the open air living and dining allow you to take in the gorgeous setting. You can see every star in the sky. Now let’s talk food, hire the cooks!!! This delicious food was made with love and attention, plus, the house is so far removed from the city, it’s super convenient for the ladies to cook onsite. They also assisted in arranging transportation for us. Our host, Luciana, was great! She was responsive and helpful in designing a beautiful experience for my friend, the bride to be! I would definitely come back!

Amazing place.

Luciana’s villa is a quiet, clean, spacious and calming place. We had a lovely sunset dinner on the beach which i definitely recommend, as it makes the stay even more special!

Casa Cal is a perfect private Oasis. We rented cars at the airport, it's very easy 45 min drive down the highway and then we had our car for odds and ends. We added in the food option for the duration of our stay and I cannot recommend it enough. The ladies are so kind and talented and made us some of the most delicious meals I've had in Mexico. I am still dreaming about the whole fish. Luciana was always easy to get a hold of and was so helpful with all of our many requests, she hired a driver to Mazunte for us and even helped arranged scheduling COVID tests to the home for our trip back home. I cannot wait to visit Casa Cal again!

Casa Cal is a special home on a special slice of the Oaxaca Coast. This would all be enough, but Luciana has also curated some activities, guides and local women (chefs) to make the experience more streamlined and special. I haven’t been this relaxed in years!

The beach is incredible, we loved it. We sat in the warm pools of water. The chairs and umbrellas are only available for a fee. Food was excellent. Bedrooms were beautiful. Cleaners start very early day, so between that and mosquitos we didn’t get a ton of sleep. But we loved it especially the beach and sun coming up in morning

We loved our stay at casa CAL. It’s one of these special places of Puerto Escondido area, alongside Punta Pajaros, with a direct access to immaculate, impressively wavy, beaches. The design is just as described in the listing, meaning amazing! The staff on site (cooks, cleaning person) were very friendly. The food itself was great. And finally, we really enjoyed the field to play paddle racket, which was a surprise for us.

Where do I even begin? We were 8 women joining from all over the world at Casa Cal to experience lifetimes of bliss within a week. The house is as if you are in your own remote paradise and the only ones in the world there. From the sunrises at the beach to ourselves; to Juana and the ladies INCREDIBLE cooking!!! There is so much beauty and awe available to anyone who is ready to experience Casa Cal -- a true home away from home. The energy of the space is so inviting; the rooms unique and beautiful; all the animals and plants and nature you feel immersed with. It is all apart of the unforgettable experience casa cal offers. The amazing house design,you have a super good size private pool for many people,access to a super natural dream beach.Luciana helped us super attentive and patient with every detail from transportation to food that was spectacular every day. It is a house in which you can definitely enjoy a trip with family or friends without having to go out. Highly recommended!

This is place is magical. The house is gorgeous! It’s exactly what you see in the pictures. The service team are all fantastic and great! Really glad Luciana provided extra services such as food and transportation which were all amazing for the price. Even the massage was worth it. This is not your typical airbnb as they have a team that clean up the rooms and provide all the essentials like a hotel which was a nice surprise. We also felt very safe as they have guardsmen watching over the property. The house is all very natural so expect occasional bugs and no a/c but it’s def worth it in terms of the real experience. The beach is a little rough when we went but still amazing to see in person and dip your toes in. Cant wait to go back. Highly recommend!!!

Luciana’s place is stunning.A quiet location not too from town, but feels a million miles away. Staring up at the blanket of stars was incredible. The ocean is very rough, but the beach is clean and empty. An amazing place to hangout with friends. The additional services such as massages and yoga are highly recommended. And the food - don’t even think about it. A huge advantage. Delicious and the women are lovely and incredibly talented.

You have the option to ask for massage and they go to the house and they give you the massage, we highly recommend it. The beach you have a 2-minute walk away, it is super comfortable and beautiful. 100% a place to disconnect!

This is my second time in two years booking Casa Cal for a group vacation. I can not recommend the house more highly. First, the house is stunning. The environment is beautiful and the ocean is steps away. The house is remote and that’s what makes it even more special. Second, the staff is incredible. Our chefs were warm, welcoming and wonders in the kitchen. The gardeners and daily cleaning staff couldn’t be nicer (when you actually saw them). Third, the design of the house is out of this world. The main living area, pool, kitchen is a great hang spot. And each room is like a little private oasis with private showers and toilets as nice extra touches. The beach has soft white sand and warm water. The waves can be on the rough side for some but for us they were perfect. Luciana will help arrange outings and services. I highly recommend the massages. Everyone in our group booked one, some booked twice. The surf lessons are great too. I can’t wait to come back next year! Thank you, Luciana! Casa Cal was the perfect place to spend my birthday with close friends.

We had a wonderful time in this beach house - one minute walk to the beach. Everything was perfect. We loved our cook Angel and his help. The food was tasty and fresh and he was very attentive. The house is wonderful and was super clean. Every bedroom is special, pool & dining area is very cosy. Luciana, the host, was always very helpful and arranged everything carefully for our needs.
