The communication with the host was excellent. The Villa Del Palmar resort is incredibly beautiful with a clean beach and clear water that allows you to see seagrass and fish (Do not forget your snorkel equipment)! The staff works extremely hard to make sure everyone is having a great vacation and keep everything clean. Please be sure to tip the staff!! The pictures of a suite and amenities posted by the host are accurate. I would suggest calling the hotel directly to make transportation arrangements from the airport to the resort and from the resort to the airport if needed. Our transportation experience was excellent and on time. Required Covid-19 testing is available onsite for a fee. You can schedule your appointment when you check-in. You have the option to use any of the on-site restaurants and services and pay as you go; Or you can opt for the All-Inclusive option. You can sign up for the All-Inclusive option at check-in. The resort is located walking distance to the Punta Sam Ferry that takes you to Isla Mujeres for a day trip if you chose. There is a gas station around the corner from the resort, comparable to a 7/11, where you can purchase soft drinks, beer, snacks, and other items to store in your suite. The resort also has an onsite store where you can purchase comparable items and other necessities if you forget anything. There is even a Starbucks in the on-site store. If you need to take a taxi from the resort to a restaurant or store, the bellhop will call you a taxi and will show you the prices. Your taxi driver will wait for you until you are ready to return to the resort. Please be aware that at check-out you will be provided an itemized list of state taxes/fees and other purchases you incurred during your stay.
