We absolutely loved our stay here. The location is ideal, walkable to everything in the main part of town but tucked away enough to be peaceful and private. The terrace was one of the best we've ever had, great seating, plenty of shade, and comfortable at any time of the day. We spent a lot of time out there. The house was spotless and looked exactly like the photos. The kitchen had everything we needed. Paula was a great host. We didn't run into any issues, but she proactively checked in to make sure we had everything we needed, which we really appreciated. Antigua itself is a wonderful place to visit, we'd come back and stay here again in a heartbeat.

This is the second home of Paula’s that I’ve stayed in and can say that both places were absolutely beautiful and spacious! My friends and I didn’t get to stay long enough to appreciate the beauty of the home but our limited time still felt peaceful. Paula let us drop off our things before check in so we could explore the city and she was responsive. Would recommend staying here.

This apartment is beautiful. The pictures are accurate but don’t quite capture how unique and well decorated the space is. The neighborhood felt safe and walkable. A highlight for us was the rooftop patio and hot tub. A stunning space! I would absolutely book this house again. A few things I would have appreciated knowing: - hottub gets drained, cleaned and refilled between stays. This is great but means it won’t be hot on the first night. - water pressure is very poor. I suspect this is just a function of the neighborhood and age of the house. This meant that we couldn’t run washer/dishwasher and a shower. Very manageable, and understandable, but just FYI. - it can be chilly in Antigua at night and the living spaces are open air. This is common in Antigua, and is quite charming, but be prepared with warm clothes for the am. Bedrooms are cozy and comfortable. Again, we loved this apartment, and I recommend it fully as an oasis in a busy city!

This is a beautiful space that was quite accurate to descriptions. However, as previous reviews have noted, it is located quite close to a church that sounds its bells daily. We also stayed during the beginning of lent, which only amplified the bells. While it was not a problem for our group, if looking for a quite place, this may not be the best choice. But if you'd like to be immersed in the culture, especially around the Easter holiday, you'll have the opportunity to see alfombra's made on the street right outside the house, and watch the processions from the rooftop, which is really quite the experience. Aside from that, we did have an issue with some of the bedding not being properly cleaned prior to our arrival. Aside from that, things went smoothly.

I was all in all very pleased with the accommodation. Paula was always receptive to needs and would check in every other day. I would love to book this house again. Note: church is right next door, so bring earplugs if you are a late and light sleeper.

Centrally located and clean

Our host Paula was very responsive. She had good suggestions for the marketplace and shopping. The home was delightful and gorgeous. She was attentive to all our requests. I would stay here again.

The house was as advertised and accommodated our group of 8 very easily. We would definitely stay here again. 2 notes not mentioned in the listing: you can watch Fuego erupt from the rooftop while in the jacuzzi. Very cool experience! Also, the church next door begins ringing bells at 6am, then 6:30ish, and again around 7am while we were there in January. Maybe this changes depending on the time of year but it’s worth mentioning. You’ll be sleeping with the windows open so there’s no way to avoid the sound. We were early risers but that may not be the case for all guests.

Paula's place in Antigua is beautiful. One of my favorite places to sip coffee is on the second floor outdoor deck admiring the view. It is also an excellent location walkable to the city center and near Caoba Farms. This is our second time staying at her house, and it is a gem of a place. I hope it is available on our next trip to Antigua.

The only thing it’s that there is no parking at the house you have to pay for parking separately we didn’t like that because there is clearly a garage there.

The condo is beautiful and the houses are dreamy! They are much more spacious than what you see in the photos. Everything is perfectly clean and tidy and the surroundings are great too! Google Maps is not up to date and it seems that it is in the middle of nowhere, but in reality there are many restaurants and a lot of life. Highly recommended for families too! Nothing more to add, thank you!

Wow, what a beautiful home. The design of the house is functional and beautiful, lots of natural light and built in a modern yet historic style. Location is superb, right near some top restaurants but still very quiet. Perfect for our group of 8 guests, we had an amazing stay.

An excellent experience and great service, a beautiful house

We had a wonderful stay with our two children (4 months and 3 years old) and family members visiting from another part of Guatemala. Would highly recommend! Especially if you prefer to stay a bit outside of the central action it’s quiet and still extremely walkable to everywhere in Antigua and located in a nice part of town. We had a great time the jacuzzi was always hot, hot water was good, and the kitchen and open layout was very conducive to our needs and desires. Only complaint is that if you want to cook you do have to buy everything including oil and salt and sugar. This is easy to do at local tiendas but would be nice to have the staples provided. Host is very communicative! All around great place to stay highly recommend we’ll definitely come back when we have a group.

Absolutely beautiful place with an amazing rooftop hottub and view overlooking La Merced Church in Antigua, Guatemala. Rooms are comfy and place feels like a boutique hotel, with a beautiful sitting room, well-equipped kitchen, and lovely outdoors courtyard in the center of the home. Great for large groups and families. Paula was extremely courteous and checked in with us to see if we had any needs throughout our stay. Thank you Paula for your hospitality - we'd stay here again!

Stunning accommodation. The architecture is just beautiful. It’s a slight walk from town but that was only a small niggle as we had to carry our 2 year old everywhere. Overall I would highly recommend

We had a wonderful stay at Paula's place in Antigua. She allowed us to drop our bags off early, which was very helpful for our group. The whole house was very spacious and beautifully decorated with a cute courtyard! We especially loved the rooftop space with the jacuzzi and the view. The kitchen was very big and well equipped. The house is located off the main roads, so there was not too much traffic noise. It was about a 15 minute walk from the central plaza. We would definitely recommend staying here!

I had an amazing stay here! The place was incredibly spacious, clean, and comfortable — even better than the photos. The location couldn’t be more perfect: walking distance to all the best restaurants, shops, and everything Antigua has to offer. The host was super responsive and made the entire stay effortless. The place has an excellent location, the construction is quite recent and tasteful, spacious, with good finishes. The lighting in the common areas is spectacular, the host always responded attentively and very quickly.

Nice house and excellent location

This home is so beautiful! Unfortunately, we were only there for one night so were not able to use all of the amenities, but it was perfect for the final night of our Guatemala trip as we traveled back through Antigua. I absolutely love the architecture of this space - the courtyard, the tile in the bathrooms, the wooden beamed ceiling, it is just such a beautiful and peaceful spot and was a treat to stay in. Paula was very responsive when I had questions and Chris who greeted us on arrival was very friendly and helpful.

The house is spectacular and Paula took care of us perfectly with good communication and quick responses. You should take into account that the house is next to a church that rings the bells at 6am. Also, the location they provide is not accurate on Google Maps or Waze - you should ask Paula to give you the best location when you arrive in Antigua. The jacuzzi is delicious and the temperature is perfect, the kitchen is fully equipped and the location is very good for walking to any restaurant in Antigua.

We had a great time. We liked the location as we could easily walk to restaurants and the town square. The house was clean and comfortable. We loved the rooftop patio. Paula was very responsive answering questions and checking in. She has a local person who was able to help with anything we needed right away.

A beautiful, cozy, and spacious house in an excellent location with beautiful views. The host was very friendly and helpful, and we had a great time. The internet wasn't working well, but the host offered help and gave instructions to try to fix it, but it didn't work. I would like to mention that I don't recommend the house to families with children under 3 years old, as it has dangerous areas where serious accidents can happen if an adult isn't present. We had two young two-year-olds and had to keep a constant eye on them, as one of the master bedrooms has stairs to get up to one of the beds, but no guardrails. Additionally, on the second floor, next to the jacuzzi, there is an open space where a child could easily jump or slip. Otherwise, we recommend this house for older children as well as adults.

We loved staying at Paula's house. If you are considering Hotel Sto Domingo or some other upscale lodging in Antigua, I recommend you check this out. The value was great and even an OCD neatnik would find the cleanliness up to standards. The fountain in the inner courtyard was lovely and when we opened the sliding doors, it freshened the space quickly. There were no screens on the doors, but we didn't have a problem with mosquitos. Our only critiques were that there we no basic condiments in the kitchen like sugar, salt and olive oil and maybe a few herbs or spices. In Europe, these are very standard. Also getting phone service there was a bit spotty. But the wifi was strong.

Staying in Paula’s house was a truly wonderful experience that added a lovely memory to our trip across mexico and Guatemala. The location is perfect — in the historical center yet peaceful and relaxing. The space is cozy, in guatemaltecan style, beautifully decorated with a great local touch, and filled with lovely plants that give it such a warm and authentic feel. All was functional and well organised. We were a mixed group of friends and family members from Europe and México/Guatemala : somehow we felt altogether at home ! The host is kind, responsive, and made sure everything went smoothly. We totally recommend this place and would love to come back! We had a lovely stay! The host was very responsive to our questions prior to arrival, which helped everything go smoothly. We had read a few reviews mentioning issues with the hot tub and ants, but we’re happy to report that we didn’t experience either during our stay. There were a few roaches spotted, and the top floor bathroom sink had a drainage issue, which made it difficult for more than one person to use it back-to-back. That was our only inconvenience. Aside from that, the space was beautiful and well-suited for our group. We even had a masseuse come on site to treat our bride-to-be, and she was very pleased with the experience. Overall, a great spot for a relaxing and memorable getaway!
