If you think coming to Bacalar is a wonderful trip, you have no idea how this place makes it even better. I'll start with the attention that Gaby and Luis, the people who look after the house, gave us at all times, from cleaning the house to preparing breakfast and snacks, complemented by excellent tips to enjoy Bacalar more. The house is super comfortable, from the furniture to how well equipped it is, even allowing us to have a barbecue without any problems. Not only do you have direct access to the lagoon with kayaks and paddle boards, but there is also a super cool pool for the hot days we had. We will definitely return to Bacalar and even more so to Casa del Almendro.

The house is beautiful! I highly recommend. We love our stay here and were sad to leave this tropical paradise.

We had a great time. Alejandro and Luis were very attentive; they welcomed us with items in the refrigerator and pantry. They were all very helpful and friendly. The house is very nice; I don't think the photos do it justice. The kitchen was convenient, nice views, comfortable rooms, right in front of the cenote, with a great view of the lagoon.

From the first moment of our booking, Alejandro was an absolute gem. Kind, responsive, helpful, considerate, going the extra mile. The house is perfect. And Gaby and Luis…well, we cannot say enough about them. They made us feel so at home, so cared for and looked after. The house is SPOTLESS and incredibly well stocked. We were wanting for nothing. The beds are very comfortable, spacious bathrooms, everything thoughtfully stocked. We fell in love with the hammocks and Alejandro went the extra mile to connect us with the artisan. Gaby prepared some of our local favorites - absolutely delicious. And Gaby and Luis’ local recommendations were spot on - best places for groceries, local fish, roast chicken. For dining out, don’t miss La Playita, Mr Taco and Masa Madre. Skip Nixtamal and El Manatí. We had a fabulous private boat tour, swimming and snorkeling experience with Captain Jonathan and Maniac Bacalar. We will definitely return to Bacalar and will definitely rent this house again.

Alejandro’s beautiful home was even more picturesque. Pics don’t do it justice. The lovely couple who tends the property we’re absolutely amazing Too and made our experience all the better. Huge thanks to Luis and Gaby for assisting us with everything.

One of the most special places in the world, and an immaculate way to experience Bacalar Lagoon for the first time. Alejandro, Gaby and Luis went above and beyond time and time again for us. The home, view, pool, dock, and 100 other “little details” all combined to make this trip among our most memorable ever. We will be back for sure!

Excellent stay, a place full of peace

Dream house, even more beautiful in real life than in the pictures. We were hosted very well by the caretaker Luis who is adorable and always available when needed In short, we had a waking dream for 3 days. Thank you Alejandro and thank you Luis 🙏

The house is the perfect home base for a trip to Bacalar. We had a group of 6 adults and 3 children and fit perfectly. From the home cooked meal awaiting us when we arrived, to arranging of taxi cabs, and providing restaurant suggestions, Gabbi was the very best host. Close enough to walk to some restaurants and activities, far enough to be outside the bustle of town. This house is a nobrainer if you are looking for a place to stay in Bacalar.

It exceeded our expectations, one of the best Airbnbs we have ever rented. The house is beautiful, we really enjoyed the access to the lagoon and the kayak rides. The pool has a heater so it doesn't matter if it's cold or raining. Luis and his wife were super friendly, they helped us whenever we needed it and they always keep the house clean. We would definitely go back.

We couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. Alejandro, Luis and Gaby were very kind and were attentive to us before we arrived at the house. We had a mishap on the road and they were waiting for us to arrive well and offered to wait for us with dinner; it was like coming home, a very warm welcome. The whole house is in excellent condition, everything is super clean, with everything you need and more for a cozy stay. It is private enough to have a relaxed stay, with direct and convenient access to the lagoon. Definitely a place we'd go back to. Great hosts!

We really enjoyed it, it has a dock and we rented the tour and he picked us up at the house. We mentioned that we wanted roast meat and they welcomed us with a charcoal grill and a small pantry to make lunch. We didn't have lunch there, but we did eat cookies and fruit like pears and apples. Overall, everything was excellent

Fantastic house right on the Laguna. Very private, peaceful and quiet. Kitchen fully stocked. Fresh fruit and grocery in the fridge on arrival. Luis is amazing. Ready to help with anything anytime. 5* service.

Very nice house, the location is perfect for those who visit Bacalar in a relaxed plan but want to ensure to enjoy the natural beauty of the environment. The room in perfect condition, the beds extremely comfortable. The caretakers Gaby and Luis are very helpful in supporting any request. I recommend putting the house number outside or a sign with the name of the house, we were able to find it and by the comments of the same caretakers "to all pass", so there would be no more to invest in this!

Of the best stays I have had of all my years at Airb&b, I hope that if you come to this place you are encouraged to stay many days, you will not regret it, you have many amenities, many attentions, the always pending as well as the staff that was responding immediately! It was a wonderful stay in that wonderful place!

The house is beautiful and very comfortable, but what makes it even more special is the service provided by Gaby and Luis, they are very attentive and kind, they help you in everything they can and they have the house in excellent condition. We arrived and they had already bought us a super with the basics (very complete) that is already included in the rate. The beds are very comfortable, the pool is clean and warm. The only recommendation would be that they update the photos because it no longer has the children's games that are seen there and I who was carrying a child was something that if I expected. the rest was perfect, we would definitely come back.

The house is exactly as the pictures are to the pictures. The place is paradisiacal. And the people who attend there Gaby and Luis are very friendly. They give you everything and they are always aware of how you feel and what you need regarding the house. They also prepare to eat delicious.

Very comfortable house. Excellent view to the lagoon

It was very helpful that you handled various requests during our stay. I watched a Korean show and went from Japan, and it was really nice to go. It was also great to be able to get on the boat right from the front of the house.

It has been a spectacular family weekend, Alejandro's attentions from before arrival, and then the attentions of Gabi and Luis upon arrival and during the stay, spectacular. The house is very nice, very spacious, with excellent amenities, super good cleanliness, a spectacular terrace and garden, in front of the lagoon with pier if you plan on a tour. A few minutes from downtown by car. I highly recommend it, and I think one of the best things besides that the house is beautiful is the attentions from before arrival, and during the stay.

Amazing home and attention!

Our recent stay was wonderful! We were a family of nine people and there was plenty of room. The house is very private and beautiful, right on the water. There are two cabanas behind the main house, one with a king bed and the other with a queen bed. Each has a daybed that can be easily converted to a double, both with private bathrooms. There is a washer and dryer. The house has two bedrooms which share a bathroom. There is another bathroom for all. There are multiple outdoor seating areas. The pool mirrors the seven colors of the lake. At the private dock there are kayaks and a stand up paddle board. The caretakers live on site but in a way that it doesn’t affect the privacy. The house was extremely beautiful as is the view and grounds. We arrived after a long day of travel so I asked for dinner to be prepared when we arrived. They did an excellent job and there was enough food for 20 people. I sent a shopping list and the fridge was stocked with food. Shampoo, toothpaste

The service provided by Gaby and Luis was great . You can see the love that you have to keep those gardens and beautiful plants.

My husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary here in Bacalar with the entire family. Absolutely stunning view. The house was perfect for all ten of us. All together 23 traveled for this occasion. Of course several homes were rented. A 5-10 minute taxi ride from fabulous restaurants. Gaby and Luis were amazing! They helped us with whatever we needed. Alejandro was also great. Quick responses, which were appreciated. I’m so happy we selected this home. We would definitely stay here again.

The house is in a very privileged location on the lake, you can swim or kayak right off the dock! Beautiful gardens, very comfortable living areas and comfortable bedrooms. Gaby and Luis were very helpful and provided delicious breakfasts and lunches. It was the perfect spot in Bacalar and I would definitely go back!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The house is well equipped and location is conveniently located close to the town if you have a car. We enjoyed swimming and paddling in the lagoon and had some great dinners prepared to use by Gabi and Luis. Alejandro was also a very accommodating and communicative host!

We loved everything about the home and the location, the outdoor space was particularly amazing. We rented motorbikes and loved the quick and easy trip into town for meals. Louis and Gaby helped us organize a sunset sail, cooked delicious breakfasts, and had an amazing friendly vibe. We will be back soon!

Very nice house, impeccable cleanliness, they welcome you like in a 5-star resort, they have a super complete pantry with everything you need, fruit, water, cereal, coffee maker, etc. The bathrooms have a super complete set, shampoo, toothbrushes, soap, towels, you really don't need anything else. There are two people who are always attentive to everything that is offered, you are surprised with a breakfast, I really recommend this accommodation.

Amazing villa, right on the cenote! The staff were super helpful and friendly! Their kindness, as well as the beautiful house and the incredible setting made this stay one of the beat we have had. The villa can easily fit 10 people, so its ideal for a family or group trip.

The house is so beautiful and very comfortable. We had initially ask if it had a weelchair accessibility like a ramp for my disable sister and they were able to put ramps without us asking and We were absolutely amazed by it. There is also a couple of people at the property helping us on everything we needed throughout the days. Luis and Gaby were so nice and absolutely helpful. We were received with groceries in the fridge and that made a big difference. Our stay here was absolutely amazing. The house is beautiful and totally worth the money.

One of the best Airbnb experiences we've collectively had, cannot recommend this home enough. Gaby and Luis - the couple that lives on the premises - are the reason why this Airbnb goes above and beyond any other home/hotel/resort in the area. Gaby and Luis were both extremely kind, helpful, and overall delightful; they helped us navigate our way through Bacalar, plan a boat tour, made us feel extremely safe, and Gaby's home cooking was some of the best food we had during our stay. Alejandro too was very responsive and helpful before and during our stay. The home is absolutely stunning, better than the listing's photos, and accommodated our group of 5 adults comfortably. Honestly this home and experience felt like a dream, we all fell in love and are yearning to go back.

This house is spectacular in every possibie way. Booking and communication with owner was easy. The house is maintained impeccably and is so beautiful. Gabby and Luis have absolutely the best hospitality. For an additional tip (be generous) Gabby cooked amazing traditional cuisine and Luis took us to town. I highly recommend staying here.

Fantastic place! It's right on the water and just a pleasure. They have kayaks and canoes. Hammocks and chairs to layout on. There are three separate buildings: one house and two cabanas. The cabanas have one large bed and then a small built in couch that could be a single. Each cabana has it's own full bath. Gaby and Luis took care of everything. They even washed our clothes for us. Luis can get you anything you might need. We would absolutely go again!
