8BR Villa in Puerto Vallarta

Excellent, 4 weeks ago

The house is very nicely located. The rooftop with the small pool is very beautiful and the view is exceptional. The service was excellent. Celia and her daughter cook delicious food, and they took good care of us. In the summer, it's very hot in PV, and it doesn't have air conditioning. It's compensated by the fact that the house is open and there's plenty of ventilation, but you can still feel the heat.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An unforgettable stay — pure luxury and comfort We had the most incredible experience staying at this stunning 8-bedroom villa. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The property is beautifully designed, spacious, and immaculately maintained — perfect for large groups while still feeling private and relaxing. Each room was generously sized, comfortable, and thoughtfully decorated. The beds were super cozy, and having multiple bathrooms made everything so convenient for our group. The highlight, of course, was the pool area — absolutely gorgeous! It felt like having our own private resort. We spent most of our time there, whether it was lounging during the day or enjoying the peaceful atmosphere in the evening. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, making it easy to cook and gather together.

Place was beautiful and perfect location. It was very hot during our trip and because the house is “open”, not allowing for AC, it did get warm at night despite the ceiling fans and provided portable fans, but at no fault to the owner, just an exceptionally hot week.Spent most of our time when at the house on the roof, which had a great breeze and view. Would stay here again, but would plan next trip during a cooler part of the year

We absolutely fell in the love with the villa, extremely spacious and guests all loved having either own full restroom in each room. We will definitely be returning!

We loved our stay! There were 11 of us and we had plenty of space. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment and there was plenty of fridge space. The pool area and outdoor lounge provided plenty of seating and both sun and shade options. It was very noisy with the church bells, trucks, dogs barking, and roosters. Earplugs are recommended. However, the view was stunning, there was plenty to do near by, comfortable beds, lots of bathrooms, lovely decor and architecture. We would love to come back.

This was our 4th time staying at this house. It checks SO many boxes for our group of friends. (Couples, singles, and even kids on occasion). Each room has its own bathroom and room key and house key so everyone can venture on their own or stay with the group. Lots of different gathering spaces, and close to lots of things. Restaurants, malecon… it’s all close! We’ll be back again next year!

This place was a perfect stay for a group of 15 of us, there were more than enough rooms and bathrooms. Plenty of fans to keep the place cool, a large well equipped kitchen and large lounging areas for everyone to hang out in. The pictures don’t do justice for how beautiful this place is, it looks even better in person. Also the location was perfect, there is everything you need within walking distance (grocery stores, banks, pharmacies, gyms ect.) and so many amazing places to eat within a 5-10 minute walk.

Our group of 16 have stayed at this Airbnb for the past 3yrs in a row. It's become our home from home. The Casa Alexandra is beautiful and spacious! You don't have to be on top of each other. The neighborhood is great with a lot of places to eat within walking distance. Our favorite is Elixir Spot just down the street. Walking distance to the boardwalk and Ocean. Loads of Cafes and Art district just around the corner. Strongly and Highly recommend this stay and hope to return in the years to come!

This is our third time staying here with a large group of friends. The house is a perfect fit for our needs as a group. We have tried several houses in the area, and this one is still our favorite. The individual room and house keys, multiple conversation areas, location and bay views are all HUGE positives. We love sitting on the rooftop talking and whale watching right from the roof. Easy walk to restaurants and short cab ride or walk to romantic zone. Showers are great, the upstairs bar/fridge is perfect for keeping our drinks handy and cold. We were even able to watch the NFL playoff games with the cable! WiFi can be a little tricky/iffy in the rooms, but we just logged into the primary and it worked well.

We were absolutely blown away. I honestly think the place is even more beautiful than the photos can show. I’m kind of speechless. Only issue wasn’t Manuel’s fault—just be sure if you Uber there that you’re taken to the right place. When we typed in the address multiple different Ubers took us to a spot about 6 blocks away. Also bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper (I am and earplugs were more than enough)

I cannot begin to describe how beautiful this place is & the view from the upper rooms & top level are amazing! Everyone was friendly & responsive throughout the process of booking & during the stay. As mentioned in some other reviews, there was some noise in the surroundings but nothing unexpected. Water pressure & temperature were hit & miss from one bathroom to the next but that was also easy to remedy with so many bathrooms in the property. I would absolutely stay here again!

This was the perfect place for our family holiday. There were 16 of us, which included 4 generations from age 1-79. There were enough bedrooms and very nice that each bedroom had its own private bathroom. The common spaces were great for playing games and socializing and we all enjoyed the balcony pool. Location was great, close to wonderful restaurants, beaches, and shops. While in PV, we took busses and Uber, and did lots of walking. We couldn’t have asked for a better home away from home for our group. Although it was noisy at night, we knew this beforehand and those who needed them, brought ear plugs.

What a perfect home for large groups. We were a family of 13 and there was so much room for everyone. With two large fridges on the main level we had no problem stowing all our food and drinks. Plus there is a bar fridge in the pool bar. We were so appreciative of the many bathrooms. The beds were comfortable and there was more than enough towels. We all agreed we would stay with Manuel again when visiting PV as a family. Grocery store is a short walk away and many excellent restaurants are very close. We had a small problem with the hot water and Arturo took care of it right away. Warning: the Roosters, church bells and the dogs can be disruptive if a person is easily woken up. Take earplugs or choose the downstairs bedrooms. As others have said, there is a short steep hill and my father did find he struggled. Thankfully Uber rides are plentiful and affordable. The kids thought this was the best vacation and I’m convinced it’s because we had the pool and didn’t have to go out.

This is a beautiful place. Probably not the best if you can’t walk a steep hill. The area is safe, close to the arts district, food, grocery and the sites.

This was the second time we stayed here, the first being around 5 years ago. The house is a such a unique place, so traditional, and just super cool. If you have a larger group, this place is amazing to be able to fit your entire crew in one place. We had a few less people, so everyone their own room, but most rooms have multiple beds, and I think all of them have their own bathroom. You can walk to the local grocery, and stock up on supplies, and drinks, but we ate out most of the time. I'm already looking forward to the next time of booking this place. I'd love to try the sculpting class, and to have the chef cook for you on site. I might request to cook up those roosters across the way! lol Thanks for sharing your place!

Host Response

Thank you so much for your great review. We await your return! I will keep you posted on our next workshop. Take good care!

We had a group of 15 people & the space accommodated is very well. I loved that each one of the bedrooms had a bathroom & an extra bathroom for the pool & bar area. We cook every single day at the house, the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. There was an issue with the washing machine not working properly & a leaky sink, I told Manuel about it, he had his maintenance on it, fixed in less than 24 hours. Very efficient crew. The house is located very close to the Malecon with lots of things to do within walking distance. We did go on a couple different day tours in which we called for Taxi and they always were very reliable for transportation. The hill leading up to the house is some what steep so walking up it I can see may be difficult for people with bad knees. Each room had enough blankets, pillows, closet with hangers & a safe to keep stuff locked up. Bathrooms were all stalked up with clean towels, toilet paper &bars of soap. Each room had ceiling fans & regular fans.

This house was exceptional! From the view and the pool on the roof to the help of the concierge service to get us to and from the airport, which is always fun with a large group. We even had breakfast cooked for us one day. Easily walkable to shops, restaurants and the beach. The house is beautiful on the inside and very comfortable. There were fans in every room but it was quite humid while we were there. The pool definitely helped break up the heat. Would definitely go back!

Our stay at the Casa Alexandra was exactly what we wanted and needed! Everyone wanted and needed some relaxation, and Manuel's home did not disappoint. We enjoyed nightly private sunsets, great local restaurants, a complete feeling of being safe. We especially enjoyed, Alicia our Chief who prepared a few meals for us. I would mention a walk down from the house is close and easier, but last block up to the house is steep. I mention this only because originally my younger sister was coming with us, and she would have had to call a taxi both coming up and down to town. She's young but has bad knees. The view and charm Casa Alexandra is Outstanding and Manuel is truly a superhost. He does everything to make every detail perfect. Would recomend

Clearly one of the best Airbnb host and stays! Manuel and his team were helpful, kind and went above to make sure we were taken care of. They offered help with getting to and from the airport, was quick to respond. This place is dreamy. 16 of us stayed here and never felt on top of each other. We cooked meals, relaxed, walked around and enjoyed PV life. If you get the chance, stay here!!! Hoping we get to stay here again soon!

We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay. We look forward to hosting you again!

Perfect for a large group visiting PV. The location is perfect for walking to attractions, shops and restaurants. Concierge service friendly and helpful, arranged transportation to/from airport, met us at house and gave tour of property. The house was very clean, organized and well stocked. Things to note - no air conditioning (we did not need in December) which may be noticeable in the hot summer months; location is right in PV neighborhood (included sounds of the streets, loud music, construction) which did not bother us but part of the local experience which is not quiet isolation; and the walk to Malecon is down a short steep hill which is very doable. Overall a great experience in PV and I hope to stay again in the future!

Casa Alexandra is a beautiful, traditional Mexican home, and a great place to stay for groups, with 8 bedrooms, and each with it's own bath. Plus a half bath near the rooftop pool, where you can have a cooling dip in the pool, while watching the sunsets, thanks to the amazing rooftop view of Banderas Bay! Everything was clean and well tended. And we had Alicia come in and prepare a chicken enchilda dinner for the group, which was wonderful! Having stayed in this house before, i knew that there is no AC, but ceiling fans and oscillating fans in every room. So i don't mind it. But it is definitely something you need to be prepared for, if coming in summer. I will always come back to this house!! Love everything about it!!

This home is a dream for large families! The staff that works there are amazing and very helpful. The property manager was already at the home when we arrived waiting to great us. The staff was there to make sure we had everything we needed to make our stay that much better. Very clean, very well stocked, and the best view you can ask for. My family and I loved this home and staff. I would definitely stay here again, and I highly recommend it to others!

This is a great airbnb! It was perfect for our large group of 18. Everyone had their own bed and we had plenty of common space for the entire group both inside and outside. The pool area on the roof is by far our favorite spot of the building. We also enjoyed the authentic feel and charm of the airbnb. It was a short walk to the beach and restaurants in the 5 de Diciembre neighborhood. We were also set up with a concierge service through Manuel who was able to help schedule taxis and a chef to come to the house to cook the entire group dinner. We did have slight issues with noise coming in from the streets but it did not diminish our entire experience. Would recommend!

This was our second time staying here. The good: It’s a great place in a lot of ways! It’s really close to the north end of the Malecon, only three blocks from the beach, close to the art galleries, restaurants and easy to hail a taxi. 100-150 pesos to get to the romantic zone. Great views and lots of space. The cooks, Marcela and Alicia (Celia) are WONDERFUL - they don’t speak much English, but they try and Google translate is helpful. Our concierge was very helpful in arranging travel, covid testing (they came to the house abs tested everyone!) and arranged for three ladies to come to the house and give us all massages! The views are amazing and you can see all the fireworks from the rooftop pool and patio - designate a bartender and have a blast up there! Three of the rooms have ocean views. Each room has its OWN bathroom and is it’s own suite! It’s spacious and plenty of room for all the people it holds. The not so good: The internet is a little unreliable, so maybe not the best place if you need to Zoom call for work or school, but my kid was able to do her classes. It’s definitely not a “resort” luxury experience type of place. The city can be noisy as there are no windows that fully close off to the outside world - it’s all very “authentic”. You may spot a spider or cockroach during your stay here… The beds are pretty firm but the pillows are comfy in the room we had this time. Seems most of the mattresses are pretty firm. The street it’s on is a tiny street - to walk to the beach, there’s a relatively steep hill to negotiate and there are a lot of stairs in the house. If anyone has bad knees or injuries, maybe not the best place for them. Overall the house is a GREAT value. We like staying here for the price. We may rent this place again, but we’re considering spending a bit more for a place that has more modern, luxury accommodations. For the price, though, it can’t be beat.

This house is FANTASTIC. A very traditional home for the area, it is HUGE, open air and beautiful. When I first looked at the pictures, I thought the pool would be too small for a group of 10 of us. Wrong - it was the perfect size to hangout, cool-off, and just be present with all my girlfriends. Manuel uses a property management company to manage check-in, check-out and any issues during the stay. We worked with Arturo and he was a great communicator. We had an issue with the plumbing while we were there, and Arturo sent someone out immediately and it was fixed before the end of the first night. The location is great, in the heart of everything, and a quick walk down the hill (a steep hike back up the hill!) from the Malecon with shops, restaurants, bars and, of course, the beach. I can't recommend this place highly enough. We are planning many more visits to this place in the future. Thanks, Manuel!

Casa Alejandra was an amazing stay. Our family of 14 wished we could’ve stayed longer. Very spacious and the roof top view was beautiful. Each room has its own bathroom & shower which was very nice. Location is great, close to the Malecon and market, you can walk there or order an Uber. Uber was there in a few minutes. Friendly staff was attentive. Checking in and out was a breeze and they even let us leave our luggage passed our check out time so we can do some last minute shopping before we headed out to the airport. Our family would definitely stay at Casa Alejandra again and would recommend future travelers to book a stay there.

The location is lovely, the home is immaculate and it is well situated within walking distance to the Malecon and shopping. The view from the pool area is spectacular. There is a Ley's grocery store about 10 minutes away that carries everything you could want and has a great deli. As others have stated, the church bells ringing out the hour can be bothersome when trying to sleep. We did bring earplugs and were glad we did. Also it is obvious that the casa is three stories high and does not have an elevator, so we were prepared for steps. The thing we didn't take into account is that it is up a very steep road made of cobblestones, and so walking can be difficult for those with hip or knee issues. Of course taxis are plentiful and can quickly get you down to the Malecon. Otherwise I would advise bringing along your trekking pole if you plan to walk a lot and have any old leg injuries that might flare up!

Our family of 19 spent 2 weeks here over Christmas and were very pleased with the accomodations. 8 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms gave us room for all. We range in age from 3 to 66 and we had to keep an eye on the 3 year olds because of the pool. But worth it. All of us loved having a pool...no need to go to the sandy beach. The view is amazing, the help is very quick to respond and thehouse is beautiful. That said, if you are looking for peace and quiet, go to a hotel or resort. This is a true Mexican neighborhood with a rooster, barking dogs, music and kids playing soccer in the street. I loved feeling like a native, but its not for everyone. We saw fireworks every night of Christmas week...magical from the roof deck. Manuel's artistry gives the home a special feeling. My daughter in law, who arrived before we did, texted me to say "This house is amazing!" I have to agree. My 5 year old granddaughter wants to live there when she grows up. It was the perfect place for our clan.

The house is outstanding. We did a family reunion at this place and it was perfect, we enjoyed every second of it, the rooms are very private and clean. The attentions from the host were perfect we asked to have massages and they send us someone, they send you all kind of information in case you want to do different activities. The place have all the amenities that we needed it to cook and enjoy your stay as is like your own home. The house was so comfy and amazing that we spent more of our time inside, but it's also handy to be 2 blocks away from the malecon and all the restaurants, stores, cafes, bars, etcetera. The only inconvenience would be the noise from the neighborhood but you get use to it and its not that big deal it's kind of nice to be waking up with bells from the church. We are so grateful we rented this place.

This amazing and beautiful villa went far beyond our expectations. Traveled with a large group of family and they all loved the enormous space, location, Rooftop pool/ view and every single vintage detail this house provided. Our hosts were super friendly to the point that it felt like family. We will definitely make a strong attempt to return to Puerto Vallarta soon and when we do, this villa will be our choice of stay!!!! Cheers from Chicago :)

Great value, great place and a great time! We came down to PV for a family wedding and had a great stay at Manuels place. We loved how the villa is a part of the neighborhood. Roosters in the morning = check. Church bells every 15 minutes = check. If you want a sterile condo on the beach, this isn’t the place. If you want a large, authentic villa in the heart of the city this is it! Our favorite aspects of the villa= 1) walking distance to the Malecon and all the restaurants of Old Town; 2) the pool area upstairs. This was our primary meeting place and we spent 90% of our non-sleeping hours in the villa up here. 3) view was awesome; 4) we had a cook come in and cook a dinner for us that was great!

The Casa was everything we were hoping for. Lots of space, great views, pool, etc. The only downside is the noise from the street. And the church bells, although we got used to them.

This lovely artist's hacienda has it all: spacious bedrooms, lots of bathrooms, a great kitchen, several rooms to lounge/hangout in, a pool on the beautiful terrace with an amazing view of the city & ocean! It's centrally located; a short walk uphill and within walking distance to everything, so no need to rent a car. An added bonus is the amazing restaurants just around the corner! Note: the hacienda has only shutters on the windows and no window panes, so sounds and the ocean breeze flow freely through the house (including the local church bells that chime throughout the day/night)--if you're sensitive to sound, pack earplugs & you'll be fine! Arturo is a kind & attentive concierge and is easy to coordinate with, and Alicia is a great cook! I will be recommending this jewel to friends/family traveling to Vallarta & will be back!

The Good - this place is spacious and great for large groups. Each of the 8 bedrooms comes with its own set of keys, so people can come and go as they please. The rooftop is the best part. We went with 3 families and a total of 12 people. It was so big the kids had a fun time playing hide and seek in the place. We also hired the cook(s) (two women) for 2 nights of dinner. The meals were great and it was nice to come home from a day at the beach (or whatever) and come in to the smell of a fresh meal being prepared. They set the table, cooked the meal, and cleaned up. We tipped them for their great service. The Bad - the noise. This place is very open and it is in a noisy neighborhood. It was sometimes hard to sleep because of it. People honking their horns, roosters crowing, church bells ringing nearly non-stop, etc. Be prepared for this with earplugs and noise machines. The other downside to it being so open is that it has no air conditioning. This wasn't a problem for us as we went in February and the weather was great, but if you stay here in warmer months, just know you won't have an A/C.

The location, size, layout, and ambience of Casa Alexandra is excellent! Beautiful sunsets from the rooftop terrace while lounging in the pool, mixing a drink at the rooftop bar, swinging in hammocks... such a relaxing time! A few notes to know what to expect: not all of the bathroom doors close all of the way. This isn't a huge problem because each room has its own private bathroom. Not all of the shutters close all the way, or stay closed. Depending on how private your group wants to be, that might be a concern. And the neighborhood is very traditional Mexican, which yes, means roosters crowing and happy stray dogs chillin' outside and church bells merrily marking the hours. It might also mean your neighbors having a Sunday afternoon toke in the back of their truck, or random people pulling up and parking at 5:00 AM to party with their music at about 80 decibels. This did not adversely affect our time there - we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly! - but it's important to know what to expect!

If you have a large group, you can't ask for a better place than this one. 8 bedrooms with a variety of different bed configurations to choose from. Large dining space, a killer rooftop area to socialize, hit the pool, cook, etc. Tons of glassware for drinks, and it appears to be plenty of stuff to cook with, but we ate out. If we do PV next year, we'd highly consider this place again!

It was a pleasure to stay at Casa Alejandra. Very conveniently located close to everything in Vallarta. We had some issues with the WiFi connectivity as there were 13 of us trying to connect and work but normal use should be great. Cannot say enough about the hospitality we experienced. We inquired if Alicia (the housekeeper) could help us pick up some groceries, and before we knew it, they were right there! Top notch experience, would highly recommend and stay here again.
