Great home base for exploring Oaxaca, 10-15min walk from the city center. Check in and communication with the host was a breeze. The home is surrounded by great food and right next door is a Cafe where you can get some breakfast. Taxis are everywhere in Oaxaca so transportation isn't an issue. The pool was a nice escape from the mid day heat, and the view from the roof was absolutely amazing. Would definitely return again.

This was a great spot for our time exploring Oaxaca! It's just a few steps from great restaurants and bars and only a few minutes further to the center of town. The patio and rooftop pool were a hit with my group and all the spaces were clean and spacious. It was awesome having bathrooms for everyone (plus a few extras).

Our stay in Oaxaca was made all the better by our experience with Grupo Bendicion's help. The communication was fantastic, and they were so helpful with amy requests we had. Assisted in setting up a return taxi to the airport. Fatima welcomed us into the property and gave us a thorough walk through. She couldn't have been any sweeter in welcoming us into Oaxaca. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Very quick walk from the rental to the Centro of town. Thank you again for making our stay so special!

Great place in a slightly quieter location but if you’re willing to walk 10 to 15 minutes, you can reach anywhere in town. Check-in was great and wonderful responsiveness. Would recommend staying again.

Lovely home with an outstanding host. We highly recommend the space. So close to so many of Oaxaca's main attractions and neighborhoods. The terrace view is outstanding. As others have noted, the swimming pool was far too cool in December to be of any use. A few more rugs would have been nice. But overall, a fantastic stay!

Amazing three-level home tucked off of the main centro, super clean, check in was a breeze. They held our luggage before and after check in. Great for three couples and the rooftop patio was magical! Will definitely recommend to others.

Large newly renovated home with plenty of space and beautiful views. Loved that it had a security camera with multiple screens in living room, perfect for waiting for your taxi / tour shuttles arrival. Safe area, walkable to restaurants. So friendly and responsive whenever we had questions. So happy we stayed here. Only request , I wish they would add a small washer/ dryer.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home in Oaxaca! The place was clean, comfortable, and perfect for a family getaway. The views were stunning, especially in the mornings, and the pool was such a relaxing spot to unwind after exploring the city. The host was friendly, welcoming, and made sure we had everything we needed. Overall, a great experience — we’d definitely stay here again!

Arnulfo's place is amazing. The rooftop patio and pool was a great lounging area and we loved seeing the city at night or day. Sunrise and sunsets were beautiful as well. However, the main highlight was meeting Arnulfo and his kindness/amazing hosting abilities. Responded to everything we asked about and helped us with transportation logistics. The beds were SUPER comfortable and we all were well rested. It's pretty toddler proof as well if you're worried about that. Lots of great restaurants nearby and far enough to be super quiet. If you're bringing a stroller, get ready for some cobblestone in the city! Will definitely recommend to others in the future/when we return! Thank you for being such an awesome host Arnulfo!

Wonderful beautiful home in Oaxaca. Amazing, responsive and friendly host who met us late in the evening to check us in. On the edge of town with a short 10 minute walk to town square. Pool and stunning deck were great!

Our family had a wonderful stay. The house is gorgeous and better than the pictures, and the location was great for us. It's easily walkable to the centro but just outside of the busiest stretches. The house is spacious and well appointed, and the kitchen has everything you might need. The decor feels special and well considered. Our kids spent the mornings at the wonderful Becari language school, which is a 5min walk away, and the fast wi-fi made it easy for us to work remotely for part of the day. The pool was a great amenity in the hotter afternoon. There are a number of sweet cafes and restaurants very easily walkable from the house, and there is an awesome coffee shop right next door. Finally, Arnulfo was a wonderful host! He was so helpful and connected us to an airport pickup, tour drivers, and best of all his aunt who is an amazing chef and cooked a memorable dinner for us. We are already planning another trip!

It’s walking distance from all the night life and the restaurants too. Great location! Rooftop pool was awesome ☺️

Clean and well located house. We stayed here as 4 adults and our 3 year old son, and it was great for us. The house was cool and the pool (while very cold) was very much appreciated in April's daytime heat. Would come back again

Our family and friends had a lovely stay at this gorgeous home. The kids swam every day, and the pool was perfect for our 10- and 6-year-olds. The house is extremely walkable to everything in the city, with a coffee shop next door and a local market just a few blocks away. Arnulfo was extremely responsive and helped to organize our airport transport and a delicious home-cooked dinner at the Airbnb on our last day. I highly recommend this home!

Armulfo was a lovely host, responsive and shared recommendations on nearby restaurants. The house was perfect for our 5 person group’s 3 day stay on Oaxaca.

The location of the house is excellent, towards quite cold and they supported us with extra blankets, we contracted daily cleaning and they were very helpful, we did not take advantage of the pool area because it is not heated and in winter it is quite cold, in general everything is quite good!

Great location with beautiful views of town. You can even see the ruins atop Monte Albán and Atzompa from the rooftop terrace. Very walkable to the activities and restaurants in the city center.

We had an amazing experience at Casa Penasco as a group of 4 to Oaxaca! The customer service we received from Arnulfo was top notch! The house is stunning and is located in a perfect spot to easily walk to Centro and overall felt very safe. Arnulfo gave us several local recommendations and helped us find an awesome driver who took care of us all weekend. All of the rooms were very spacious and clean with plenty of linens/towels; the only downside we had in the master was the sound of neighboring dogs a few hours each night. It wasn’t unbearable but did wake us up a couple of times.

Casa Peñasco is beautiful, super spacious and ideal for a trip with friends. The pool terrace is perfect for a chat afternoon and then walking only a few blocks to dine in one of the excellent restaurants in downtown Oaxaca. Arnulfo's attention was top, always looking out for us. I would definitely come back ✨

This is a great place to stay in Oaxaca! Close to many great restaurants and a short walk to all of the sites in Centro Oaxaca, but the street is quiet. Arnulfo is a friendly and gracious host. We really enjoyed the house, especially the pool and having morning coffee on the rooftop patio.

Arnulfo’s place is conveniently located in a neighborhood street just a few short blocks from the heart of Oaxaca City with stores, restaurants, galleries, etc. Rooms are spacious and hotel quality amenities in every room and bathroom, including views from everywhere. The 3rd floor pool and lounge area are a gem overlooking the city. Definitely recommend if staying in Oaxaca!

Truly fantastic house and even a better host. The house is clean and beautiful. The rooftop and rooftop pool truly enhanced our trip. It was a great place to high at night and during the hottest hours of the day. The powerful AC made the house a wonderful oasis. Our host, Arnulfo, made himself extremely available during our entire stay, including help arranging our driver to the airport and recommendations on shopping and restaurants.

House is beautifully decorated and it was impeccable. Pool was on the rooftop with wonderful views. Like any home in a busy city, there will be noise so bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. Owner was very friendly and super patient after our flight got delayed 3 times. Loved the house! Will definitely recommend to other people!

Our Airbnb experience was exceptional. The host was incredibly nice, kind, and always responsive. The house itself was impeccably clean, comfortable and beautifully designed. Its central location made exploring the city a breeze, with restaurants and the centro within walking distance. The rooftop amenities – pool, hot tub, and breathtaking views of the town – were the cherry on top of an already wonderful stay. Highly recommended!

Arnulfo was a great host. His house is in a great location in Oaxaca city and almost next door to an amazing coffee shop, Caracol Purpura. There is also a lovely bakery around the corner called Campesino Panderia for morning pastries.

There aren't enough postive things to say about this house and Arnulfo as a host. Before we even arrived Arnulfo was extremely responsive to any messages I sent and answered any questions. He noticed we were traveling with a baby and even offered to have a portable crib set up for us upon our arrival. When we arrived he greeted us at the house and gave us a tour making our check-in process the easiest we have ever experienced. He even gave us great food recommendations that were walking distance from the house like Humar and the mercado. The house is even more beautiful in person and you can tell every design detail was carefully thought out. The rooftop patio and pool were perfect for relaxing at the end of the day. The house was exceptionally clean. The location is central to everything. At most we walked 30 minutes to reach Jalatlaco or Xochimilco, but everything you need is close by. We loved our trip to Oaxaca and will definitely stay here again.

Arnulfo is the nicest guy you will meet in Oaxaca. His house is only a few months old. It has everything you need and it all works as well as any place you will find in the USA or Europe. Good air conditioning (although we didn't really need it most of the time). Fast WiFi. Beautiful pool. And the view from the roof is amazing. Good coffee is two doors away. Good paletas are just a couple of blocks. And, if you like seafood, Humar is absolutely amazing (one and a half blocks). Also, the garage is great and spacious. We will be back.

The family and I very much enjoyed our stay. The place is even nicer than the photos. The pool was amazing and the south facing roof deck overlooking the city and mountains was a family favorite. Arnulfo was really responsive and helpful.

The house is perfect for large families, we were 5 + a baby and we were satisfied. We walked downtown without any problems. Very clean but the only downside was the delay in leaving it ready for us even after her check-in time we were already there waiting. Other than that very well! If we did something expensive for what it was and because of the size of the interior but at the same time we had a very full itinerary and we did not take advantage of the whole house other than to sleep. Ideal for families that are going to stay there most of their stay.

Arnulfo's place was very clean, spacious and the patio was a great place to hang out. The pool was not warm because the nights were still cool. One person in our group did take a quick plunge. We did not have a coffee maker and Arnulfo was quick to go buy one and drop it off, also he brought us a couple of blankets for the cool evenings. He was a very gracious host and was very easy to communicate with. I would definitely recommend his place to anyone visiting Oaxaca.

What a place! This is an absolute gem in Oaxaca. It was incredibly spacious (we had 6), and the view from the roof is unbeatable (we watched parades and sunsets from up there daily). Arnulfo met us when we arrived to give us the tour even though we arrived in the evening. He was so friendly, and continued to check in in us after the fact. Finally, the location was prime (minutes from great restaurants and cafes).

This place is awesome! We spent New Year’s at Arnulfo’s place and the view for the fireworks was amazing, we had the chance to see the fireworks not only from Oaxaca but from the whole valley. The place is well located, a few steps away from most of the things to do in downtown Oaxaca, the neighborhood is quiet and there are some Coffee shops and bakeries around. The cherry on top was the pool with the great view from the terrace. Arnulfo was very responsive and always attentive to any need. If you plan to spend some days in Oaxaca, this is the place!
