A few nice and relaxing days of rest... We were comfortable and had a great time with Patty and Tony's service. We'll be back.

Casa Sisal is an ideal place to rest and disconnect from the world. The beach, just a few steps from the house, is amazing; there are also kayaks for enjoying peaceful mornings when there are no waves, which allows you to paddle safely. Although the house is a bit far from the village, it's not difficult to get there. There's internet (which you won't need if you want to enjoy the experience) and enough rooms for a large family. Guillermo recommended some wonderful tours where we were able to see flamingos in their natural habitat. Oh, and I almost forgot, we saw dolphins swimming by in the ocean, right in front of the house! Incredible! Thank you so much, Guillermo, for your hospitality. You have a fantastic house, with a great pool and all the amenities, which are very enjoyable. I would definitely go back. 😎

We had a wonderful stay in Guillermo’s house. It is a beautiful house in a tranquil location right on a lovely beach with only an occasional neighbor walking past. Patty and.Tonino were on site the whole time to cook and clean and take care of everything we needed, so that our stay here was truly effortless. Guillermo was quick to respond to any questions and gave us helpful suggestions on activities in the area. Thanks for a memorable week in Sisal!

The place is exactly as shown in the pictures. However, the road to get there is very rough, so a 4x4 vehicle is highly recommended. We rented a Kia Sedona and ended up getting a flat tire on our way back to Mérida. Communication with Guillermo was excellent — he was very attentive and responsive. That said, the listing mentions a “chef,” but it is actually a cook. At first, we were told they could handle groceries based on the menu they provided, but later I was asked to send quantities, brands, and a full product list for them to shop. Since this message came shortly before our arrival while I was traveling, I didn’t see it in time and had to order the groceries online myself. I wasn’t completely sure what was needed for the proposed menu, so I bought what I could, and they prepared meals with the ingredients available not the menu proposed. Our stay was for the thanksgiving break and the weather was awful very windy and cold making almost impossible to enjoy the beach and the pool.

Host Response

Unbelievable that someone would give 3 stars for bad weather! It's unbelievable that someone would give 3 stars because they didn't get the super when it's NOT our responsibility! It's incredible that someone would give 3 stars to a house that they loved, but because the GUEST didn't answer, a message in 4 days, being responsible... it's annoying! There are definitely people who, with their negativity, everything goes wrong!!! That's why they got bad weather, that's why the tire got punched, that's why the supermarket put 50 jalapeños in their purchase! From the menu that was proposed, I didn't buy a single ingredient!

Excellent service from Guillermo and the two people who help out at the house: Brenda and Charly. The place is wonderful, the house is in excellent condition, a spectacular view of the sea, the pool is very enjoyable. Everything is wonderful. Bring everything from Merida, and it's worth stopping to buy frozen seafood in Sisal, before going to the house, because the return is a little tiring, since you easily lose a couple of hours, since the road is unpaved and you have to go a little slow.

The days at Casa Sisal were wonderful. The house is very nice, the beach is spectacular, but the best part was having Carlos and Brenda, they really are a treasure. Extremely friendly and helpful, they try to surprise and exceed all expectations, they treated us like royalty, we will definitely miss them. We also really enjoyed being able to use the kayaks, the sea in the morning is very calm and it is perfect for using them. A very important tip is to bring insect repellent.

Casa Sisal is an amazing property, beautiful modern open house with stunning views, the beach and the ocean are very peaceful and private we did not see anybody our whole stay, the kids enjoyed the paddle boards and kayaks. The palapa is great for an afternoon drink while watching the sunset. Carlos and Brenda were very nice and helpful, everything they prepared to eat was very good, from morning chilaquiles to seasoned grilled fish. Internet was fast. We will definitley be going back!

It's worth it, the house is just as shown in the photos. Brenda and Charly's service is EXCEPTIONAL. Definitely one of the highlights of the place. The beach is very quiet, there are almost no waves so the children can enjoy the kayaks that are in the house. A very private and quiet place, we only saw one or two other people walking along the beach. There is a 10 km dirt road to get there, but once in the house you don't need to leave at all. You have to bring food and everything you need from Merida, as there is nothing nearby to buy.

Truly amazing place, more beautiful than the photos. The ocean views from inside are spectacular from the moment you arrive. The pool is super and the beautiful beach is right there. The design is very cool, this is a luxurious property all around. Carlos and Brenda, the on site staff, were kind and took care of everything. We really enjoyed their healthy and flavorful cooking. Guillermo was responsive and his suggestions are spot on. Bring lots of food and ingredients from Mérida, and they will prepare it wonderfully. Highly recommended!

I’ll start by saying the host and staff are beyond kind and accommodating. The house is beautiful, primary bed is comfortable and the sounds as well as views of nature are unmatched here. They provide paddle boards, kayaks, board games, towels and the ocean is beyond still when you have good weather. The unfortunate side is the drive to the house is not for the weak. Once you get to the dirt road after Sisal, there are massive pot holes for around 30 mins so make sure you take Dramamine. There is literally nothing other than filtered water at the house. Bringing EVERYTHING for a meal is an understatement, the chef cooks whatever you bring but if you don’t bring it, there’s no close stores. Although the windows have screens, close them before sunset or else small black bugs will be all over your bed. Lastly, if there is wind, it is not quiet. The open concept creates a whirlwind effect and is hard to sleep through. Overall, just plan accordingly and you’ll have a great time!

My family and I had a great time at Guillermo's place! The house was modern, I liked that all windows had screens so you could have a breeze but keep buys out, but the best part was how secluded it was! We only ever saw one couple walking on the beach, otherwise it felt extremely private. Nice white sands and a ton of shells, which were fun to collect. Plenty of activities to do at the house from volleyball, kayaking, paddleboarding, stargazing, and board games. Carlos and Brenda were amazing, we came up with a menu and bought the ingredients in Merida, and they cooked for us, very delicious and helpful! Would stay again!

We had a beautiful vacation and the truth is that everything is as described, you feel as if you were on a private island haha, so that's why it's very important to do the supermarket in Merida as Guillermo recommends. Brenda and Charly are the people who took care of us at the house, they went above and beyond with their kindness and attention, Brenda's cooking is delicious. The last stretch to get to the house is a dirt road. I recommend arriving during the day. I had to do it at night and because I'm a bit of a scaredy cat, I was afraid of not seeing well haha. We arrived safely and left safely. The sea was delightful and they had a super kayak. I highly recommend the place.

The place is really beautiful , you will have a magical beach and comfortable stay with lots of privacy. Arriving at the place is what takes too long because of the road, but if you are not planning to go out it's perfect. The house, the staff and the surroundings are all great. Recommend eating breakfast in the terrace and not missing the breathtaking sunsets in the beach, the staff can bring you all kinds of snacks to the plam roof. Guillermo was an amazing host since we booked the house, being really attentive to the details.

Casa Sisal is everything you describe and a little more. Simply a paradise in the Yucatan Peninsula. The house is perfect, the photographs do not lie, the staff that has the house make sure you spend impeccable days, food, service, cleaning. Everything is amazing. I assure you you will not regret staying at this property.

The place is paradise and allows for very pleasant privacy! A short walk to the beach, and the view is breathtaking. However, I would recommend guests to equip themselves well before their stay. Some items from the description were missing (e.g., salt, pepper, oil, coffee). In addition, there are no paper towels (nor any kitchen linens and rags available to clean), no refill toilet paper, water, etc. So remember to bring everything you would need sinceit is difficult to get supplies nearby. When it comes to the housekeeping service, we’re actually talking about a little help with the dishes and beds made up once a day. It's the perfect place to unwind, but you'll need to be very well-equipped!

Spectacular home! Excellent host! Amazing staff! You will be in heaven at this fantastic home. You will not be disappointed. Guillermo was exceptional in always responding and super helpful. Yuri and her staff were amazing and helped tremendously. Everything was perfect. Can’t emphasize enough the recommendation from Guillermo to stop for provisions in Merida. Must pack more than you think you need. Our stay was magical. Would recommend over and over!

The house is very nice, large, clean, comfortable as described, with private beach. We were very comfortable with my family Guillermo was always attentive and immediately responding to some needs we had. Yuri and Emi, they supported us with the cleaning and in the preparation of food, very attentive, resolving us at the moment. The only thing was the arrival, the road is terrasia, and for the rain it's very bumpy, I hope you can fix it, but that would correspond to the municipality.

We knew the location was going to be beautiful, from the accurate description and pictures, but nothing can prepare you from experiencing the home and location in person. Exceptional tranquility, stress free living, even if for a short while. Excellent care from the dual housekeeping and chef services. If you stay you MUST have seafood prepared by the superb cooks. Have already recommended this place to family and friends and would absolutely return.

A destination to be quiet and relax. The view and scenery from the house is unbeatable. The house in perfect condition, ideal pool as a good temperature. There is an elevated palapa where you can spend the sunset or have a drink while watching the sea and hear the breeze. Optimal air-conditioning for when you want to cool off from the intense heat. Janet and Felipe (in-house partners) help you with cleaning and cooking. A very important fact is that if you do not bring a car, it is imperative to do the supermarket in Merida with everything you need for your stay, since it is very difficult to get something once at the house. Janet can get fish and seafood that she knows how to cook very well. We enjoyed it so much and highly recommend it

The house is really in a great location. Views and beach is exactly as shown in the photos. Animals and even turtles in the shore. However the house maintenance is not optimal and the staff does what they can. Multiple opportunities for improvement, especially if you're traveling with children. Mosquitoes require repellent and air can be annoying, but also a soda, when it's very hot.

Host Response

The place is spectacular! The view and the beach are beautiful, a dream. The house is quite equipped, and above all the company and attention of the couple who live there is exceptional, the food that jeanette makes exquisite jeanette. The only thing we struggled a bit was getting to the house as the map didn't show us the exact route. Additional that there is a certain time of the day where many zanducos leave and the only way to scare them is to keep you in the house with the windows/closed doors losing your beautiful view. In conclusion, of course I would go back. It's 100% worth it

Guillermo the host was very responsive and helpful and always answered all my questions. Upon arrival we were a bit confused with the location and I called Guillermo and he was able to guide us through on how to get there. The house itself comes with a chef, Jeanette which is a plus. Felipe was very helpful , on top of things and friendly as well. He provided us with everything we needed. They are honestly some hard working individuals, that provided the best service ever. The house is the same as described and the photos don’t do any justice. There’s nothing near by, which was perfect for us. My family and I just wanted a place where we can sit back and relax, enjoy the pool and the beach & this was the place for us. For some reason there wasn’t any additional toilet paper, usually in each Airbnb I’ve stayed in provides extra toilet paper, Jeanette & Felipe were kind enough to give us some of theirs. We definitely will be coming back soon!! :))

The stay is amazing and matches their description. The place is super nice to spend a few days on the beach and the service they provide is very good, the cook cooks delicious. However, it is important to clarify that the house is 45 minutes from the center of Sisal and is pure terracer, so it has to be considered bringing everything necessary to prevent having to go out to buy the village (food, water, etc.). On the other hand, independent of the house, the area has many mosquitoes, so you must if or if, bring repellent and be very careful in the evenings so that they do not bite you. Other than that, the place is sensational, you are in the middle of nature and the views are amazing.

The house is very nice and nice, located in a wonderful place. The service from Diana and Emanuel (the people who took care of us in the house) was the best. My family and I had a great time!

Casa Sisal is paradise! We had a wonderful 5 days with our family at the house during Easter and it was magical. We were looking for somewhere to escape, and take a break with our 3 boys and the grandparents too. We weren’t looking for activities other than a pool & the beach, so this was perfect. The sea and bird life is spectacular, we even had the privilege of seeing stingrays in the waters off the beach. The paddle boards were popular with the boys and in the afternoons when the wind picked up, having the option of the pool was great. The beach is wonderful, full of shells but also sandy. Waters are shallow & warm. Diana & Emmanuel, the staff were fantastic. Two important things to consider: make sure you take food and water for your entire trip. There are NO shops nearby, so as long as you’re prepared, then it’s no problem. It’s easy to underestimate how much water you need. Secondly, the house comfortably sleeps 6, any other guests will have to sleep on inflatables.

We had a wonderful time! The house is beautiful as are the pool and the beach. It is 35 minutes from the town of Sisal down a dirt road, but well worth the effort to get there. There is a nice caretaker couple living on the property who cook and make the beds. Bring ingredients as you will not want to leave to shop. However, for a fee (400 pesos) someone will go to the store for you. Also, you can have fresh seafood delivered- ask the cooks (who do not speak English).

All I can say in words is little, like describing paradise? It's worth every minute in this villa, every day was better than the previous one! From the moment you arrive, you have been surprised by a secluded path that has its final prize. No one's here, just pelicans, flamingos and other wildlife, absolute privacy, relaxation, silence and relaxation! The house is a work of art, rationalist design mixed with the Mayan culture of Yucatecan Caribbean! Entire chukum covered with large open spaces and direct to the sea. Pool, BBQ... everything! At night you can see the whole firmament, the Milky Way, taking a walk on the beach or enjoying a dinner or drinks on the palapa! As an extra, we were taken care of by the housekeeper and her husband, they make a perfect stay, always attentive and helpful; everything was always clean and ready. They've cooked typical Mexican dishes, lots of fruit, and fruit drinks with sugar-free waters! We will repeat 100% Congratulations CasaSisal for everything, even my future wedding!

Our family had a fantastic stay at Guillermo’s place! What a beautiful location. We had all we needed to have an enjoyable time.

Guillermo's house is the ideal place to enjoy nature to the fullest; vegetation, land and marine fauna, spectacular birds, all from the absolute comforts offered by this place! Great views from tomorrow to late afternoon and unique starry nights! The privacy is total and a sober and elegant architecture that harmonizes with the beauty of the environment is appreciated. The house is remarkable! It's surprising that rooms can be completely darkened by just closing the blinds, ensuring a full night's sleep at any hour! The kitchen has all the accessories to make from a simple meal to a feast. The facilities and attention offered by Guillermo, the details and accessories he has left at home are unbeatable. Nothing is missing! It shows a real commitment to make this an unforgettable experience! It's like being at a friend's house! Super recommended!!!!
