2BR Villa in Roatan

Jane

Excellent, 6 months ago

We very much enjoyed our stay in Gary’s home! Great company (neighbors) and beautiful home well stocked with everything we needed. Natalia is a fabulous manager. She always helped right away with anything we needed! She also has a great Scuba diving and tour company that we used a few times and would highly recommend. Scuba Nomad is their name. Pedro is the grounds keeper and was so helpful and such a hard worker! Thank you everyone for having us! Jane & Wade

This is the second time we have stayed at Gary’s place. This time, we came with another family that rented one of the other villas. We loved the common pool, the gated property, and quick access to the dock, beach, and snorkeling. We had a great time, again, and will definitely be back.

Gary's place is pure magic. Gorgeous view, beautiful house , fantastic snorkeling right off the beach and good restaurants within walking distance. There are 3 rentals villas and one neighbor on the property (who we did not see besides the initial hello's) - we enjoyed renting the villas with our friends and having kids hang out together in the pool. Just enough privacy and space to come together. Natalie - the caretaker made us feel right at home and made great recommendations. We loved every minute of our stay. Highly recommend getting a chef service at the villa by Jennie Mann - she makes excellent food and it is a treat not having to set up or clean up thereafter. Stores in West bay are a short driving distance away. Stowaway, Drunken Sailor and Ipanema (especially their French bakery) were dining highlights. But the highlight of our trip was diving with Octopus Dive School who took great care of us and our teen's first dive experience. We cannot wait to come back.

Gary’s Villa is a true gem – ocean views, lush landscaping, and a prime location. It’s a turn from the paved street, making it easy to drive in and out and for an extended stay. Everything is well maintained so you’ll feel right at home from the moment you arrive. Natalia managed the Villa during our stay. She was proactive in communicating with us and she incidentally manages one of the best tour companies on the island, Scuba Nomad Roatan. Friendly neighbors add to the welcoming atmosphere. The villa is thoughtfully furnished for comfort, with ceiling fans even in the en suite bathrooms. You’ll find blackout drapes in the bedrooms. No roosters, so you can actually sleep in! Copious seating inside and out. Since we do occasional cooking, the well equipped kitchen has more than was listed during our stay—a blender, a toaster and lots of cookware. We enjoyed the private pier and excellent restaurants a short walk away.

The Villas are very nice, although I do not recommend it for quite large families (+10), if the goal is to spend together then they will be separated there, but if this is not their case there is no problem. Everything is very nice and we had a great time at the place however there are only three things that I do not recommend: 1. The beach in front is not good for bathing 2. It is overwhelming too many rules in the house 3. separate energy charging is somewhat uncomfortable and off the beaten path.

This place was lovely. For this family trip we ended up in 2 different villas which we weren’t expecting. Beautiful location, lovely shaded pool. My complaints were one dishwasher wasn’t working and we cooked a lot so for a vacation there was a lot of doing dishes. And the other villa had no ac upstairs. Between both villas we paid $500 for our ac bill. We turned it off when we weren’t there, so it’s pricey. We would return but with slight hesitation.
