Beautiful place stay! The house was amazing and unique, the perfect place for a relaxing getaway. Each bedroom was beautifully designed, the hammocks in each room were a wonderful touch. The pool was sparkling and cleaned each day. During the morning hours we got to watch the monkeys and iguanas all from the comfort of this home. The host, Carlos, was very responsive, he provided us with an amazing house tour and some great local recommendations. Definitely recommend this stunning home for your next vacation!

Carlos is a wonderful host — super responsive, communicative, and welcoming (loved the fruit bowl he left for us!). The home is charming and full of personality: unique artwork, a creative layout, and great lighting and fixtures. Not a cookie-cutter rental at all. A couple of honest notes: it's an older home, so if you're after something brand-new and absolutely immaculate, this isn't the spot. But we wanted to feel like we were staying in a real home in Mexico, and that's exactly what we got. The kitchen was a bit light on accessories, but everything else was well provided. Recommended for travelers who want character and authenticity over a sterile rental.

The house was amazing from everywhere inside and out, it will leave you in awe. Location was great and just 10 - 15 min away from 5th St. in Playa del Carmen Would definitely stay here again.

The garden with the pool is splendid: lush, peaceful, with birds chirping and iguanas basking in the sun... Secure and calm. We would have been happy to stay there for several weeks! Carlos was an incredible host. Very responsive and helpful - genuinely kind! The house was fantastic. Very comfortable and we felt perfectly safe and cozy. The backyard is the standout here. It’s lush and private. The pool is cleaned daily and perfect for cooling off before and after the beach. We saw spider monkeys, an array of birds and many iguanas, all over morning coffee! A magical week.

The house is located on a street exit on Xsense logo from 307 highway. Need to follow the exact instructions from Carlos to avoid getting lost from 307 highway. It has easy drive accesses to all X parks. The house is located inside a gate in a safe area. Every bedroom is so spacious with its own bathroom. The design of the house is so unique with beautiful lighting. The pool is clean and beautiful at night. The laundry room is a plus since we need clean swimming suits everyday. Carlos is very friendly to greet us in front of the house and gave us a tour of the house. He even prepared a welcome fruit baskets. He was also very responsive with some minor issues. Our family had a great time there. We will definitely go back again if we visit the city next time.

We had an excellent, 8 day stay at Carlos’ place. He is an excellent communicator and responsive to questions and needs that we had; he met us on arrival and gave us the information we needed to get our vacation started. The house was very comfortable and charming and exactly what we wanted in a stay. The air conditioning in the bedrooms kept the temperatures comfortable for sleeping for those used to the midwest. Located inside a gated and walled small community, our family always felt safe at the home. The location is excellent as a base to explore nearby attractions, such as Xplor, Xel-ha, Cenote tours, and the Mayan ruins in Tulum or Chichen Itza. I highly recommend Carlos’ house for those looking for a great place to relax, and explore the Mayan Riviera.

We had a wonderful time at Carlos’s place. There were lot of animals coming around (Monkeys, Iguana, Birds), which made us feel alone in the jungle!

We had the pleasure of staying at Carlos' house in Playa del Carmen. The house is beautiful and very well maintained. Carlos made sure to explain everything to us and the house was easy to find. The description of the house is accurate to the photos. The place is safe, quiet, private and full of nature and wildlife. My family and I recommend this house 100%!!! We already have plans to return again.

Our group of 8 stayed at Carlos' house for four nights, and each night was a perfect experience. The house is fully equipped with all the necessary facilities and daily essentials, and the cleanliness was exceptional. The swimming pool was very clean, and the four bedrooms in the house were uniquely designed, offering different living experiences. My personal favorite was the one on the top floor. The house is located within a gated community with several secure entrances, very safe. The location is excellent, within walking distance to Xcaret Park and Xplor Park, and it's also quick and convenient to get to Carmen, where you can find amazing food. Carlos was fantastic. He confirmed our travel well in advance and waited for us at the house on the day of check-in. He greeted us with a welcome fruits and gave us a detailed room tour, making us feel at home. Trust me, this place is worth your choice!

An amazing house! Our family had a blast! I have three young girls and they loved the house so much. The location is perfect, 5 minutes from everything. Super close to Main attractions. The house is very clean, cozy, beautiful and full of charm and character. Carlos is an excellent host, extremely helpful and generous. We really appreciated everything he did to make our stay enjoyable. Will 100% be back.

Carlos's house was absolutely beautiful. He designed it himself and it shows -- there is so much wonderful detail in every corner. The pool was lovely and the rooms were bright and airy. The house has easy access by car to lots of beaches and cenotes, and is a five-minute drive to a supermarket. We saw in another review that Carlos's son is a chef, and so we asked him to do a dinner for 20 people and it was simply perfect. We had a great time.

Carlos was so responsive and gave recommendations to beautiful beaches and delicious restaurants. A bonus was that we were SO close to nearby Xcaret and downtown. It’s the perfect location! We had everything we needed for a wonderful holiday. We would highly recommend for your next visit to Playa Del Carmen.

This is an amazingly designed and spacious house with fabulous jungle surroundings featuring daily opportunity to marvel at iguanas, monkeys, birds, and butterflies. Carlos was very kind and speedily responsive to a few requests we had throughout the week. We appreciated his navigation instructions (follow them, not the map!). For our week-long stay doing lots of home cooking, we found the kitchen to be a bit under-stocked, but we managed, and a large grocery store is within a 10-minute drive. We were disappointed to learn the “hot tub” advertised is not hot. Fortunately the kids loved the pool during the warm sunny daytime. Additionally, the AC in each bedroom made even the warmest humid days very comfortable. If space, privacy, and a natural environment is what you’re after, this place is a win…if you seek more upscale and refined accommodations, look elsewhere. Thank you, Carlos!

The house was beautiful, we used the pool every day, each room has its own private bathroom, the place is surrounded by a lot of nature and sometimes you can see monkeys passing by. The house is very spacious. When we arrived Carlos was very attentive giving instructions on how to get to the house. When we arrived Carlos greeted us with a basket of fruit and gave us a small tour of the house and showed us how to use the kitchen and the showers for hot water. If you are looking for privacy and tranquility, I recommend it, it is also very well located if you are looking to be close to the XCARET, XENSES, XPLOR and Río Secreto parks. I recommend it if you are a group of more than 5 people, very comfortable and private.

This home was gorgeous, artfully designed with so many lighting options in every space. It was the perfect place to stay with our family of 7, with ample spaces to spread out comfortably and gather together. Loved the rooftop porches for early morning workouts and bird watching. Backyard has perfect amount of nighttime lighting for magical evenings too!

The house is custom built and the pictures don't do it justice! We stayed with a family of 6 and the house could easily sleep 10. Each room has a private bathroom, with an additional bathroom near the entrance for guests and common use. We loved the pool and BBQ grill in the completely private yard. The home is in a very small, quiet, gated neighborhood, and it is surrounded by a tall rock wall with another lockable gate. We felt VERY safe and secure. Carlos was an excellent host who was responsive and helpful with all of our questions. He even picked us some fresh coconuts from the tree in the yard and started us off with a huge basket of fresh fruits and flowers! Don't pass this place up!

Our family group of 11 stayed in this beautiful home. Carlos was an amazing host! As other reviewers have mentioned the house is beautiful and very spacious. There is a full bathroom in each room which is extremely important when traveling with a big group. The location of the house is also very convenient. We were able to visit the nearby parks and explore our surroundings without any difficulty. We felt safe the entire time! Would recommend this place to anyone!

Great home! Lots of space for our family? Close to the beaches and shopping. The only complaint is the dogs and rooster waking us up in the night but that is to be expected when you are out of town in the jungle. Other than that it was perfect!! Would come back. Carlos was super helpful and always available when necessary.

Our family of 9 (two grandparents, four parents and three children, age 7 to 10) spent 8 nights in Carlos' spacious house. The description is quite accurate and we really enjoyed the space, the garden and the pool and the interesting features that Carlos included in the design of the house: creative lighting, fountain inside the house, hammocks, ... We had daily visits of spider monkeys, iguanas and beautiful birds to the delight of the children. The house is located in a small gated community (4-5 houses only) and we felt totally safe. Carlos' directions to find the house were perfect and we had no difficulty finding it, even at night. Carlos is a wonderful host, very responsive to any inquiry from restaurants to the best local beaches. We even asked Carlos for a reference of a cook to prepare a Christmas meal for our group and he recommended his son Nicolas who prepared a excellent dinner for us. In addition, Nicolas is a very nice person and we really enjoyed the evening.

The Casa was truly exceptional and the stay was all throughout highly pleasant. The interior of the house was much better than the great picture in the listing. The host Carlos was very responsive and welcoming from check-in to check-out, making the whole stay experience comfortable and memorable. Would recommend the stay.

Private Awesome place

This is a beautiful home that is very convenient to Xcaret, Xenses, and Xplor (even walkable). Our group of 8 (ages 18 to 50) had a wonderful week at this spacious and lovely home. Carlos is a fantastic host. We arrived just as another group departed after staying for a month, and there were a few minor issues that Carlos dealt with immediately. He is a great communicator who is committed to ensuring your stay is a good one. He gave us a very helpful tour upon our arrival. The pool was a lifesaver in the (somewhat brutal) heat and humidity of July. It is also cleaned daily by Alex, who arrives around 6am. For guests that are concerned about safely, I can say that we had no issues or concerns, especially considering that the house is in a very small gated community with just a few other homes. We would recommend this home to other groups, especially ones that wish to visit the amazing nearby Xcaret parks.

Absolutely wonderful AirBnB experience! We loved the Stone House, and the location is great for visiting the Xcaret parks, Tulum, and exploring Playa del Carmen. The house is lovely, fun, and a work of art. Our kids were delighted with the rooms - especially the loft area - and they swam in the pool every moment they could. Carlos is a fantastic and thoughtful host who kindly provided fresh fruit and starter food items for us, and he is a great communicator as well. We had a fabulous family holiday together at the house. Carlos was a great host, always responsive and friendly. His communication was very good and the directions he provided were extremely helpful. The pool was cleaned daily and we arrived to find a bowl of be fresh fruit and various pantry items. Carlos greeted us with a house tour and farewelled us in person as we left. A fantastic experience all round.

Had an amazing stay here! Carlos was such a wonderful host! His place was fantastic. It was huge and had everything we could ask for. We spent so much time in the backyard, eating, listening to the wildlife, and lounging around the pool. It’s next to all the Xcaret properties (Xcaret, Xplor, Xenses) and only 10-15 min drive from PDC. He had the fridge stocked and a big basket of fresh fruit waiting for us when we arrived. Can’t recommend this place enough and looking forward to staying here again in the future!

This was a great place to stay for our family of adult children. There is not a bad room in the house. We would stay here again. Everyone has there own space. You can really spread out an relax.

This place is fabulous. On 3 of the mornings we stayed, we actually had monkeys swing through the backyard. The house is gorgeous inside and out. Lots of attention to detail. Carlos is very responsive and accommodating. Close to town, but definitely need a car or cab to get around.

It was a great family experience. Not only was the house unique just like in the pictures, but this was my kids first time in Mexico and they all felt completely safe and comfortable at the house. Its in the perfect location, very private as well as great if you want to visit the Amazing parks surrounding it like Xcaret. Carlos was attentive to anything we needed he is a great host. We had a great stay at the Stone house. Everything was great. The stone house is beautiful. The rooms are very comfortable and pretty. Everything was amazing. Carlos was a very attentive host and was on top of everything. Gave us a very detailed tour of the property when we arrived. The house is breathtaking, please believe me when I tell you the photos do not do the house justice. Keep in mind you are in the jungle and there is bugs everywhere! Being from the south, this was no problem! Just make sure you buy bug spray! The backyard was spectacular, beautiful at night with the outdoor lights on! I recommend taking a shower outside on the third floor terrace while the sun is setting, nothing more beautiful!

I'll start by mentioning that communication was superb. Carlos communicated at every step, just after booking before arrival, met us at the house and had a friendly chat providing info to all of our group. This three story beautyful property not only is ideal for large families or groups but is really within walking distance from Playacar major atractions such as Xcaret, Xenses, Xplor, Rio Secreto, etc. We highly reccomend this property. It is a beautiful and spacious house and greatly designed to sit and relax inside and outside the house. It is big enough to host a big family. The host is extremely nice and attentive from the moment you arrive.

There are not enough words to explain how amazing this place was. The house is absolutely beautiful. The pictures do not even come close to how perfect this house is. It is tucked away in a super safe, quiet and private neighborhood. It is in the perfect location to shops near by and walking distance to the parks. If you get the chance, using the outdoor wood oven is a MUST!!!! Carlos is phenomenal with communicating. Anything we needed, it was there within minutes. He gave great recommendations and was so wonderful to chat with. Kaeya and his group catered a dinner for my family and will forever be one of my favorite dinners. We are already planning our next trip to come back and will absolutely book this place again and again.

This place is incredible! Host, home, location, all of it. The home was a dream. It was quite spacious, so unique, and truly so much fun. We could spend days here and be just perfect. The monkey visits were our favorite! The location was perfect, close enough to Playa and also Tulum, but far enough to feel like we had space. Carlos was the best host we could have asked for. He was so accommodating yet gave us our privacy. He was so willing to attend to every one of our needs and help with simple suggestions. We could not have asked for a better stay. I 100% recommend staying at this wonderful home.

Absolutely Fabulous! You want for nothing!

Very cool house with tons of amazing and unexpected features that separate this house from your average house. Carlos designed and built this himself and he enjoyed the process very clearly. The rooms are HUGE with 12 foot ceilings, each with their own unique and funky bathroom. There are hammocks in each room which is too cool. On the third floor there is this separate thatched roof apartment area. It has a bathroom, two private deck areas surrounded by trees and foliage, and a loft that has a bed. No AC in this case room but it’s a really cool space. We had a family of 4 kids and 2 adults and it was more than enough space for all of us. The only slightly negative thing I could say is that it’s about a 10 min drive from town on a street that apparently doesn’t have a name. If you need a taxi just say it’s on the road that is the entrance to Xenses. Carlos will help you. But really, if you think about it, For example, if this amazing house was on the beach in Playa—it would be double the price. I will say that the area is all walled in and extremely safe. No concerns for intruders. It’s a special place. We loved our experience in this house. We cooked all kinds of food, cut up fresh fruit everyday, played card games, and just felt at home.

The property is great for a big family or a solid group of friends. There’s plenty of room in all the rooms for everyone to sleep in, and all the amenities are perfect for making it feel like home. The house is only short drive or cab ride to playa de Carmen, about 10-15min. This is the best location to get to XCARET! Which is the reason my family and I picked this location. The host will take care of you and is very attentive. He will ensure you are provided everything and gives great recommendations. If you run into any issues he will respond right away and will take care of the issue within the hour. I highly recommend this property and host!

If you're looking for a place to stay near Playa, look no further! This was the best Airbnb I've ever stayed at, by far. The house was beautiful and Carlos was a wonderful host. It took us WAY longer than expected to make our way through the airport, rent a car, and fight traffic to Playa on a Saturday afternoon, however Carlos lives right next door and was there to hand the keys off and give us a tour right when we arrived! I am so glad we opted to rent his house instead of doing an all-inclusive resort, the house itself was nicer than any resort I've ever stayed at, and I didn't feel trapped in an Americanized bubble. I really enjoyed a more "authentic" Mexican experience. The location was perfect for us. The house is right outside the gates of Xenses park in a small, quiet, gated neighborhood. Its a quick 5-10 minute drive to downtown Playa, we ate in town every night and it was really easy finding parking. It is a 40-50 min drive to Tulum/Cancun, which was perfect for us since we planned on exploring both while we were there. The house was huge and was very well maintained. Lots of privacy whether you're a big or small group. We each had our own room with full in-suite bathrooms. The hammocks in each room made for the optimal nap experience. We enjoyed the pool & backyard everyday, it was the perfect way to wind down after a full day of exploring the peninsula. There is a storage room with all the pool/beach equipment you could imagine. The umbrella came in clutch for those hot days at the beach. The wifi was excellent, which usually isn't at the top of my list on a vacation, however my sister had a medical school interview while we were there so this was a huge relief. We had the best time thanks to this house and we can't wait to come back again!

The photos do not do this place justice. The young adults were thrilled!!! All the charm, character and room in this gorgeous HOME! The house was in a very quiet location (well except birds and peacocks, which I love). It is close to the road that takes you pretty much anywhere you want to go. Having a car is helpful, but if you want to just relax and stay in, everything is there for you! There was a splendid bowl of fruit waiting for us. The pool was cleaned every day. There was instant communication with a nearby host for all our needs and general logistic questions even! I loved having the washer/dryer available for drying towels and being able to have a smaller amount of clothing to bring. The most beautiful Airb&B I have ever had the pleasure to stay at.

This house is an absolute dream! We have stayed at plenty of five star properties (Airbnb and hotels) and this was one of the best spots ever! Clean, well situated, private and secure - the host is so friendly, attentive but not intrusive at all. There are MANY grocery stores nearby, la Quinta Avenida and great food everywhere! There is no oven, but there is a great BBQ set up in the gorgeous backyard. We cooked most of our meals there and it was a joy.

We had a great experience staying at Kaeya's property. It was very clean, spacious, and private, and perfect for hosting a bachelor party weekend. The location was close to Playa and convenient to everything we wanted to do. Kaeya was a very responsive host and helped arrange some events for us and was great about responding to questions. Definitely recommend.

The house is very beautiful, really the changos pass, we had to see them and feed them, the pool is very nice, the fractionation is peaceful and reliable, very close to great attractions and with ease to travel to tourist places such as Tulum and Chichen Itza, we would love to return, the place is very recommended

The house is beautiful definitely breathtaking. We took a family vacation and it was perfect for the kids since monkeys come and visit. It is also perfect if you plan to visit the Xcaret parks since they are minutes away. It is also about 10 to 15 minutes from 5th Avenue where you will find really good restaurants and souvenirs. Kaeya was very courteous and helpful he suggested some restaurants which we decided to try and the food was delicious. He is really good at communicating and very understanding if have a delay and need to check in a little later. Overall it was a great experience my family and I had a really good time.

The house is located about 10-15 minutes outside of PDC and at the entrance to all of the parks. One could walk to Xcaret but with the heat and humidity I would recommend driving. The home is large and spacious. I traveled with a group of seven had plenty of room for everyone to be together or separate as needed. It offers three bedrooms, each with it's own private bathroom. There is also a loft for additional space. Kaeya is a great host and very attentive. He is quick to reply and can also provide plenty of suggestions or tips of things to do during your stay. I would absolutely recommend anyone to stay at Casa de Piedra and enjoy a fantastic time!

The house is beautiful, washing car so you can get juice to the location as there is no public transportation nearby. Great for big families.

The house is even more beautiful in person than in the photos, everything is perfect and excellent. We stayed 10 days and visited many places in the Mayan Rivera, but every time I asked my son what he liked the most about the vacation, he always answered the same thing: "La Casa de Piedra". It's a beautiful place which I highly recommend, a quiet, safe, private place. Your host is also a gem, always attentive to any questions or needs. 100% Recommended.

Kaeya is a great host, communication was great. He is very attentive to anything we needed and the house is very beautiful. We would definitely stay again.

The home is really pretty. The location is absolutely perfect if you plan to do anything in xcaret parks. Its 1 min away while feeling safe behind gated doors. Any time I return, I will probably push to stay here even if for a few days. Kaeya does his best to try and accommodate you. House was really nice. Pool is not deep ,good for kids. We got lucky to see the spider monkeys.

Kaeya is a great host and is super responsive. The house is beautiful and has its own tree house as a third story unit. Every room has a bathroom which is super convenient. This was the perfect stay for my family and I.

Great place to stay, fits lots of people, and very clean! 3 master bedrooms in the house with an option of a fourth bedroom in the 3rd floor living space. House was amazing and the location even better! Very private neighborhood that is walking distance to Xenses park. Pool is great as the backyard too. Wifi woks amazing everywhere in the house. You even get your occasional visit from the spider monkeys around the area. Just a great and amazing place to stay. The host, Kaeya, is very friendly and responsive, he will help you with anything you may need for your stay. Just overall Greta experience!

Kaeya gave us good service. She was very friendly and left a pantry 😍 The house is much better than I thought. It's very large and nice, in a private area. I'm very happy 😁
