Ernesto was a terrific host. The house is right on the Malcom and close to many restaurants, bars and cafes. The pool and A/C were a godsend since we were there in August and the weather was hot. Ernesto allowed us to check in early and keep our luggage at the house until 3pm, which was extremely helpful given our early arrival and late departure flights. Alexia the property manager was very responsive with all our requests and easy to communicate with. We enjoyed our stay and recommend it to others!

We had an outstanding stay at Ernesto’s house in La Paz. The location is unbeatable—right on the Malecón with incredible views of the bay, yet quiet enough to relax and get a great night’s sleep. The home is beautifully maintained, spotless, and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Ernesto was an exceptional host: responsive, welcoming, and always available with great local recommendations. The check-in process was seamless, and it was clear that a lot of care has gone into making guests feel at home. If you’re visiting La Paz, this is the perfect place to stay. We would gladly return and highly recommend Ernesto’s home to anyone looking for a memorable experience.

Five stars. This place exceeded our expectations and we will absolutely be back. We spent most of our time out on the patio watching the sunsets while the kids played in the pool, and we really enjoyed using the BBQ grill in the evenings. The location on the Malecón is perfect — close to everything, but still quiet and relaxing at night. A huge thank you to Alexia for being incredibly responsive throughout the stay and for accommodating an early check-in, which made arrival with kids much easier. Also, special kudos to Rocio — the house was spotless, and she did such an amazing job cleaning that we ended up hiring her to come daily during our stay. Pro tip for future guests: make the quick five-minute drive to Tropical Ice Cream — it was a family favorite. Also, if you want an unforgettable experience, book a trip with Edgar Sport Fishing Charter Baja Paceños. He was the most affordable charter we found, and we caught two massive mahi mahi and two roosterfish.

Great place! Very cool, clean house with amazing outdoor space. The noise from the nearby restaurants is as expected and only noisy on weekends and not too late. Host very responsive and helpful.

This is a very special home. Located on the Malecon (La Paz' Ocean Drive), the view of the bay (from the front terrace, the palapa dinner table or the raised pool) is quite amazing. You can spend an entire morning, afternoon, or evening just relaxing and enjoying the view of the waterfront boulevard and bay. This home is very spacious with charming architecture and plenty of space for 4 to 6 people. You are literally only steps from charming restaurants and cafes. Highly recommended when staying in La Paz. Will definitely come back.

The space is unique however there were many issues with the home. There was no running or hot water - support staff worked to resolve issue however resolved the night before we left. There was grout all over floor in showers and rooms. Not sure this space is used much. After we left Owner noted he could not anticipate water issues and pointed to an offer of showers at a differently facility he owns as an adequate remedy. The place is not well maintained. Running water should be a basic amenity that is maintained.

This house is even better than the pictures. It’s beautiful inside and the courtyard is great for hanging out and enjoying the views. The location is Primo with easy walking to lots of restaurants and activities. Ernesto was extremely helpful helping us find a second place to accommodate our large group, and Alexia was very quick to reply to our questions.

Such a unique space! Very cool design and layout. The property also goes by Casas Cuevas - house cave - because it’s partially built into a rock wall. It’s right off the MALECÓN but it’s not loud or busy. Very easy to walk to some awesome restaurants. And Ernesto was very responsive and helpful. Really enjoyed the stay.

Location, Location, Location! Right in the middle of La Paz restaurants, with a beautiful view. This home was spotlessly maintained and the patio and pool were peaceful and private. Super clean. Ernesto was very helpful with transportation and recommendations. Really the best of place in La Paz. You can't go wrong booking this home. :)

Lovely home in a great location! We loved being able to walk and run on the Malecon and have easy access to numerous great restaurants within walking distance. Very comfortable and quiet--despite it being New Year's Eve, the bedrooms were silent and we all slept well!

Ernesto's place is very unique, comfortable and ideally located on the popular and active malecón on the waterfront of La Paz. The house design is lovely, the outdoor space is huge and the kitchen is well stocked. The Melcón never sleeps and is particularly active at night with cruisers and people. It is fun to sit out on the patio and watch the world go by. Super walkable to so many restaurants, cafes and shops and a short drive to special beaches. Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay very much and highly recommend it if you are looking for a unique spot with a busy town vibe.

You can't find a better location in La Paz. Right on the Malecon. Gorgeous sunsets. A mere half minute walk across the street to the water. My kids loved the big patio to play on. Everything is nearby and Ernesto and his team were helpful throughout our stay. If you can get it, I'd say book it!

We loved this Airbnb. The location can’t be beat. It was lovely to have a pool and to be so close to the malecon and the beach. Even though it is flanked by restaurants and the Main Street, the house is very well insulated from sound. It was extremely walkable and Ernesto was very responsive. He even connected us with someone who could provide reliable transportation and local recommendations.

Excellent place with an unbeatable location, right in front of the Malecón de la Paz. The evenings are unbeatable. From its large terrace you can enjoy unbeatable sunsets. The house is comfortable with a fully equipped kitchen. It has an excellent fully professional stove. The hosts were with us at all times and the fact that we didn't need them meant that everything went smoothly. Definitely a place to enjoy the best of peace!

This home is magical - it's full of beautiful art and decorations, maintaining its original character, while being enhanced by modern touches. The location cannot be matched. The beds were all comfortable with high quality bedding. The pool was clean and the perfect temperature. I stayed at the Baja Club the first time I visited La Paz, but after staying here, this will definitely be where I return on my next trip to La Paz.

The location and outdoor space are unbeatable. If you are looking to visit La Paz and want to be able to enjoy the melacón, have a private outdoor space, and pool, this is the clear best option in my opinion. The house itself is nice as well; three nice bedrooms, small living room, and nice kitchen. The terrace, palapa, and pool were really the selling points for me and they did not disappoint. Great location on the melacón as well. You are close enough to walk to the “busy” part of the melacón but away from the very hectic main part of the melacón. We stayed on Independence Day and I was concerned the noise might be loud at night when trying to sleep but we had 0 issues, even with two small children. Safety also was of no concern. The property locks up nicely and is in a safe part of town.

This is our second time at this location—it's a great place on the Malecon and a wonderful home. Walk right out and enjoy yourself. It's 15 minutes from Balendara and Tecolote and walkable to everything else.

Thanks for your comments Dwight!! We are working in the bathroom issue and should be ready after summer season because we need to do some works with the city for draining. And I will also consider the Lightning issue to improve it. Thanks a lot and more than welcome anytime!!

We had six good friends stay at Ernesto’s. It was our first time in La Paz. We all thought we had the best place in town. The view, location, restaurants, stores. It was fantastic. The house was absolutely perfect for our family of 5, including 3 young kids. House felt spacious and the outdoor area and pool were amazing. The location is perfect. All the restaurants were within walking distance and the house is just far enough from the center of town so it is not super noisy. We were there during Carnaval week so it got really noisy at night (music was going until about 2am). So be prepared for that if you come during Carnaval. Ale was extremely helpful throughout our stay. She helped arrange car rental and also laundry. We will stay here again in a heartbeat!

Great authentic house in bustling location! Our family enjoyed the living spaces both inside and out, although we spent majority of time outside adventuring during the day, eating at great restaurants (most of the ones we liked were away from the malecon, as they felt less touristy), then back to great house for cards under the palapa! We think the malecon was extra busy as it was christmas so lots of cars driving up and down the street at all hours. The festive holiday parade was a great way to start the holiday and feel a part of la Paz at christmas! Restaurant highlights, tiger club, guercamadero (sp?), Nemi, and several other local places. We loved how original the house felt.

Absolutely loved our stay in La Paz. This house captured our hearts with its charm, proximity to everything La Paz has to offer, and immaculate views. Would recommend staying here, and many of us said if we returned to La Paz, we'd stay here again. Ale helped book massages at the house, which we enjoyed. And we discovered the DiDi App, for local rides and food deliveries which were extremely convenient.

Amazing location! We parked our car out front and never used it again - the house is walkable to all the best restaurants and shops. We enjoyed watching sunset and cooling off in the pool. Walking the vibrant Malecon at night was so enjoyable! Felt very safe. The outdoor speakers weren’t working when we were there and the locks (padlocks and multiple keys) were a bit cumbersome but not enough to ruin our stay. Would definitely recommend!

Can’t beat the location, parking and large external backyard to people watch on Malcon. House is very modern and cute, clean and great AC. Some shower water draining problem however, that’s Mexico. It’s a great space to save money on traveling locally to come eat and enjoy downtown and, amazing sunsets.

We loved our visit to La Paz and this house was perfect for our family. We enjoyed the chilly mornings looking out at the bay and walking/running along the malecon, relaxing around the pool before/after a day at the beach, fun family evenings under the palapa and plenty of space for all 5 of us to be together, yet also have our own space. Wonderful memories here and Ernesto & Alexia were super responsive, helpful and welcoming. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this spot (as long as it is available for us next time!). We had a fantastic time at Ernesto’s place! It was exactly as advertised, and a quick walk to bars, restaurants, cafes, and the beach. We really enjoyed the full kitchen, and spent a majority of our time either in the pool or under the palapa. Ernesto recommended some local cafes and restaurants that were awesome! Bonus, there’s a Mexican restaurant next door and around the corner a place with fresh clams and ceviche. We’d highly recommend this place, and will definitely stay here again!

We loved the property and the location. It was great to be in the middle of town so we could walk to restaurants and shops. We did have to drive to the beach but it was very close. We loved the whale watching expedition - guests should know that this involves driving back to Cabo (2-1/2 hr drive) which was provided by the excursion provider. We loved swimming with whale sharks - that is local to la Paz. There was a great Mexican tile store where they make the pottery there which I would recommend checking out. One thing we would have liked to know was that there are no bags at the grocery store - not even to buy. So bring some grocery bags with you. All in all a great week - would definitely do it again!

Fantastic perfect place. The house was amazing, in a perfect location. Great for families or groups. Walking up and down the Malecón or just people watching was amazing. First visit to La Paz and it will be hard to beat this location. It is right in the middle of everything. Very easy to walk to all the shops and restaurants. Waking up and seeing the bay right outside never got old. If you’re traveling here in the winter months the pool is not heated so it was very cold, but I only imagine that applies maybe 2 or 3 months of the year. There is no washer / dryer but there was a drop off laundry right up the street. Again, the location cannot be better.

We loved Ernesto’s house and would highly recommend it. The massive patio was incredible for watching the world go by on the malecon. We also enjoyed watching the sunrise and sunset, and just hanging out in the patio chairs looking at the sea. We spent time in the pool every day and at the big outdoor table as well. The location couldn’t have been better right off the malecon. We did a long walk on the malecon every day and walked to restaurants, bars and coffee shops - all within a short walk. Ernesto was very responsive and helpful when we needed it. He also gave us great local recommendations that we used. The house was clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!

We arrived at the end of hurricane Norma, the house was beautiful they lost a tree outside but considering it was right on the Malecón was in perfect condition. Because the home had no power from the hurricane Ernesto had put us in a hotel down the street Casa el Mar. When the city restored the power we were able to enjoy a couple nights at the home. Ernesto and Alexia were great hosts and made sure we were taken care of.

This is the perfect place for a visit to La Paz. The house is clean and beautifully decorated. You are right in the malecon with a gorgeous view of the water. At night, being right in the malecon, it can get noisy, but thanks to the solid house and windows, we couldn't hear a thing and slept like babies. Ernesto was a great host and gave us recommendations for eating. Chilling in the pool with views to the beach is just fantastic. We felt safe at all times. We were a group of 6 doing a short weekend getaway. This was our first time in La Paz and we wanted to be right in the downtown with a beautiful but walkable location- this spot was just that!!! The view is truly incredible and the location was PERFECT! The place was beautifully decorated and exactly as described. This was one of our favorite Airbnb stays ever. From the start, Ramiro, the property manager was great with directions, recommendations & overall communication. The house itself is really special and the location could not be better. It is within walking distance to all kinds of restaurants, bars and shopping and even though you are in the middle of it all it feels private and secure. The pool was wonderful and we spent the warm afternoons floating around and were able to watch some beautiful sunsets with the unobstructed views. There is a great coffee shop right around the corner (Belier Cafe). The coffee and avocado toast were amazing! There are also some great places to eat right outside the front done but DO NOT eat at El Zarape which is almost next door. The food and service were horrible and it was the wors margarita we've ever had. There is a fish restaurant on the corner right near the house that is more of a local spot and was delicious! Don't think twice. Book it!

The house is located in a spectacular spot. The view of the esplanade with the blue Sea of La Paz will captivate you. The house is very nice and clean. It has three bedrooms: a master bedroom with a king-size bed and its own bathroom, another bedroom with a queen-size bed, and a third bedroom with two twin beds; these bedrooms share a bathroom. The third bathroom (half bathroom) is located outside the house for easy access from the pool. The kitchen is fully equipped, the living room provides extra space for socializing, and the pool, although small, is more than enough to enjoy a nice dip. The patio is quite large; it has a palapa with a table that can seat the whole family and chairs for watching the sunset. Communication is handled by the property manager, who gives you the keys and is available to assist you during your stay. We had some unforeseen issues, and he responded consistently and kindly.

What a fantastic place to stay! The location is everything, right along the Malecón with easy 5-10 min walks to just about anything you could want. The view is amazing, we could’ve spent all day hanging out on the patio people watching and looking at the water. There is so much outdoor space as well, so if you do have the house full with 6 people, you will never feel cramped. The pool is wonderful as well, many reviews mention it is on the smaller side which is true. However, still easy to fit comfortably 4-5 adults and still have a relaxing time. The inside of the home was wonderful, three separate bedrooms and two bathrooms, everything looks just like the photos. The beds are quite firm, so something to keep in mind. I would 100% stay here again, hoping to have the opportunity to come back to wonderful La Paz.

This is an excellent location. Walkable to many, many restaurants, grocery stores, banks and museums. You get a great taste of city life in La Paz at this property. The view from the property is excellent. We saw amazing sunsets every night. The property felt very safe. The house comfortably slept the 6 of us. The house and outdoor area are a perfect for relaxing at the pool, outdoor dining or in the chairs watching the ocean. Ernesto and Ramiro were excellent hosts and communicators. If we had questions or needed recommendations, they were very responsive and great suggestions and connections. The house is a nice central location for heading off to go snorkeling, fishing and whale watching. The whale watching that was recommended by the hosts was truly an amazing experience. We loved our stay and will definitely be back.

The location was what we wanted—walkable, but the water in front of the house was not a beach. We were there for Carnival, which was crazy noisy, so that wasn’t our scene. The cool stone walls drop pebbles, so once in a while some would fall on the bed and the shower floor was gravely. The professional grade stove had to be manually lit, which meant pulling apart the griddle. And the house was super skimpy on towels. There were no kitchen towels at all, so we had to ask for some. We also ran out of water one night, and despite texting, didn’t get a response until the next morning. (Someone had tripped over and broken the pipe that feeds the house, which is inconveniently located in a public walkway.) We enjoyed being able to walk to the local food. The house has a cool vibe and sitting out front watching people go by was pleasant.

This place was absolutely gorgeous. The location between some great restaurants with delicious guac and ceviche and we felt very safe. Towards the upper end of the Malecon so it was quiet which is what we wanted. Despite the cold weather my son and husband made great use of the plunge pool; drinks poolside and a great view. The palapa was great for dining. Our kids wandered around the courtyard exploring and picking fruit off the trees. The home is beautifully designed with an amazing stove top. There were good cooking amenities but we mostly went out for meals. The lighting was a little dark at night inside but the decor was beautiful and beds firm but very comfortable! One shower drained slightly slow but this seems typical during our travels through Baja. The home was tastefully decorated. Javier who managed the house set us up with in home massage, laundry service, and also swimming with the whale sharks (which was cancelled due to high winds).

The house is beautiful, but you won’t spend much time inside because the outdoor space is stunning. The house is right on the Malecon, easy walk to everywhere - great restaurants, shops, bakeries, and close to activities - like swimming with whale sharks. Perfect place to watch the sunset, although on weekends the sunset is accompanied by lots of cruising with loud Mexican music, which is fun to experience. And don’t worry, once tucked in bed with the air on you can’t hear it. Ask Herendida to come to the house and give you a massage. She’s amazing and she’s on what’s app. 984-106-5731. You may want to rent a car to go to beaches (although there is a bus) and for a day trip to Todos Santos. Javier is amazing. A fabulous place for a great vacation.

Ernesto’s Casa Cuevas has an ideal location right across the street from La Paz’s famed Malecon. You will find two local favorite taquerias only steps from the front gate and many more restaurants of great variety just a few blocks in any direction. The property is located in a quieter area of the Malecon compared to the area along Zona Central, except for Saturday nights when traffic noise and music along the waterfront is everywhere, but we found that this only adds to the total experience of La Paz. Lastly, I would like to add that our local host Javier helped make our stay very enjoyable, including arranging for a sight seeing and snorkeling tour to the nearby islands of Espiritu Santo and Partida.

An excellent stay here, highly recommend! The location in terms of proximity to the malecón is perfect and you can easily walk to all restaurants and stores. The large patio and views of the bay were amazing. The kitchen is also noteworthy- full professional kitchen with gas stove top but also grill, flat top, deep fryer, etc. Great service at check-in / check- out and with communication overall - would stay again! Thank you!

The location and view could not be better, the house was so comfortable but we spent more time out on the incredible patio.

This place, right in the heart of La Paz, really is what made our stay in Mexico unforgettable. Plenty of space inside and in the courtyard for everyone to stretch out. Beautiful and unique details throughout. The staff assisted instantly when confronted with trouble syncing the outdoor speaker system. Loved every minute we stayed at this property!

Ernesto is such a gentleman. He made arrangements for all our needs from at home massages on the patio to adventures to snorkeling with sea lions at Los Islotes and a picnic and the most beautiful beach on Isla Ispiritu Santo. I can’t sing enough praises for Ernesto! The Airbnb was gorgeous and beautiful beyond expectation. Was well appointed with scrumptious bedding, large showers, plenty of spaces to relax. The patio is gorgeous. We will be back again, and again, and again. I have NO complaints about this property.
