An amazing experience! The house exceeds the photos: clean, well maintained and with a spectacular view to watch the sunset. The service team, always attentive and cooking exquisite food. Useful information for travelers: at this time of year the beach usually has a lot of stones, so I recommend bringing suitable footwear (aquashoes). Even so, the house is totally worth it!

A very pleasant experience. Freddy was always attentive. Everything is super clean. We were very impressed with the security of the place. The only thing I could ask for would be a washing machine, but that didn't prevent my stay from being very pleasant. We're leaving La Saladita happy, and happy with the place in general

House was even better than the pictures! Stunning views, great location, immaculately clean and perfectly maintained. It had everything we needed for a family surf trip. Freddy, Francisca and Rubi were wonderful! After trying her cooking the first night we had Francisca cook almost every night of our stay and every meal was delicious. Already planning our next trip to casa tortuga!

Absolutely perfect Airbnb.

An amazing house, with all the comforts and very well thought out details. A place to lose yourself for a few days with direct beach access. Although it is very rocky, the sound of the sea and the view are spectacular.

We loved our vacation in this beautiful property again this year. The people in charge of maintaining the house are discreet and very friendly. We love this little piece of heaven, the surfing is just perfect for us and for the kids. The location of the house allows us to walk to virtually anywhere in the village of Saladita.

We can't help but keep coming back to casa tortuga. this is our 3rd stay and we love it so much we have it booked for 2 times next year already. It feels like home away from home. Richele is a communicative host who is friendly, helpful, and flexible. Her staff she has is the same each time we come back and they are amazing. Freddy who takes care of the house is helpful with planning activities and great around our kids. The ladies who clean each day are sweet and you can also hire them to cook meals for you, which we do. Their food is amazing. This place has a piece of our heart.

Beautiful place with the friendliest staff. Freddy, Francisca, Ruby kept the place immaculate. The food prepared by Francisca and Ruby was delicious and always more than we could finish. Meals were arranged directly with Francisca and I highly recommend her. A super relaxing place to unwind and relax whether at the pool, the ocean or watching sunsets from the terrace.

You could not ask for a better and more beautiful place to stay than Casa Tortuga in La Saladita. The house is flawlessly beautiful and functional, the location is prime beachfront and the staff is fantastic. Casa Tortuga is designed perfectly for its semi-tropical beach environment. Beautiful air-conditioned, ocean view bedrooms with king bed and bathroom in each. Great use of outside space with a full outdoor kitchen and dinning area, infinite pool and a large shaded hangout area all with fans and great use of breezeways. Freddy, Casa Tortuga's house manager keeps the house in great shape and can set you up with anything from transportation, to massages and surf lessons. Each morning Francisca and Rubi impeccably clean house and if you are wise you will arrange for them to cook a dinner or two for you. Their traditional Mexican dishes are incredible. Casa Tortuga's host, Richele is extremely helpful and great to work with. Great place, Great people. It's exactly as advertised.

This is our second time here and the stay was as amazing as our first time. The house is perfect and the staff is amazing and friendly.

Outstanding vacation and vacation home. The surfing is spectacular and the house was the perfect place to stay. Francisca, the house cleaner and cook, provided wonderful and authentic Mexican dishes for dinner (extra charge). It was me and my 2 college age boys. Would stay here again.

Fantastic facilities and services

We spent 3 weeks in summer at La Casa Tortuga with family and 3 children aged 13 to 16 and it was perfect. We were greeted by Freddy who was perfect throughout our stay. The house is impeccable and very well maintained every day. The house is about a 5-minute walk from the surf spot, but it is also possible to surf in front of the house, however in front of the house there may be current, it is not ideal for swimming with young children. There are several good restaurants within walking distance and a small grocery store that is really good. The Sunday market is really an opportunity to stock up on fruit and vegetables. The villagers are very friendly and there. Read that there is no danger walking at night on the beach or in the village, but it's really dark at night. We simply loved our stay, thank you!!!!

The house was absolutely amazing. We had the best time here. The pool, AC, beds, kitchen and cabana area all met our expectations for a comfortable stay. I highly recommend staying here and I will definitely be back again next summer.

Enter the fear of writing a wonderful review and inspiring too many people to visit and decrease my chances of availability in the future. What a wonderful home and experience. The view and amenities of this home are more beautiful in person than what you see in the photos. If you want a quiet escape where you can walk along a safe quiet beach at night to watch sunset with your feet in the sand while eating at a beachside restaurant, this is the place for you. Although surfing is quite popular here, with Freddy's help, we opted for rendting 4 wheelers, had in home massages, home cooked meals by the lovely ladies who help care for the home and had the kids horseback riding on the beach. Freddy is not just the 'groundskeeper' he is the person who will make you feel at home and cared for from the minute you walk through the door. Would rate 6 of 5 if I could. Thank you Richele & Freddy for the opportunity to make memories in your beautiful home, the kids and us will never forget! <3

Impeccable. We had a “buddymoon” here and the staff and home couldn’t have been more accommodating. Lots of communal areas and every room/suite has privacy and gorgeous views. Top tip..take advantage of having meals made at the house..delicious and prompt and you cannot beat the vibe anywhere else in the area. The staff are amazing and anything we wanted arranged was done ..massage or excursions or general advice on the area. We will certainly stay again when returning to the area. Thank you!!

Casa Tortuga is the most amazing home we have ever stayed in! It is more than just a normal house and more of very unique beach experience. The house is stunningly beautiful and in the most spectacular location. It has wonderful open design that makes the house flow naturally to the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed spending the day sitting in the outside patio and swimming by the pool. And the house staff where incredibly friendly and helpful in keeping the house immaculate and helping coordinate our trip. As well Richele was incredibly proactive to quickly resolve some very minor issues we had. We are looking forward to staying here again!

Our group of 8 (two families) had an incredible stay at Casa Tortuga. It truly is a special place and we cannot say enough good things about Richele, the house staff (Freddy, Francisca, and Ruby), and the property. The home’s architecture and open design are so thoughtful and fitting for the setting. Everything was immaculate and refreshed daily. We loved the proximity to the surf, which enabled all four of us parents to take turns surfing every day. The pool is great for kids and has a shallow section that was ideal for our two-year old. We are so grateful Casa Tortuga is available to rent and cannot wait to return!

Casa Tortuga is an amazing property. The house is gorgeous with high ceilings, beautiful plastered walls, windows and open walls everywhere. The landscaping gives great views of huge agave plants out your window while looking at the ocean. The setup of the house was perfect for families/groups…bedrooms are set apart from the open air living room/kitchen/pool area so it was easy to get a quiet nap away from the group. The kitchen was one of the best stocked I’ve ever seen in a vacation rental. Quick walk to the surf break. Owners were wonderful, quick communication. The house is tended to daily by a lovely crew who kept it sparkling clean and made sure we had anything we needed. I would return here next week if I could- I think this is far and away the best place to stay in Saladita.

Best house on the beach! Someone even called it the Taj Mahal of saladita cause it’s so beautiful. Just a 5 min walk to the point but my husbands favorite spot to surf was just out front. Francisca made our meals and she was great. And Freddy took care of everything we needed including having someone come to house for COVID tests. Can’t wait to visit again!

My (now) husband and I got married in Saladita and we were lucky to stay at Richele's home for almost two weeks. We were in paradise and were so sad to leave. Every detail about the house was mapped out beautifully -- from the angle the house faces the water to the placement of the rooms -- and the fresh flowers were stunning. Freddy, the caretaker, was a genuine, kind soul and Maura was very helpful with transport and more during our time there. We can't wait to come back.

Casa tortuga is just perfect. With three master bedrooms and the “salita ” that can be turned into the forth it is excellent for families. My children and I had a wonderful time. The open kitchen, dining table and living room make it easy to relax while watching the sea. The house is impecable, in every way, design, location, cleanliness.

Richele is an excellent host, her place has details that make your stay special, already at the entrance the place is amazing the photos do not do justice. I highlight the staff who accompany you Fredi and Maura is very committed to the service, keep the house in excellent condition.

We spent a truly lovely Christmas at Casa Tortuga. The house is even better than how it looks in the photos, and worked perfectly for the three generations of our family reuniting for the holidays. amazing stay at an amazing place. The house was spacious and immaculate for us with the help of the caretakers and cleaning staff each morning. The pool always crystal clear. The kitchen is very cool as it is seperate from the main house and right on the pool deck along with the large daybed and dining table overlooking the ocean. be sure to load up on everything you need before getting here. And be prepared for possible power outages, a large storm knocked out power for 24 hours. about a 5-10 minute walk to surf board rentals and restaurants. You can leave the board at the board rental place and come back again when ready. highly recommended Casa Tortuga and Saladita in general. beautiful waves 🤙

Upscale and classy oceanfront villa in sleepy surf town. Loved walking to great surf breaks. Beautiful pool deck and lounging area was our favorite part of the home but the bedrooms and bathrooms were so very nice too. We will be back. Top notch.

Beautiful, classy, very clean home. The amazing dining table is so large and comfortable for family dining. The couch lounge area is really comfortable and fits a big family nicely as well. The best internet service is here!! Every room has its own connection! The bedrooms are separate and private. Prompt communication with the house manager regarding everything. Gorgeous home, would love to stay again.

The house is perfect, it is much nicer in person, we stayed one more day than we thought about why we loved it! Without a doubt, when thinking about returning to Ixtapa, it would be to Casa Tortuga!!! Beautiful, clean, 10-star service! Everything was perfect, we left very happy! It's far from Ixtapa, but there are small restaurants nearby for breakfast, lunch or dinner, just a short walk along the beach!!

A beautiful house

Amazing house in La Saladita! We were 7 adults and 2 kids and everybody had an amazing time... The house is very comfortable and clean. It has quality furniture, the kitchen is full equipped and has the basics (cleaning stuff and cooking condiments), the beds are comfortable, AC is top quality, each bathroom has a soap, there is a great charcoal BBQ (although that part need a bit more lighting). But the more important part was the very well designed layout of the main house and bungalow. All rooms have great views and privacy. The living room has a private bathroom and turns into a bedroom if you need to use the sofa beds at night. And the kitchen is by the pool with a great lounge area under a big “palapa”; this is a bit apart from the house which is great if someone is sleeping in the bedrooms. The bungalow has another full kitchen if needed. The satellite internet worked really well all 5 days (several videoconferences simultaneously) except for 1 hour were it was breaking up a bit, but absolutely manageable to work on remote. I love La Saladita and been there many times, but if it’s your first time note that the beach is a bit rocky during the summer season and it will be difficult for kids to swim in the sea, but the sea is usually calm right in front of the house. The house is walking distance (5-10 mins) from the main surf rental places: Sergio’s, Chucho’s, or Lourdes. You can also ask the property manager to arrange basic groceries to be sent to the house which is very helpful. But you’ll need to stop in a big market in Ixtapa or Zihuatanejo for main grocery shopping on your way to the house. A few things to improve/consider: there are no speakers in the house, consider bringing a portable one if you like some music in the background. Also, the pool area is very slippery when you’re wet so be careful with kids. I’d love to go back!

We had a lovely family time. The house is spectacular and has an unpretentious luxe and comfort to it which makes the stay very relaxing. It is a rocky beach but access to the pristine waters just steps away is just dreamy. We’ll be back.

The best house at La Saladita without a doubt!! Casa Tortuga is perfect for a family or friends getaway, specially in the social distancing era. Richelle and Maura (housekeeper) were very responsive and thorough with all our inquiries which made the whole experience very enjoyable. We had a lot of fun in the beach and in the waves. I do recommend bringing life vests for smaller children as the waves can get big and there are some undercurrents. Also its better walking 200 meters towards La Saladita Beach to avoid the rocks and coral reef in front of the house. Casa Tortuga was always clean and in perfect condition as the staff is very well trained and conscious of COVID protocols. The kitchen appliances are good quality and complete which made it comfortable to cook all our meals without having to leave the house. Air conditioning in every room is a significant plus. Wifi works perfect if you need to do some work or zoom meetings. All in all this is a great house in a beautiful spot for those wanting a more private vacation. We will be definitely coming back soon.
