The house is a gem. It is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful houses I have been to in Cuernavaca, decorated and furnished with exceptional taste. We had a wonderful stay at the grand home! We were traveling with small kids including a baby which made some of the common spaces a bit tricky to manage. But overall an incredible home. Eugenio and Sofia were extremely kind and helpful. We would absolutely stay here again! Fun fact that we realized while staying here - the house next door belonged to Maria Felix an incredibly iconic actress. What a beautiful property!

We were 2 couples and were extremely happy with the house. Both the grounds and the house itself were much bigger that we expected. Very elegant and comfortable. Just gorgeous! Loved the pool and garden. The two staff, Eugenio and Sofia, were wonderful. They cooked and cleaned and brought us what we needed in a kind and unobtrusive way. I didn't realize that they were included and could cook all our meals for us. A happy surprise. The bedrooms could have been better for 2 couples. Bedroom 2 is large and luxurious with a queen bed. Bedroom 3 has a double bed and is very small at the top of a winding, narrow staircase and so didn't work for us. Bedroom 1 has 2 twin beds pushed together in one very nice room. And then has a double bed in the window and 2 twin beds in an alcove. It would have been better for us if there was a double or queen bed in the larger area. We were very happy there and would be glad to return. Thanks!

We had a great experience staying in Mario's house. The place is super spacious and lots of fun for the kids. Mr. Eugenio and Mrs. Sofía helped us in cleaning and preparing food, which was excellent because it allowed us to enjoy as a family! Definitely a wonderful experience

Mario’s house was Gorgeous!! A true escape from the noise and chaos of a busy city. While there was no A/C made me a bit nervous when I realized how hot Cuernavaca summers get, it was really not necessary in most areas with how open the entire house was despite the heat. The only space I would suggest an AC unit is in the red room which has low ceilings and traps in heat. Also note there are a lot of stairs which can be tough for the elderly but my kids loved getting lost in the nooks and crannies of this beautiful old hacienda. I can’t say enough about the team that manages the house while you are staying there. They were super helpful and spoiled us during our stay with delicious home cooked meals, cleaning and laundry service. I will without a doubt book this location again next time I’m in Cuernavaca!

The house is an amazing experience with gorgeous views and amenities for days. My family and I loved it and will definitely stay again. Eugenio and Lupita were so kind and helpful with daily activities. There are a few things that you should be fully aware of before booking. This is an old-school villa with a lot of open air spaces, so you need to be ok with insects. The location was built against a hill, so there are a lot of stairs. I loved hearing the river at night with the sounds of the wildlife. While the house is on a busy street, you rarely hear any cars while at the property.

The accommodation exceeds expectations, it is a very well located space, the gardening is outstanding, the pool warm and the open and ventilated spaces. Absolutely perfect and wonderful stay. I have stayed in a lot of really nice Airbnb‘s, but this was by far the best. The house feels like it was made to be a safe COVID house, as there is so much open space. All week we met with friends and family and felt very safe. It was really special to have people cook and clean for us so we could just enjoy the vacation. As others have mentioned, the food is fantastic and well worth paying a little extra for. The bed is super comfortable, and the blankets make it extremely cozy. Just a small thing, but the towels are also super soft and plush. Loved every moment!

The house is a beautiful and unique place. It's prettier than in the photos, with lots of vegetation, the jacuzzi is a super added value. We match the many reviews that say it's one of the best places they've stayed through Airbnb. The house is splendid in all its outdoor and indoor spaces, which have excellent privacy. Good taste springs from every detail, small and large. The two secondary rooms are fine, and I think what happens is that the master bedroom is so prominent that it makes the other two pale, and it is true that one of them requires climbing a spiral staircase that in our opinion was not a problem. The stairs that connect the unevenness of the property could only be a theme for people with relevant mobility issues, since even having a delicate knee, one of us, had no complaints. The pool is always at an excellent temperature and the architectural taste in its surroundings are impeccable, as it also makes it visually incorporated into the living room. Eugenio and Lupita's attention to the property is oriented to detail and discretion, so it's truly fantastic, and greatly amplifies the huge taste that is to spend a few days in this house.

Fabulous house, we stayed there most of our trip because between the scenery, architecture and amenities, there was much to enjoy, we hardly went into town. We ordered food in a lot (Rappi/Uber eats) Carlos at the gate entrance was helpful with accepting deliveries and also assisting a delivery driver over the phone with directions. The house staff was wonderful, breakfast table was set every morning before we woke up with a garrafón of hot coffee ready to go, what more could you ask for?! The breakfasts prepared for us were delicious. We would happily return on our next trip to Cuernavaca as the bar is set very high with this house, I wouldn’t risk staying anywhere else.

Spectacular and well-kept place. The spaces are huge, the kitchen is well equipped, and the pool is always warm. Eugenio is attentive in case anything is needed and is very proactive in helping.

Our stay was very comfortable. Olga and Antonio (the people who helped us with the food and cleaning of the house) were very kind and were attentive to our needs at all times. The pool's air conditioning was a plus for us, since we were able to enjoy it at all times. Definitely a place we will return to and highly recommended.

Check-in was a little difficult because the numbers are not in order, but otherwise, everything is very good! The house is impressive, spacious and beautiful. The pool is a very good size with water that's always warm, the sunrises from the master bedroom are unforgettable. The stairs can be a bit tiring for older adults.

This “Grand Home” truly is grand and lavish — an impressive retreat for my family and I. The architecture and condition of the property is above par and the treatment from the staff (Eugenio and Olga) is 100% profesional — completely earning their gratuity. The grounds are gorgeous giving the entire property a sense of privacy and spaciousness right in the heart of Cuernavaca. The pool, jacuzzi, patios, and living spaces are nicely spread-out and elegantly decorated. Mario is promptly able to respond and resolve any issues that may arise. This property did not disappoint!

Mario’s house makes for an incredibly restful retreat. The feeling of the house is not easily captured in pictures. It’s open, full of light, with great views over the gardens & a dazzling pool. Eugenio is a quiet friendly presence in the backdrop, constantly working: he takes incredible care of the house. Highly recommend outsourcing the cooking to Olga. Our family is very food-focused & we were very happy with everything. We did not eat better in the very good restaurants in town. To sum up the experience, as soon as we left, we made another reservation to return.

We loved Villa Palmira, we have used Airbnb for Cuernavaca a couple of times before and Villa Palmira is without a doubt the best place we have stayed. Olga and Eugenio are very helpful and Olga's cooking is great! The place is great for kids, the garden is a lot bigger than how it looks in the photos and the pool has a great temperature.

Amazing house!!!! Better than the pictures!!! The house is 1h30 from Polanco, very close to the highway, which makes it very easy to arrive and depart. Eugenio was attentive at all times and Olga prepared exquisite dishes for us. The house has everything, barbecue, Bose speakers, Nespresso coffee maker, baby/child bed, nothing is missing. It also has a beautiful garden. The perfect place to rest and have a great weekend.

Staying at Mario’s place was an amazing experience for my family and I. We are definitely planing on coming back. It’s in the middle of everything, you have El Centro, museums, restaurants ect. minuets away. The house was always clean thanks to Eugenio and Olga. Eugenio and Olga were extremely patient with the kids. They cooked amazing dishes for us and were always attentive. I definitely recommend staying here, you will not regret it every penny is worth it.

Excellent house

Villa Palmira is a dream place!!!! Getting there from Mexico City is extremely easy and quick. Mario sent us a video to provide us with the directions on how to arrive. The house is 5 minutes from the Cuernavaca expressway, so we only did 1 hour 15 minutes "door to door" from Mexico City. Upon arrival we received Eugenio who has cared for the house for more than 20 years and supported us so that we felt at home. The cleaning during our stay was in charge of Olga who focused on taking care that we were as comfortable as possible. Every corner of the house is a space designed to rest and enjoy. The decor makes total sense with the architectural style. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms work perfectly, everything is clean and ready to use and in addition Mario has updated the electronic devices to suit today's entertainment needs: Smart TV with own Netflix account, Nespresso with new Aeroccino, Bose portable horn, microwave and toaster oven that they had just installed and wifi that works practically throughout the house. Finally, we released a Weber portable coal grill that had arrived at the house a couple of days ago!!! We were able to use it in the pool area and Eugenio supported us to make our BBQ experience unforgettable. My family and I were fascinated by our visit and for me it was a great place to celebrate Mother's Day. Thank you Mario for making Villa Palmira available on Air BNB! We'll be back in the summer with friends!

This is the BEST airbnb I’ve stayed in by FAR. There are 2 wonderful persons who will cook your breakfast, clean every spot of the house and stay on top of any reasonable request you make. The pool’s water was already warm and the house was BEAUTIFUL and stylish. I would DEFINITELY recommend this to anyone. Im really Iooking forward to come back soon, I hope the place won’t be booked though, because it’s EXCELLENT. If you want to come to Cuernavaca with friends and/or family, look NOWHERE else. Worth every penny!!!

I highly recommend staying at Villa Palmira. We had a great Airbnb experience. Villa Palmira’s location is quite convenient arriving from Mexico City. You may take the “Paseo Express Highway”, which surrounds Cuernavaca and it helps you avoid all traffic. It took us 1.5 hours to arrive from Polanco. Overall, it is a very comfortable, quiet and private house. It is well maintained and clean. It’s also discrete from the outside considering it's a very large house. When we arrived at Villa Palmira, we were welcomed by Eugenio, who has been the housekeeper for Mario’s family for over 20 years. Eugenio helped us throughout our stay by keeping everything clean and tidy. Internet connection and the smart T.V. work perfectly fine. The living areas are very comfortable as they are spacious and connected to the pool. This invites you to be with everyone. The view from the main room upstairs and the living area is amazing. You see all types of beautiful trees and plants, and all is very well kept. Each of the rooms are separate from each other and the living area. In my case, this was helpful for each of us to have our own privacy. We had our three small kids stay in the room downstairs with our nannies. The main room is spectacular and next to it there is a family room, both with a spectacular view to the pool and garden. In general, all my family enjoyed the visit and we would like to back as soon as possible! Thank you Mario!! :)
