This place was beautiful, the pool water was perfect and when it got a little cold the jacuzzi was there. Everything was so clean and the amount of towels that were provide since we were going in the pool a lot was great! We had a great time and the views at night are gorgeous. I would definitely return

If you are renting this villa thinking you are going to be staying at a luxury place. Think again! Unfortunately, the place was very poorly maintained. Lots of things didn’t work, including lights, hot water downstairs, electrical outlets without their covers, pool lights and automatic light switches would leave you in the dark in the bathroom. Also, we were only provided with one towel for each bathroom, and when the maid came she never replenished the towels or toilet paper. We barely had enough for the five day trip. The most unfortunate thing was probably the cleanliness of the place in general. Walked in on the first day and within minutes my bare feet were instantly black. I’m not sure they’ve mopped or swept in weeks. Countertops in the kitchen were crusty, stale water stains in the bathrooms. We were here for a wedding on property and really didn’t have many other options. But if you do have a choice, be sure to stay elsewhere.

Saul is a great host. The Montecristo villas do show some aging and wear, especially compared to villas in other nearby resort communities. Doesn't seem to be a high level of investment and upkeep. The Pueblo Bonito restaurants are pretty bland as well.

★★★☆☆ This is a beautiful condo in a perfect beachfront location, which is why this review is so disappointing to write. We stayed for nearly two weeks, checking in on Monday, June 29, and checking out on Sunday, July 12. By the end of our first full day, I had already contacted the owner because the upstairs, where all of the bedrooms are located, would not cool. The following morning, I reported additional issues, including a leak from a bathroom ceiling, a non-functioning showerhead in the primary bathroom, and what appeared to be a plumbing leak around the base of the primary toilet. The biggest issue, however, remained the air conditioning. Despite repeated maintenance visits throughout our stay, the upstairs never became comfortable enough for sleeping. We spent most nights sleeping on top of the covers because it was simply too warm. A vacation without good sleep simply wasn’t much of a vacation.

Hi Brent, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're truly sorry to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations and that you were uncomfortable during your vacation. Throughout your stay, we remained in close communication with the Resort's maintenance team and requested multiple inspections of the air conditioning system. According to their findings, the system was operating within its expected parameters, and they were unable to identify a mechanical malfunction. We understand that you believe the doors and windows remained closed during your stay. However, the Resort staff also reported observing doors and/or sliding glass doors open during some of their service visits. As a general recommendation, we advise all guests to keep all doors and windows fully closed at all times while the air conditioning is operating, as this helps the system perform more efficiently and also reduces the possibility of condensation caused by warm, humid air entering the Penthouse. We certainly understand that your experience did not meet your expectations, and we regret that despite the Resort's repeated inspections and efforts, the cooling performance was not satisfactory for you. We appreciate you taking the time to share your concerns, as guest feedback is always taken seriously. We wish you all the best in your future travels. Best regards,

This villa is truly spectacular. The breathtaking views, private pool, and stunning interior make it a perfect retreat. Daily housekeeping adds a wonderful touch, providing fresh towels, trash removal, and room refreshes to keep things comfortable. Please note that the kitchen isn’t equipped with cooking seasonings, so you’ll need to bring your own. Outside catering isn’t allowed. However, security is a top priority here, which made me feel completely safe despite the limited food options nearby. If you’re seeking relaxation, lounging by the pool, enjoying beautiful scenery, sipping drinks, and feeling secure, this is the place to be. I can't wait to return soon.

The views were absolutely stunning! The house was gorgeous! I would recommend renting a golf cart because the wait times for a shuttle can be a little ridiculous (30-45 minutes at times). But other than that, hands down worth the price!

We love Montecristo Estates and this place was exactly as expected. Very clean and it was in a good location in the resort. We had no hot water the first day but it was resolved fairly quickly. the resort services are excellent and the view and pool are wonderful. Nice break for our family of 7.
