Tania’s place is absolutely amazing. From the first day we arrived we saw so many monkeys. We saw more monkeys here than La Fortuna. The grounds are filled with beautiful plants. The caretakers of the property downstairs are so kind and helpful. My kids really enjoyed the pool. I feel like it’s the perfect distance from Montezuma downtown. It’s only about a five minute drive. Out of all the places I’ve traveled in Costa Rica. Montezuma has been my favorite and I absolutely will be returning and when I do, I would love to stay here again.

Tania is an amazing host. She responds quickly and does everything she can to help. We liked the house with A/C in the bedroom. The best part was the balcony with a table, couch, hammock, and fantastic views of the trees, so you can look for animals from the balcony. It's a bit remote, so it's best to have your own car when you stay here, otherwise you'll need a taxi. However, it is right on the way to the Montezuma waterfall, so you can go there directly from the house. There is a restaurant within easy walking distance. The pool was run-down and would need renovation. It was probably clean and safe, even though it didn't look that way with all the discoloration.

Beautiful location with amazing views of the jungle and the sea. The very large gallery was extremely comfortable and is a plus for this property. It's nice to be able to enjoy the kitchen, as the sea is often rough. Tania was very helpful with various pieces of information. Andrés and Migdalhia were very friendly.

My fiance and I stayed here for a wonderful month and really loved the space! It felt really homey and also super spacious, which is so important for a longer-term stay. The wrap-around porch is incredible, with an ocean view, a hammock, and multiple places to sit and enjoy the sunrise or the passing howler monkeys, who visited often. The pool was lovely and you are only a 10-15 minute walk to the beautiful Montezuma waterfall pools. The caretakers, who live downstairs, were very kind and helpful with anything we needed, and Tania was incredibly communicative, with lots of great local recommendations!

A true haven of peace! I was lucky to stay in this wonderful accommodation with incredible views, lush garden, refreshing pool, and super comfortable interior with everything you need! Tania was super flexible with check-in and check-out times, which allowed me to make the most of my stay. Thanks for everything, I can't wait to come back!

We had a great time in Avignon. Spacious, clean and well-decorated accommodation. Numerous kitchen facilities and in good condition. Beautiful ocean view Clean and nice pool. WARNING: arrival by car a little chaotic (plan to have a good car). We recommend this Accommodation!

Great view from the second floor of this house out toward he Gulf of Nicoya and Pacific Ocean. The view was visible from the bedroom and expansive deck that wrapped around 3 sides of the house. The deck was a great place to hangout in the daytime due to the shade and gentle breeze. The AC in the bedroom provided a cooler and dryer environment for a restful nights sleep. Howler monkeys were seen and heard multiple days near the house. The pool was kept very clean despite being surrounded by lush tropical vegetation and it was nice to cool off in the water in the middle of the day.

I appreciate the feedback. And I take the cleanliness allegations seriously and wish you would have told me during the stay so it could have been cleaned again. My cleaners work hard and send me photos after the cleaning but I am sure something could have been missed and I will always send someone up to freshen it up, but I need to be told. So I am very sorry. However regarding the other comments I feel I must respond by saying my listing clearly states that it is an upstairs apartment with my caretakers below. I also don’t think it is small. About 500 square feet inside and 800 covered deck space which is very useable with tables, chairs, and a sofa. But your group was 4 people ( not a nuclear family)as well as many guests of all ages. So maybe that is why it felt small to you. As far as the value, it’s a 1 bedroom with a full size bed and a bunk bed as well as the sofa bed. You paid just under 60 a night for the week and that price included the taxes. I think it’s a very fair value as I also travel a lot I. Costa Rica and most places are at least that price. I am concerned about the smell mentioned in the bathroom. We haven’t had that problem before but with so many guests using the bathroom including toddlers it might have been a clearing issue and if you would have mentioned it, we could have investigated and also cleaned the bathroom for you or left supplies for you to clean. I am sorry this wasn’t mentioned during your stay. I sent up a plumber after you left and there doesn’t seem to be a problem with the toilet or the septic.It also surprised me that you said I didn’t communicate well. We had many many what’s app conversations and never was the cleanliness or smell mentioned during your stay, Despite my asking repeatedly if everything was ok. I love to talk to my guests and I always want to help in any way I can. That is why I am responding to your review. I am sorry you didn’t have a good visit. If you would have asked me, I could have refunded your stay the first day so you could have found a bigger, and cheaper place to accommodate you and your guests better. I am sorry that I was unable to help you during your stay. I only knew you were upset about the lack of shampoo and I offered to refund you for your shampoo purchase and you laughed at me. I also offered to get you a mattress cover for the sofa bed, and you said that the blanket provided was fine. Those were the only complaints you mentioned in the what ap conversations so I couldn’t help and it really does bother me. I don’t usually respond to reviews and I respect your experience but in this case felt I should offer my apologies and also a bit of defense.

Beautiful accommodation, the most beautiful views, we saw an incredible amount of wildlife, butterflies, birds, monkeys as soon as we arrived. The apartment is very spacious, we went with a 3-year-old and it was ideal. Thanks to Tania's recommendation, we stayed at Casa Mirador. It was very nice to be in the pool and see the Congo monkeys eating leaves and moving from tree to tree. It was like being in a private reserve. Andrés and his wife waited for us and were super friendly at all times. Thank you very much🙏! We would definitely go back and highly recommend it.
