Excellent, 4 months ago

Just-wow!

Everything's perfect. A house with beautiful architecture that offers peace and total relaxation.

We had an amazing time at Casa Ayahuelco - Ana and all the staff were supportive, flexible and super helpful as we were planning the trip with a large group of friends. The house and surrounding area is breathtaking - the home built by an architect has thoughtful details throughout and was comfortable for our larger group. Vicky, the house manager, was on top of everything, helping us with meals, planning trips to town, arranging our temazcal and everything in between. We also had amazing meals cooked by the staff. We only wish we had spent more days at the house so we could enjoy all it has to offer!

This home is so beautiful! Lots of amazing outdoor space. We had young kids and they loved getting to run around so much. The staff was so kind and wonderful. Highly recommend!

Alessandro, thank you for trusting us to organize this beautiful celebration. We were very pleased to be able to receive you and we will be very happy to have you back when you decide. Best regards.

I can't begin to say what an incredibly experience we had staying at this majestic villa nestled in the heart of the pristine nature of this remarkable and less traveled part of Mexico. From the beginning, she was incredibly worn, welcoming and helpful in every possible way, her generosity and hospitality was like nothing I have ever experienced before. I would highly recommend this rare and unique Villa for anyone and everyone who is seeking to have a remarkable experience.

Beautiful property in Tepoztlán and was thoroughly impressed. The architecture of the house is stunning, combining modern design with the natural beauty of the area. Every detail of the property is thoughtfully crafted, creating a truly elegant and comfortable space. The staff were exceptionally attentive and professional. They not only maintained the property in immaculate condition but also prepared delicious meals that added to the overall experience. They were always ready to help with anything we needed, including arranging transportation. The host was consistently responsive and accommodating, ensuring that all our questions were answered promptly and that our stay was as comfortable as possible. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing experience in Tepoztlán. It is a remarkable place that truly stands out for its design, service, and hospitality.

Ana Maria and Diego have built the most magical and beautiful home in Tepoztlan. Set in the mountains, the views are breathtaking. Every design element in the home is thoughtfully considered with intention and spirit. Ana Maria and her staff were incredibly kind and generous to our family. From helping us plan our stay, coordinating transportation and activities, we felt genuinely cared for. The delicious and nourishing meals that Vicky made for us were some of the best we had in Mexico. We are looking forward to visiting again soon!

What a privilege to stay in this home for a few days. I had the opportunity to meet Ana and Diego (her husband and the architect) at their home in San Miguel Chapultepec and we spent more than an hour talking about his work, Mexico and the Tepoztlán area. The pictures show how nice the space is but what it cannot do is highlight the architectural detail, the angles, the materials, peace within the landscape, interplay with daylight and overall excruciating detail that went into this home. This is not an airbnb but a world class architectural achievement that also acts as a boutique hotel with its full time staff that cooks, cleans and acts as a concierge to the area. This allowed us to use 100% of our time as family time, which is the whole intent of a vacation. It also allows you to integrate locally - one of the other joys of vacation to truly understand the local way of life and culture. Came close to writing a bad review to keep this our secret for the future.

If paradise exists on Earth, it surely resides in the enchanting village of Amatlán, and within it, lies the most extraordinary Airbnb experience we've ever encountered. From the moment we arrived at this heavenly abode, it felt like we had been transported to a dreamlike oasis, a place that truly deserves the title of "The Best House in the World." Upon stepping foot into this mesmerizing property, our jaws dropped in awe at the breathtaking architecture, blending seamlessly with the natural beauty of the Amatlán landscape. The house resonates with the region's rich cultural heritage. It seemed to have organically sprouted from the earth, creating an immediate sense of harmony and belonging. The interior was a masterpiece of design and comfort. Every corner of the house was thoughtfully curated, combining traditional elements with modern amenities.

Ana’s home is an architectural gem. It has a beautiful energy that immediately makes you feel grounded and relaxed. The house is surrounded by nature — it feels a bit wild and unexpected. To say the design is stunning is an understatement. There are many areas to gather but also to be apart so it’s perfect for a group. The staff is kind and hospitable yet gave us privacy. Ana kindly arranged for a chef to come to the house to cook a birthday dinner. It was a magical experience!

Ana is an impeccable host! The house is stunning - one of a kind. We will probably never stay in as nice a place as this again. The staff are excellent...we woke up to a healthy/yummy breakfast every day and were served additional meals upon request. Amatlan is a charming town and Tepoztlan is about a 20min drive away where you can check out more shops and restaurants. thanks again for a wonderful stay.

Peter and Caroline were truly impeccable from beginning to end. After a while of being closed to Airbnb reserves (to explain the two-year gap) we were very happy to receive them and make their stay a pleasant one, which was very easy and a pleasure. Our best wishes to you and your family.

Everything about this place is perfect. Not only is the property absolutely beautiful, but it is arranged in such a way that we were able to enjoy each unique space offered in Ana's home. There is more than enough around to keep children entertained both outdoors and indoors, the food is delicious, the staff is always more than willing to help out in making your stay as comfortable as possible, and the natural scenery surrounding the house is breathtaking. We booked Ana's home for a family vacation which everyone enjoyed. We will for sure be back in the near future.

The house is amazing, nestled in nature, with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated. The staff is also very cozy and efficient. The possibility of tasting tortillas prepared in the traditional oven is a real plus! We had a great stay with children from 1 to 8 years old, but you should know that the house does not have a real garden and therefore you must be attentive.

The unforgettable experience that the house gives you is inexplicable, it is a connection with nature, guided by the great architecture of the place that speaks for itself and the most important thing makes you feel the space. All this goes from the great hospitality with which Ana Maria and all the staff get you, they make the experience of being in the house completely amazing. Definitely a place to return to without thinking about it.

Almost impossible to describe everything this house makes so special and unforgettable. The house is more of an experience; each space invites you to enjoy it in a unique way, whether it is relaxing in the pool with the fireplace on, playing chess or ping pong in the stay, having breakfast watching the mountains, taking a bathtub, a wine in the viewpoint or whatever. It's easily one of the most impactful houses I've seen. Nature is perfectly incorporated with the architecture and you can spend the whole day admiring the design (exactly what I did every day) has details that I had only found in the Barragán and Scarppa architecture. Every room is unique and each special space. In short, I could talk for hours about how incredible the house itself is, but, within everything, the best thing about our experience was the treatment of Vicky, Lore, Gerardo and Jesús, the house assistants. Thanks to them we were able to really enjoy our experience at 100; every day we ate AMAZING (there is a kitchen where they prepare pizzas, quesadillas and soups by hand), they showed us places in the forest to do hikes (and lower the food so as not to roll out) and they took care of every detail so that we were comfortable and happy at all times. I can not really recommend this experience anymore. Thank you very much Ana, Diego and Teo for being the best hosts and for letting us enjoy their magnificent creation. We hope to be back very soon!

This inspiring space is one of the most beautiful homes I've ever seen. Nestled against a mountain of vertical cliffs, the property has several buildings scattered throughout an impeccably designed garden that feels like an idealistic version of nature itself. A sensitivity to material—volcanic stone from the region, clay tiles, thick wood beams, concrete, linen and handmade textiles—deepens the connection to the surrounding land and provides a classic Mexican ambiance. The property is very private and quiet, with a gorgeous pool house and outdoor fireplace, and the bedrooms' giant windows face the woods, perfect for morning meditation. The staff took great care of me, cooked local-inspired meals whenever requested and cleaned daily. Ana pointed me to an absolutely incredible quesadilla stand up the street, which serves some of my favorite street food I've ever had (an heirloom corn tortilla filled with garbanzos and seeds and drenched in a perfectly balanced mole). From the property, it's easy to hike into the nearby nature reserve. Villaseñor is one of Mexico's most prolific architects, and it's easy to see why. Amatlán is an easy 1.5 hour drive from Mexico City (I drive slow, though!), and though the last 10 minutes of road are quite bumpy, it's well worth it for the privacy provided. I fully recommend this home, and will be back as soon as I can.
