Had a great experience at Steve’s. It was beautiful and very safe.

House was beautiful. We felt very safe there. It felt like home. The pool was a positive. Had everything we needed…Sunscreen, towels, pickleball, swim toys, snorkel gear, and all the kitchen equipment needed. Steve was helpful with ideas of things to do and responsive with questions or help in the house. As everywhere in Mexico, you have ants, we didn’t have them inside, but they were out at the pool and they didn’t bug us, the first night we didn’t clean the counters and got little bugs but then we realized we have to keep food sealed or in the fridge and wipe down the counters at night and didn’t have a problem again, due to construction we had to plan our day depending on what direction we were going and what time we left and came back. We would come back to this house and rent from Steve again. For our party of 7 it was perfect!

We loved the place, a very good location and super safe, we loved the warm pool because it was a bit breezy, the rooms were very comfortable, the kitchen was super equipped and had everything we needed and the best thing was that there was plenty of space for my little dogs. We loved the house! And Steve the host, excellent communication!! Always attentive to what is needed! I hope to return next year,

Excellent host, A beautiful and very well-kept house.

Host Response

The guys left house clean and were very respectful. Would highly recommend them.

This was a wonderful property! It accommodated 9 of us easily (with a little bit of ingenuity). We really appreciated the drinking water dispenser and plentiful spare jugs of water. The gated community was excellent with highly accommodating gate staff, especially with our constant Ubers in and out. Cooking space and gear were good. Pool and accessories were excellent! One negative was the neighbor dogs' annoying barking. The other negative was the walk to the nearest beach (Playa Azul). It was only about 12 minutes, but the portion along the highway is loud and had a hint of exposure with the lame sidewalk system. But once there, the beach was really nice and seemed safe. We sunbathed and swam and fished around the area without any problems. Overall, I would highly recommend this property. It was probably the best value we had in Cabo!

beautiful home in la Jolla. ocean view, private, comfortable. great pool and outdoor living area.

This place was beyond beautiful!! Me and my family (party of 6) stayed in the home for a few days. Steve to begin was amazing at communicating and checking in. The home is in a great, quiet and gated location. It’s pretty safe and there’s always guards there at night walking around the property as added safety measures the home was extremely spacious and equipped with everything we needed for our stay. We will definitely be returning to this beautiful home,.

Great location! Very easy drive to downtown San Jose del Cabo. The house was very clean and comfortable. The second bedroom off the pool deck provides a nice escape from the rest of the home. Each bedroom is located far enough from the others to afford a good deal of privacy. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking essentials which made our stay realy easy. Checkin and check out were simple. Steve reached out periodically to make sure everything was going well and answer questions as needed. We would stay here again and recommend it as a great space for large families like ours.

Fantastic House - great location, great amenities. The house is very spacious, safe and quiet development; nice and close to the beach and a 10 minute drive to the historic centre of San Jose del Cabo. Heated pool was a big hit with the kids, and lots of space to soak up the sun if you don't want to get all sandy at the beach - overall everything very relaxing. Steve was a great host - very responsive and helpful. Definitely at the top of the list to stay when we return to Los Cabos; highly recommended.

Beautiful place, Steve is veey Kind.

We had a wonderful time staying at Casa Wendt. The location is really great, we could drive 5 minutes down the hill and be at the beach by Zippers, or get into town in just about 10 minutes. The pool and grounds are as beautiful as in the pictures, and the house is very spacious with its four bedrooms. Steve was very responsive if we had any questions, or needed any assistance. All in all, I would definitely recommend staying here, and would rent this house again the next time I am in Cabo with my family.

Casa Wendt was the perfect place for our family of 8. It will s big enough so we all had our own space. But most everyone grathered around the lovely pool anyway. The kids loved the pool. We rented two cars while there. We all felt we needed the cars to get to the beach, grocery store, etc. I especially milked the property because it was bug-free! It was clean and had everything you’d need. Steve is a great host and got back to us fast if we had a problem or concerns. Highly recommended

We had a group of 7 girls to this amazing home to enjoy the Baja weather and to relax. Steve’s place fit perfectly into our hopes for relaxation and beach time. It felt like our home away from home. We had easy beach access, a pool at the house, and plenty of space. We made family-style meals and hung out on the couches or poolside throughout our time. Steve communicates extremely well, and greeted us when we arrived and sent us off when we left. He also answered all of my questions quickly before the trip. It was extremely comforting. He’s a fantastic host, and we were so fortunate to spend our time in Cabo!

What a wonderful house and great host! Steve was super responsive and provided us with great tips for places to eat. The art walk on Thursday nights is a must see and Steve gave us a great insiders tip on where to park. The house is at the end of a cul de sac with only a few houses on it. Very private. Was super safe. Gated community. There are tennis courts in the neighborhood. Pool was very nice. Great Internet and American tv! We rented a car and there were great public beaches by Zippers and next exit down at Palmilla. Both less than a few minute drive. Very close to the grocery store (awesome fresh bread). Had a great week. Would highly recommend!

Great place for multiple families. Some beds are not plush hotel quality but still offer sleeping space. Pool is wonderful for evening swims. Beware kitchen and living space is upstairs away from pool. Host is great at communication and answered texts and calls immediately. Neighborhood is quiet and very safe with gated security and guards driving by the house every few hours. The kitchen was well stocked with lots of kitchenware and pots and pans. Even many condiments in the fridge. Drinking water was available too. The kitchen did have an ant problem which was annoying but we were told by host it happens everywhere.

I can't recommend Casa Wendt enough. The property is beautiful, spacious and clean, the wifi is fast, and the pool is amazing. We loved every day we spent there. And Steve is legit! So easy to work with and incredibly helpful. He provided us with a ton of great information for our stay there, and was always responsive when we needed to contact him (which wasn't often, the whole stay was great). There were 6 of us in total, and 2 of us were competing in the IRONMAN that weekend. This property was a great location and perfect for our stay in San Jose. A++, nothing but praises, would totally book here again.

We are two families vacationing in Cabo for the first time. The house is very spacious and lovely. The gated neighborhood is quiet and very secure with guards 7/24. There are Walmart/Costco nearby but we found the local Mega store is much better. The only thing is you need to have a car to drive to the beautiful (and swimmable) beaches. Steve, the owner, is very nice, professional and responsive. He tries to make your vacation as comfortable as he could. We would definitely stay here if visiting Cabo again.

My family and I spent 5 nights at Steve's awesome home in San Jose Del Cabo. I really don't have any complaints. Everything was absolutely fabulous. The house is very large and each bedroom is very private. One of the bedrooms is "Separate" from the rest of the home in that you need to go outside to enter the home, however, this was a big plus as my parents slept there while we "Kids" stayed up too late. We didn't use the AC as Cabo this time of year was a perfect temperature. However, a short test in our room showed it worked fine. Lots of towels and comfy beds as well as a very very nice kitchen were extra bonuses. Wifi and American TV were nice for the NFL Playoffs. The living area of the home has an incredible amount of large windows that provide multiple sea and mountain views in almost a 360 degree panorama. Each window is also screened allowing amazing cross breezes. The pool area is pretty special as well. A Grill, vegas style lounging area, and Bar with fridge rounded it out pretty nicely. Really Its a great place to stay. The neighborhood itself has some spectacular homes and very friendly people. One of the residents sons is hoping to open a catering business and we hired he and his friend to cook Dinner for us with some fresh fish we recently caught. The Chefs seemed very happy with the high end stove and multiple grills. Steve stopped by a few times to make sure everything was running fine. Steve seems like a really great guy and I know that my parents and in laws all had a very positive impression of him. Despite a very steep climb (maybe the only downside for some) the home is very walkable to a variety of spots. Sardinas (Steves rec) was only about a 10 minute walk as was Zippers and Mama Mias. A corner store and Emergency clinic border Sardinas as well. Briefly back to the hill. It is steep and if you are in poor health it may not work for you. However, my almost 70 yr old parents were "tired" from the walk but they still happily did it multiple times a day. The gatemen are a much shorter walk though and happily called us cabs when needed for the 5-10 minute journey to San Jose. Cabo was a very very nice part of Mexico and Steves area felt safe and friendly without being touristy to the tacky degree. My family really enjoyed our time at Steves and would totally consider it again if we head back to cabo. Its swanky, beautiful, and relaxing all at once.

There are a few things to consider before renting the home. No a/c downstairs 2 of the 4 bedrooms- there are large rodents and the owner lives there full time and leaves to rent it out. We stayed at another resort 2 of the 8 nights because we didn't enjoy it. When I mentioned that one of the swamp coolers was warmer and that he never mentioned the lack of a/c, the host showed up at 9:30pm drunk. The next morning he wrote something more professional via AIRBNB after I told him that he was waking the children up (in person at 9:30pm)- I chose not to respond because he made me very uncomfortable showing up late at night banging and ringing the doorbell when I mentioned the issue with the house not being as advertised. It's In a strange area of San Jose but it may be okay for college students or people who want to party. We are family travelers and would not recommend it for families.

If you plan to stay in Cabo San Jose then there is only one villa you should even think about staying in - Casa Wendt. Steve was tremendously helpful in the run up to our trip and the villa is just excellent. No hassle at any point from arranging keys, ease of location, proximity to supermarket (mega) - just a perfect place to stay. The villa is huge too as we originally planned for 3 couples but at one point had another 3 people crashing in various locations around the villa and still werent overcrowded. Wifi and cable at the villa for those lazy afternoons out of the sun. All in all we cannot recommend this villa highly enough and although Cabo is a long way for us to travel (from the UK) we would say to anyone who is thinking about a group or family stay in the area then you have stumbled across an absolute gem of a vacation rental
