Overview

Montecristo is an exclusive gated community situated on the mountainside in Los Cabos, Mexico. It offers breathtaking ocean views and overlooks the entire Quivira Los Cabos area, which features a private Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course. The community is meticulously landscaped and maintained, providing access to a beautiful clubhouse. Located at the tip of the Baja Peninsula in Cabo San Lucas, this peaceful retreat offers both privacy and enjoyment.

The Space

Montecristo Villas are designed to meet your needs, ensuring a memorable and comfortable stay in this unique and spectacular setting. Each villa serves as a home away from home, equipped with luxurious amenities such as:

• Private infinity pool
• Indoor and outdoor Jacuzzi
• Spacious terraces
• Central family room
• Reading areas
• Walk-in closets

Please note that our listings are not linked to a specific villa; however, all villas share the same amenities and layouts. Each villa includes a private pool and Jacuzzi on the terrace. Views vary between villas, and while we cannot guarantee the exact view shown in photos, it will be very similar.

We manage villas in both Phase I and Phase II of Montecristo, and location requests cannot be accommodated.

Booking and Policies

• Prices are based on the number of guests. Please book for the correct number of guests.
• If additional guests arrive beyond the booked number, the extra person fee will double if reported during or after check-in.
• You may add extra guests before arrival at the original extra guest fee by notifying us at least a few days prior.
• Housekeeping is not included but can be added for $80 USD per day.
• Please review our house rules carefully, as the Montecristo community enforces strict regulations.
• The villas do not provide salt, pepper, condiments, oils, foil, plastic wrap, coffee, sugar, or similar items.

Environmental Sanitation Tax

The Government of Los Cabos has introduced an Environmental Sanitation Tax to support community improvements. This tax applies to all reservations made from September 8, 2022, onward.

• Amount: 33.68 Mexican Pesos per room per night (approximately $1.70 USD, depending on exchange rate)
• Charged at check-out in addition to the rental fee
• Funds will be used for environmental infrastructure, sustainability initiatives, safety, and security projects

COVID-19 Safety Protocols

Quivira Vacation Rentals has implemented enhanced measures to ensure the health and safety of guests and staff, following global hotel consulting recommendations.

Cleanliness and Hygiene

• Hand sanitizing stations are placed throughout the resort, including front desks, restaurant entrances, and public areas.
• Certified sanitization products are used to clean high-touch surfaces regularly.
• A certified third party performs comprehensive sanitization before reopening and periodically thereafter.

Upon Arrival

• External luggage sanitization via steam cabin or sanitizing products.
• Guest sanitization cabins and infrared thermometers for temperature checks.
• Guests with temperatures above 38°C (100.4°F) will be evaluated by a doctor and may be denied access.
• Mobile pre-check-in is available.

Room Amenities

• Hand sanitizer and sanitizing spray provided in rooms.
• Masks and gloves available upon request.
• Paper amenities, pens, and magazines are removed but can be provided on request.

Social Distancing and Health Measures

• Elevator capacity limited to two persons unless family members.
• Public area furniture arranged to maintain at least 1.8 meters (6 feet) of distance.

Pool, Spa, and Fitness Areas

• Pool loungers arranged in groups of two or four, spaced 1.8 meters apart.
• Fitness and spa equipment sanitized after each use.
• Reduced maximum capacities for fitness centers and spas.

Food and Beverage

• Restaurant and bar furniture spaced 1.8 meters apart with maximum capacity limits.
• Social distancing reminders displayed on tables.
• Food and beverage staff wear masks.
• Contactless room service available.
• Menus accessible via mobile devices; physical menus removed.

Quivira Golf Club

• Golf carts and balls sanitized before and after use.
• Capacity limits for reception and practice areas.
• Tee times spaced 15 minutes apart.
• One golf cart per player unless requested for family members.
• New rules to minimize touchpoints, such as leaving flagsticks in holes and removing bunker rakes.

COVID-19 Case Management

• An on-site detection team includes a physician, general manager, operations manager, and head of security, working with health authorities.
• Established protocols for managing potential COVID-19 cases.
• 24/7 medical services available.

Destination Protocols

• Enhanced procedures at SJD International Airport, including thermal cameras and travel background checks.
• Certification program overseen by the Ministry of Health ensures new standards for restaurants, hotels, water sports, and tourist activities.
• Property management will continue to monitor and update procedures as needed.
