Home in Isla Mujeres

We had an amazing stay at Casa Javi. Our host was very responsive and booked our golf carts which made the stay and return easy. Casa Javi has amazing ocean front views and jaw dropping sunsets from the rooftop. Very close to grocery store and walkable to Isla Brewing Company. The location is perfect. We will definitely be back!

Our family had a wonderful stay at the house. Great location for accessing everything on the island, the pool was perfect and interactions with host were seamless. Many thanks for having us. Only issues were the lack of the advertised grill and no broom for tidying up.

Casa Javi exceeded our expectations! We were greeted by the host and got a walk thru of house so we knew how to use all the features, very nice touch! Beautiful home (pictures don’t do it justice) excellent central location between the ferry and the center of the island. You can be anywhere in 10 minutes! While we did rent a golf cart, the host connected us with a taxi company that we could reach via a message app , which we used to get to and from a wedding. Well appointed kitchen, we cooked breakfast everyday. There’s a large grocery store a few minutes away if you plan to cook at the house. We loved the sunny downstairs pool in the mornings, and the rooftop pool was amazing for evening cocktails. There is a really nice Alexa speaker in the main room as well. I couldn’t figure out how to lock one of the back doors, so We messaged the host and it was fixed for us within minutes. We can’t say enough nice things! We will definitely be back!

The House and scenery was gorgeous. The ocean is right in front of you and is so serene and beautiful. Host was so helpful and lovely and arranged so much for us. We had an amazing time here. * There were a couple repair issues in need of attention however that I wanted to address… * One of the back exterior sliders does not lock, meaning anyone could climb up from the beach and walk right in. There’s very little crime on the island so we didn’t feel unsafe, just a bit unsecured. * The master shower has one temperature setting: very hot. Adjusting the handle/valve wouldn’t change the temp to anything cooler. *The safe in the master is very small (which is fine) and not attached/secured to anything. It weighs maybe ten pounds so anyone could simply pick it up and walk right out with it. This forced us to hide it inside the home as best we could to protect our passports/cash. *The street side double gate to the home doesn’t latch properly and couldn’t be locked either.

Casa Javi was incredible and really made our trip to Isla Mujeres extra special. The views from the house were amazing and we loved spending our mornings and evenings next to the pool. The house location made it easy to get to either side of the island but was far enough away from the busy areas to feel more quiet/secluded. We rented a golf cart for the first couple of days and would highly recommend it so you can explore the island. Taxis were easy to flag from the front gate as well and cost around $5-$10 (or 100 pesos) depending on where you’re going. There are several restaurants within walking distance as well including a brewery with great food. The house was well-stocked and the a/c felt great to come home to after a long day exploring. The hosts helped us rent a cart and arrange airport transfers which was super helpful! We will definitely be back!

Casa Javi was an amazing stay! We were greeted by our host upon arrival who explained all amenities and gave a description of the house and procedures. Communication was excellent from start to finish. We even connected with a concierge service to stock the fridge and prepare welcome drinks and bites. It was phenomenal. Casa Javi is an absolutely beautiful home in a superb location on Isla Mujeres. We were a family of 4, with 2 children aged 12 and 10. We wanted to stay in a central location so we could explore the island. The home is located on the east coast, and is a short drive to both the popular and lively Playa Norte, as well as the lovely south west coast beach bars and parks such as Punta Sur and Garrafon. Although the beach is a little rocky, we found it perfectly wonderful once we'd purchased some aqua shoes from the supermarket, as we often had it exclusively to ourselves. If rocky beaches aren't your thing though, there are plenty of other choices of sandy beaches a stone's throw away. The house itself is quite magnificent. The rooms are large, plenty of storage, the air conditioning was sheer heaven and the infinity pool overlooking the beach was perfect for what we needed.
