The Space

This tropical house is uniquely designed to blend with the surrounding environment and suit the tropical climate. Situated atop a hill, it offers breathtaking ocean and jungle views from every room. The property is quiet and surrounded by the vibrant Costa Rican rainforest, yet only five minutes from the center of Santa Teresa.

The house features more than ten large sliding glass doors and windows, allowing natural light and stunning views throughout. It is decorated with Balinese and wooden furniture, including locally handcrafted pieces created by the owners.

The property includes:

• Fiber optic internet with speeds from 300 Mbps up to 1 Gbps on demand
• Cable TV with football, soccer, and golf channels
• A sunbathing swimming pool deck furnished with wooden loungers
• A private yoga deck with a queen-size outdoor daybed
• Zen gardens and daybeds
• Ceiling fans and air conditioning in every room

Please note that access to the house requires a 4x4 vehicle or ATV due to the steep, dirt mountain road leading to the property.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms

The house has three bedrooms, each with a king-size bed equipped with new orthopedic mattresses and 4 to 6 pillows. All bedding includes hygienic, waterproof, and anti-allergic covers.

• The master bedroom is located on the ground floor and features an ensuite bathroom with a shower.
• The two upstairs bedrooms share a bathroom.
• The living room contains two Balinese daybeds.
• The outdoor yoga deck includes a queen-size daybed.

All bedrooms offer ocean and jungle views, with direct access to the expansive decking.

Air Conditioning and Views

Each bedroom, along with the living room and kitchen, has its own air conditioning system and ceiling fans. For those who prefer natural ventilation, the ocean breeze flows freely through the house, aided by screened doors and windows to keep insects out.

Decks and Outdoor Areas

• Upstairs includes two bedrooms, one bathroom, terraces, and a large covered open-air yoga deck overlooking the jungle and ocean.
• The swimming pool sunbathing deck is furnished with teak chairs and loungers.
• The outdoor dining area features a wooden table seating eight.
• Additional outdoor spaces include sunbathing decks, gardens, and relaxation areas.
• Private parking is available on the property.

Living Room

Located on the ground floor, the living room is furnished with two Balinese sofa beds, a coffee table, and a 50-inch cable TV. It offers ocean and jungle views and opens directly into the kitchen.

Kitchen

The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and includes:

• A brand-new six-burner stove
• Pots, pans, and kitchen tools
• Extra virgin olive oil, salt, pepper, and spices
• Dishes, cups, and wine glasses
• Coffee grinder, French press, American coffee machine, and espresso machine
• Fresh Costa Rican coffee, tea, sugar, and honey

If additional items are needed, guests are encouraged to ask.

Location and Access

Cloudbreak House is located on Santa Teresa’s central hills, approximately 0.5 km from the main road. The access road is steep and suitable only for 4x4 vehicles or ATVs. Vehicles without four-wheel drive cannot reach the property, and walking uphill with groceries or surfboards is very challenging.

Guests are advised to arrange appropriate transportation in advance. The hosts do not accept complaints or refund requests related to transportation difficulties.

The hosts are committed to making your stay exceptional and are available to assist with:

• Fishing and snorkeling tours, including trips to Tortuga Island
• Guided ATV tours to Montezuma waterfalls and zipline

A private Costa Rican chef is available on request to prepare breakfast, lunch, or dinner using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

Massages, both relaxing and therapeutic, can be arranged on the yoga deck overlooking the ocean and jungle.

Cleaning and Laundry

Daily cleaning and laundry services are included and available Monday to Friday from 10 AM to 3 PM, and Saturdays from 8 AM to 12 PM. Staff will only enter the house upon guest request to ensure privacy. Cleanliness is inspected before every check-in, maintaining a five-star standard.

Please note that due to the rainforest environment, some insects and small animals like geckos may be present. These harmless creatures help control mosquitoes and other bugs.

Guest Access

Guests have exclusive use of all indoor and outdoor areas except the laundry room, which is off-limits due to previous damage from improper use. Laundry and cleaning services are provided as part of the stay.

Important Information About the Environment

The house is surrounded by the Costa Rican rainforest, home to diverse wildlife including monkeys, iguanas, toucans, parrots, raccoons, owls, tropical frogs, armadillos, and more. These animals are part of the natural environment and do not pose a threat.

Power outages can occur due to weather or wildlife affecting electrical lines. These outages are beyond the hosts' control and may impact internet connectivity. However, the house is equipped with a power battery backup to minimize Wi-Fi interruptions.

Management and Booking Policies

Guests are expected to respect the information provided and book with full awareness of the property's unique setting and access requirements. Complaints or refund requests related to disregarding these details will not be accepted.
