Montecristo is an exclusive gated community located in Los Cabos, Mexico. Perched dramatically on the mountainside, it offers breathtaking ocean views overlooking the entire Quivira Los Cabos area, which features a prestigious Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course. The community is meticulously landscaped and maintained, with access to a beautiful clubhouse.

Situated at the tip of the Baja Peninsula in Cabo San Lucas, this peaceful enclave provides privacy and a serene atmosphere for guests.

The Space

Montecristo Villas are designed to meet your needs, ensuring a memorable and comfortable stay in this unique and spectacular setting. Each villa serves as a home away from home and includes luxurious amenities such as:

Please note:

• Our listings are not tied to a specific villa, but all villas share the same amenities and layouts.
• Each villa has a private pool and Jacuzzi on the terrace.
• Views vary by villa; while we cannot guarantee the exact view shown in photos, it will be similar.
• Villa location requests are not accepted. Villas managed are in both Phase I and Phase II of Montecristo.

Booking and Guest Policies

• Prices are based on the number of guests. Please book for the correct number of occupants.
• If additional guests arrive beyond the booked number, the extra guest fee doubles when reported during or after check-in.
• You may add guests before arrival at the original extra guest fee by notifying us at least a few days in advance.
• Housekeeping is not included but can be added for $80 USD per day.
• Please review our house rules carefully, as the Montecristo Community enforces strict regulations.
• Basic kitchen items such as salt, pepper, condiments, oils, foil, plastic wrap, coffee, and sugar are not provided.

Environmental Sanitation Tax

The Government of Los Cabos has implemented an Environmental Sanitation Tax to support local community improvements. This tax applies to all reservations made from September 8, 2022, onward and is charged at check-out.

• Amount: 33.68 Mexican Pesos per room per night (approximately $1.70 USD, depending on exchange rate)
• Applies regardless of occupancy
• Funds support environmental infrastructure, sustainability, safety, and security projects

COVID-19 Safety Protocols

Quivira Vacation Rentals has established comprehensive measures to ensure guest and staff safety, following recommendations from global hotel consulting experts.

Cleanliness Standards

• Hand sanitizing stations are located throughout the resort, including front desks and restaurant entrances.
• Certified sanitization products are used, focusing on high-touch surfaces.
• Certified third-party general sanitization is performed before reopening and periodically thereafter.

Arrival Procedures

• External suitcase sanitization via steam cabin or sanitizing devices.
• Guest sanitization cabin and infrared temperature checks; guests with temperatures above 38°C (100.4°F) will be evaluated by a doctor and may be denied access.
• Mobile pre-check-in available.

Room Amenities

• Hand sanitizer and sanitizing spray provided in rooms.
• Masks and gloves available upon request.
• Paper amenities such as pens and magazines are removed but available on request.

Social Distancing and Health Measures

• Elevator capacity limited to two people, except family members.
• Public area furniture arranged to maintain at least 1.8 meters (6 feet) distance.

Pool, Spa, and Fitness Areas

• Pool loungers grouped in twos or fours, spaced 1.8 meters apart.
• Fitness and spa equipment sanitized after each use.
• Reduced maximum capacity in fitness centers and spas.

Food and Beverage

• Restaurant and bar furniture spaced to maintain social distancing.
• Maximum capacity limits enforced.
• Staff wear masks.
• Contactless room service available.
• Menus accessible via mobile devices; physical menus removed.

Quivira Golf Club

• Golf carts and balls sanitized before and after use.
• Capacity limits at reception and practice areas.
• Tee times spaced 15 minutes apart.
• One golf cart per person unless requested for family members.
• New rules to minimize touchpoints during play (e.g., flagsticks remain in holes, bunker rakes removed).

COVID-19 Case Management

• On-site detection team includes a physician, general manager, operations manager, and head of security, coordinating with health authorities.
• Protocols established to manage potential COVID-19 cases.
• 24/7 medical service available.

Destination Protocols

• Enhanced procedures at SJD International Airport, including thermal cameras and travel background checks.
• The destination is undergoing certification by the Ministry of Health, covering restaurants, hotels, water sports, and tourist activities.
• Property management will update procedures as needed.

Note: Discounts cannot be combined with other promotions, certificates, or coupons.

Important Notes

• Outside services such as private chefs, catering, grocery shopping, and maid services are not permitted within the Quivira Los Cabos Community. Only services provided by Pueblo Bonito Resorts are allowed.
• Any additional guests added after the original booking will incur extra fees. All guests must be registered, and fees paid accordingly.
  • Extra guest fee before arrival: $50 USD per night per person
  • Extra guest fee during or after check-in: $100 USD per night per person
• Villa assignments are confirmed only at check-in due to the multi-unit vacation rental nature and scheduling of arrivals and departures.
• Early check-in cannot be guaranteed. The standard check-in time is 4:00 p.m. Guests arriving early may use clubhouse facilities and have luggage and groceries stored until the villa is ready.

Experience

This property operates as a vacation rental, which differs from timeshare or hotel rentals booked through resorts. Some amenities included by the resorts may not be available with vacation rentals. The amenities provided align with industry standards for vacation rentals and Airbnb recommendations for essential services.
