Had to give this overall stay a 1-star because anything that was positive about our stay was washed away by a poorly handled RODENT problem. Feces everywhere. This was one of the most stressful and poorly handled Airbnb experiences I’ve ever had. A rodent was in the house for four days of our stay, and instead of taking responsibility or treating the situation seriously, the host spent their energy deflecting, blaming, and accusing us of causing it. Their communication was defensive, rude, and completely unprofessional. We were told the issue was due to “our way of living,” despite us following every recommendation and keeping the place clean. When we reasonably asked for a partial refund for the days impacted, the host refused and tried to shift fault onto us for unrelated, minor wear-and-tear items. The house itself is fine, but none of that matters when the host handles a legitimate health and safety concern with hostility instead of basic hospitality. I would not stay here.

Lovely house that’s about 10 minutes walk from the beach/ town. House was very clean and looked just as amazing as the photos. Communication was clear and quick. Would definitely recommend. Rainy season definitely get a 4x4. Roads up to house have a good amount of pot holes (but so does all of nosara). Thanks for letting us stay!

Great place and a really nice team behind the property. Everything was super easy and the location is phenomenal. Easy 10-15 walks to everything in Playa Peladas and a lovely stroll to Playa Guiones. Regarding the comments on the quality of the roads, while they are not great, they are not as bad as I was lead to believe reading the comments.

We had a lovely stay at Casa Marevas. The house was beautiful and clean. It is very easy for insects to get inside, as mentioned in other reviews (but that is to be expected in a jungle). The roads are pretty gnarly getting up the house and the surrounding area. We opted to walk everywhere for that reason. They provided a thorough list of suggestions that I referred back to every day.

This home is beautiful, clean and private. The pool is awesome. The layout with 3 different buildings creates privacy and an element of luxury. There is a lot of space to spread out. Walking to the beach (5 min), restaurants(10), and Guiones was an added benefit. The grocery store is a short 10 min drive. The host were very responsive and really anticipated what we would need on our stay. We would definitely return!

Casa Mareva felt like our home away from home. This was our second time in Nosara and it was even more of a wonderful experience because of this little jungle oasis. Truly, could not get more magical than Casa Mareva. We quickly found out just how close we were to the beach and spent every morning taking a stroll down to the water and over to La Luna (a personal fav) for a cup of coffee. The monkeys visited frequently (particularly in the morning) and we caught glimpses of ardillos and pizote's throughout the day as well. Afternoon thunderstorms were so peaceful in our little villa with the screen doors open and the pool was such a fun communal space for us all to come together and soak up the jungle. Despite the open, fresh air feel of each individual villa - bugs were mostly kept at bay. Beds were cozy, bathrooms were dreamy (particularly the primary villa's bathtub,) and the space was warm, welcoming and beautifully decorated. We had the best time and would absolutely book again.

Casa Mareva was a beautiful house to stay at and the hosts were friendly and responsive. A lot of wildlife surrounds the house and you are a just quick walk to the beach.
