Guest Access
The property includes a shared pool and a community kitchen equipped with a refrigerator, plates, bowls, cups, and utensils. Outdoor amenities feature a stove, fire pit, and BBQ grill area.
Laundry service is available for 6,000 Costa Rican colones per load, which includes washing, drying, and folding by the cleaner.

Please note that a car is necessary to reach the property. It is approximately a 7-minute drive from downtown La Fortuna.
Additional Information
- Lost keys incur a $30 replacement fee. If you lock yourself out, please contact us for assistance.
- There are friendly stray cats on the property that help with pest control. Guests are kindly asked to keep them out of the kitchen and living areas.
- For guest safety, three security cameras are installed covering the parking area, walkway, and back of the property.

We couldn't have asked for a better stay in La Fortuna. The Dragonfly Villas were absolutely perfect for our family reunion of 12. The pool and outdoor kitchen area offered great spaces for us to gather while the individual villas provided private sleeping spaces and bathrooms for each family. The villas were cozy and clean with AC units that kept us comfortable all night long. The kitchen was well-stocked, the pool was very refreshing, and the grounds themselves were absolutely gorgeous. Shelly and Luca were very responsive before and during our stay. Luca helped us arrange ATV and Ziplining tours which were both fantastic. We also enjoyed meeting Mey who helps to take care of the property. The Dragonfly is located in a very quiet and private section of La Fortuna making us feel very safe and comfortable throughout our entire visit. We absolutely loved our stay and would jump at the chance to return again someday.

I strongly advise against staying here. We booked this property for our family reunion vacation expecting a premium experience, but what we found was a major health and safety hazard. The property was completely unsanitary upon arrival. We found overflowing trash bins full of beer cans and old food boxes from previous guests, and cigarette butts left in open containers near the cooking areas. The kitchen sinks were filthy and the room was full of fruit flies and insects. The outdoor grill was rusted out and unusable. Most critically, the property is not secure from vermin. There were wild cats roaming the property carrying dead mice/rats in their mouths near our living spaces. Most likely those cats are not vaccinated. We paid over $1,000/night and the condition of the home was shocking—far below even basic hostel standards, let alone a luxury villa. We were forced to leave early because it was simply unsafe for humans to inhabit. Do not book this place.

We were two families with teenage kids and really enjoyed the sleeping arrangements and that each adult couple and sets of kids had their own bungalow. The area was peaceful and just outside of town but quick and easy drive/ride into town (no problem Ubering to town). It’s a very authentic accommodations but still had AC and full kitchen. The owner was very helpful and responsive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Our group of three families had a great stay. Everyone had their own space and the cottages were exactly as described. They were extremely helpful in helping us book tours and making restaurant reservations. They also provided us many other tips which made for an incredible first trip to Costa Rica.

The homes were exactly what we were looking for with several areas ro relax in with a big group. The area is private and close to several excursions near La Fortuna.

This was the perfect place for our three generation trip to Arenal. Everyone had enough space to rest after our adventures, and having the property to explore was a bonus for the 5 children.
