Casa Citrina is simply magical and the photos don’t do justice at all to the beauty at this property! Truly a high end luxury rental, incredibly responsive and helpful host (thank you Martin for meeting us at the bottom of the mountain so we could follow you up!), and details like welcome drinks, beach chairs, board games, and even a pack and play and car seat that made our stay with three small children incredibly comfortable. As mentioned in other reviews, a 4x4 and confident driving skills are a must to get up to the property. But the views, privacy, and beautiful wild life made the excursion more than worth it! We will miss the toucans greeting us every morning. Thank you Ronald and Martin, for an incredible stay! Pura Vida!

We loved our stay here! The place exceeded all our expectations. Some mornings we were literally in the clouds, and other times we had a magical view of the ocean and the Whale Tail beach. We were even visited by birds in the early mornings, which made the whole experience feel super special. It really felt like being right in nature while still having all the comfort we needed. The 20 minute drive up the hill was exactly as described and became part of our adventure. We never felt it was an obstacle the way some older reviews mentioned. If you plan for the time, it’s completely fine, and the views at the top make it more than worth it. The team was very responsive throughout and helped with every question and recommendation we needed. All the amenities matched the description and everything worked smoothly. We felt totally safe and loved that it’s a gated community while still giving you complete privacy surrounded by nature. We would choose this place again without hesitation!

Our family had a wonderful time — the pool was the perfect spot to watch toucans and hear howlers monkeys when we weren’t off on other local adventures that Lori recommended. Great view of Ballena Beach. We enjoyed our stay. 4x4 a must.

The home is stunning, with incredible views and beautiful design. However, a serious concern was the undisclosed exterior camera at the front of the property, aimed towards the living room, kitchen. The listing states “cameras face the garden, which is not true. We only noticed it near the end of our stay; when we told the host on checkout, they said the cameras weren’t working — Also, the detached master suite we planned to use had a strong mildew smell so we couldn’t use it. We still enjoyed the property and appreciated the extra night offered at no cost for that, but the misleading camera info had significantly impacted our experience.

Casa Citrina was incredible. The house sits perfectly between the ocean and the jungle breathtaking views in every direction. It’s open, spacious, and well-designed, with comfy beds and a warm pool our toddlers absolutely loved. We grilled almost every day and spent hours just enjoying the nature around us even the front yard was full of fun discoveries for the kids. The drive up is about 20–25 minutes on a winding mountain road. We did it on a clear day with no problems. Martin was very attentive and helpful throughout our stay, and Lori gave amazing local tips. We’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

This is a spectacular house at the top of the mountain that is worth the climb in a 4 x 4 vehicle to enjoy peace and serenity with all the amenities of a five star spot. We loved the heated pool and outdoor grill for dinners.

Our stay at Casa Citrina was magical as can be. I know it’s hard to believe, but the home looks and feels even more magical than the photos. Flooded with wild life on the ridge of a rain forest overlooking Uvita in a private and safe community, what more could one ask for. The home is an architectural masterpiece and the perfect layout for 2 people, or multiple families. We didn’t want to leave, but it won’t be long until we return. Muchisimas Gracias Lori y Martin!

Hard to put into words how incredible our honeymoon stay Osa was. The nicest place we've ever stayed / may ever stay in our life! It's so quiet and peaceful, just sitting by the pool was one of the most magical experiences we've ever had. Toucans fly right up on to the trees, like 10 feet in front of you. And you can just watch them eat! THE VIEW. IS SO INSANE. I think it's what some neighborhood of heaven looks like. Every time of day, any time of day, whether it's raining or at sunrise. Most magical experience of our lives. Lori and her cohost Martin were SO COMMUNICATIVE, helpful, and reassuring during our 4.5-hour drive from San Jose airport to the AirBNB. It was dark and pouring rain but we had constant communication with Martin which was beyond helpful and comforting! The house itself is a dream. Oh my god. PERFECT VACATION, BOOK IT BOOK IT BOOK IT!
