This home is designed for those who appreciate simplicity, timeless beauty, nature, and adventure. Since May 2023, it has been lovingly maintained by our family and, like many homes in Nicaragua, it has its unique characteristics.
Important Details to Know
- There is no television, but high-speed fiber optic internet is available for streaming on your personal devices.
- A dishwasher is not provided; however, a cleaning service is offered three times per week. This can be adjusted if you prefer more privacy.
- The home includes a washer but no dryer. Clothes are air-dried on a line. Guests can either hand wash and hang clothes themselves or request the housekeeper’s assistance.
- Part of the house is open-air, which means occasional visits from small wildlife. To avoid nighttime visits, keep all food sealed and stored in the kitchen.
Local Considerations
- Power outages may occur unpredictably. A battery backup supports most appliances, but air conditioning is not included.
- Grocery shopping might require visits to multiple stores. Please contact your host for recommendations to simplify your stay.
- The natural surroundings mean you may encounter mosquitoes, spiders, raccoons, and feral cats, which are generally harmless.
