The Space

Every room provides stunning views of the ocean and valley. The house is situated a mile from the beach and backs onto over 200 acres of hiking trails with rewarding Pacific Ocean vistas. Wildlife such as monkeys is commonly seen in the area.
Ocean breezes create a perfect atmosphere for relaxing in the hammock or lounging by the pool.
Location and Accessibility
Casa Verde offers easy access to the beach, shopping, groceries, zip line tours, and fishing—all within 20 minutes. The property is part of the private gated community Vista Lapas, just a 90-minute drive from San Jose Airport, allowing you to maximize your vacation time.
The house borders a coffee field and several fruit trees, including mango, papaya, banana, avocado, lime, orange, and grapefruit, all available to guests when in season. A full herb garden is also on site.
Upon arrival, guests are welcomed with a bowl of local fruit, fresh-cut flowers from the garden, and a sample of Costa Rican coffee. The location is safe and convenient for exploring nearby areas.
For larger groups, there is an additional one-bedroom vacation rental called La Casita, located about 300 yards from Casa Verde.

Guest Access
Guests have full access to the fruit trees and herb garden, as well as several acres of hiking trails leading to waterfalls and panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. The property is located on a bluff overlooking the shoreline and valley, about a mile from the beach and just above sea level, providing refreshing ocean breezes and spectacular vistas.

We spent 3 weeks at Kelie's Casa Verde and loved it! Each day felt like a paradise beyond our wildest expectations. The secluded and spectacular grounds, along with the fabulous vistas, will provide us with wonderful memories for a lifetime. The view is amazing, the house is great and clean, with simple amenities from cooking to heading to the beach. But Kelie’s knowledge of the area from fishing, adventure, restaurants, banking, and beyond is easily 5 stars and makes you feel as if you always have someone ready to help. We would love to return again some day!

Das Haus ist super privat gelegen mit einer traumhaften Aussicht. Die Zimmer sind sehr großzügig, super bequeme Betten, eine perfekt eingerichtete Küche mit allem was man benötigt, alles war blitzeblank und sauber. Unsere Kinder haben alles geliebt, vor allem den Pool und die Puzzles, die es vor Ort gab. :) sie waren sehr traurig, als wir abreisen mussten. Der gesamte Aufenthalt war perfekt.

My stay was absolute paradise! Location was centrally located to everything space was very comfortable, quiet and serene. And host was always very responsive and always had great recommendation. definitely a special treat with fresh eggs and local fruit was an extra bonus.

Kelie’s place was absolutely magical! Perched atop a hill, it offered breathtaking views and a symphony of nature every morning—we loved waking up to the sounds of birds and other wildlife. Seeing toucans and macaws right from the property was unforgettable! The pool was the perfect temperature and a great spot to unwind. Inside, the home was impeccably clean, and the bathrooms were incredibly spacious. The outdoor grill and sound system made our evenings extra special, creating the perfect setting to relax and soak in the beauty of Costa Rica. What truly made this stay exceptional, though, was Kelie herself. She was the most responsive and thoughtful host I’ve ever had. Her kindness and attention to detail elevated our trip—from her fantastic recommendations to the way she went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience. I've stayed at many rentals in the area and this place is superior to all others. The view is fantastic and the place feels like home. Kelie and her assistant Petra were very helpful and responsive, always checking in to make sure my stay was enjoyable. I didn't leave the place for 3 days as I just wanted to take in the view forever. I can't wait to return.

Kelie’s place was perfect for our family of three! Our 7 year old daughter loved the pool for early morning and late night swims. The view of the ocean and mountains offered beautiful sunsets. Kelie was an amazing host, who offered tons of great recommendations and helped us book tours. We loved the fresh eggs, fruit and peppers! This is a perfect place and we feel so fortunate to have had Kelie as our host. We loved having a quiet place to unwind that was still so close to many places we wanted to visit. We also loved how great we felt after relaxing in the hammock.
