Overview

Montecristo is an exclusive gated community situated on the mountainside in Los Cabos, Mexico. It offers breathtaking ocean views overlooking the entire Quivira Los Cabos area, which features a prestigious Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course. The community is meticulously landscaped and maintained, providing access to a beautiful clubhouse.

Located at the tip of the Baja Peninsula in Cabo San Lucas, this serene enclave offers privacy and a peaceful atmosphere.

The Space

Montecristo Villas are designed to meet your needs, ensuring a memorable and comfortable stay in a unique and spectacular setting. Each villa serves as a home away from home, equipped with luxurious amenities such as:

• Central family room
• Reading areas
• Walk-in closets

Please note:

• Our listings are not tied to a specific villa, but all villas share the same amenities and layouts.
• Each villa includes a private pool and Jacuzzi on the terrace.
• Views vary by villa; while we cannot guarantee the exact view shown in photos, it will be similar.
• Villa location requests are not accepted. We manage villas in both Phase I and Phase II of Montecristo.

Booking and Guest Policies

• Prices are based on the number of guests. Please book for the correct number of guests.
• If additional guests arrive beyond the booking, the extra person fee doubles when reported during or after check-in.
• You may add guests before arrival at the original extra guest fee if done at least a few days prior.
• Extra guest fee is $50 USD per night per person if added before arrival, increasing to $100 USD per night per person if added during or after check-in.
• Housekeeping is not included but can be added for $80 USD per day.
• Please review our house rules carefully, as the Montecristo Community enforces strict regulations.
• Basic kitchen items such as salt, pepper, condiments, oils, foil, plastic wrap, coffee, and sugar are not provided.

Environmental Sanitation Tax

The municipality of Los Cabos has implemented an Environmental Sanitation Tax to support local community improvements. For reservations made from September 8, 2022, onward, this tax applies as follows:

• $33.68 Mexican Pesos per room per night (approximately $1.70 USD, depending on exchange rates)
• Charged at check-out in addition to the rental fee
• Funds contribute to environmental infrastructure, sustainability, safety, and security projects

COVID-19 Safety Protocols

Quivira Vacation Rentals has established comprehensive health and safety measures to protect guests and staff, following global hotel consulting recommendations:

Cleanliness and Hygiene

• Hand sanitizing stations are placed throughout public areas including front desk and restaurant entrances.
• Certified sanitization products are used for cleaning, focusing on high-touch surfaces.
• Periodic general sanitization by certified third parties is conducted before reopening and regularly thereafter.

Arrival Procedures

• External suitcase sanitization via steam cabin or sanitizing devices.
• Guest sanitization cabin and temperature screening with infrared thermometers.
• Guests with temperatures above 38°C (100.4°F) will be evaluated by a doctor and may be denied entry.
• Mobile pre-check-in is available.

Room Amenities

• Hand sanitizer and sanitizing spray included in rooms.
• Masks and gloves available upon request.
• Paper amenities, pens, and magazines are removed but can be provided on request.

Social Distancing and Public Areas

• Elevators limited to two persons unless family members.
• Public furniture arranged to maintain at least 1.8 meters (6 feet) distance.
• Pool loungers grouped in twos or fours, spaced 1.8 meters apart.
• Fitness and spa equipment sanitized after each use; capacities limited.

Food and Beverage

• Restaurant and bar seating arranged for 1.8 meters distancing with maximum capacities.
• Staff wear masks.
• Contactless room service offered.
• Menus available digitally; physical menus removed.

Golf Club Measures

• Golf carts and balls sanitized before and after use.
• Reception and practice areas have capacity limits.
• Tee times spaced 15 minutes apart.
• One golf cart per person unless family members request otherwise.
• New rules reduce touchpoints during play (e.g., flagsticks remain in holes, bunker rakes removed).

COVID-19 Response

• On-site detection team includes a physician, general manager, operations manager, and head of security, coordinating with health authorities.
• Protocols established for handling potential COVID-19 cases.
• 24/7 medical service available.

Destination Protocols

• Enhanced procedures at SJD International Airport include thermal cameras and travel background checks.
• The destination is undergoing certification by the Ministry of Health for new standards in restaurants, hotels, water sports, and tourism activities.
• Property management will update procedures as needed.

Note: Discounts cannot be combined with other promotions, certificates, or coupons.

Important Notes

• Outside services such as private chefs, catering, grocery shopping, and maid services are not permitted within the Quivira Los Cabos Community. Only services provided by Pueblo Bonito Resorts are allowed.
• Villa assignments are confirmed only at check-in due to the multi-unit nature of the property and scheduling of arrivals and departures.
• Early check-in cannot be guaranteed and is subject to villa availability. The standard check-in time is 4:00 p.m. Guests may use clubhouse facilities while waiting, and luggage and groceries can be stored until the villa is ready.
• This rental is a vacation rental experience, distinct from timeshare or hotel bookings through the resorts. Some resort amenities may not be included; the amenities provided align with standard vacation rental offerings and Airbnb recommendations for essential amenities.
