Casa Agog贸 is a stylish vacation rental in Puerto Viejo and the only home in Costa Rica featured in National Geographic鈥檚 Traveller Collection. The property is thoughtfully decorated and includes:

The Space
Casa Agog贸 was created by two best friends who share a passion for art, interior design, architecture, and haute couture. Their work has received numerous design awards in Costa Rica and around the world.
The home reflects their deep affection for Puerto Viejo, a characterful Caribbean town known for its welcoming energy and diverse community of beach, surf, and nature lovers. The area offers beautiful white-sand beaches, turquoise waters, excellent restaurants, lively bars, and distinctive shops.
The house has been completely restored in its original Caribbean style and decorated with a cheerful, elegant combination of furniture, artwork, and antiques.
Main Floor
The ground floor includes:
- A spacious, comfortable living room
- A fully equipped kitchen with filtered water
- One bedroom with air conditioning and a fan
- One full bathroom
- French windows and doors opening onto the outdoor living areas
- A large mosaic checkerboard floor
- Antique rattan furniture
- A colonial dining table and chairs
- A turquoise coral-stone swimming pool
- A gazebo for relaxing
Upper Floor
The second level features:
- Two master bedrooms
- Air conditioning and fans in both bedrooms
- Two en-suite bathrooms
- A large, fully furnished wraparound terrace for relaxing after a busy day
The property also offers a television and fiber-optic internet.
Location and Outdoor Areas
Casa Agog贸 is located just steps from the main road and approximately 100 meters from the beach, restaurants, and supermarkets. The property is enclosed by a surrounding wall and filled with lush tropical plants, providing guests with privacy and security.
A private parking area is available, allowing guests to leave their vehicle behind and explore the area on foot.
Casa Coral Cottage
For larger groups, the property also includes Casa Coral, a separate cottage with:
- One spacious bedroom
- Two queen-size beds
- Air conditioning and a fan
- An en-suite bathroom
- A comfortable living area
- An open-plan kitchen
- A sleeper sofa for a fifth guest
- A large terrace for outdoor dining

Jerome was the very best host!!! He gave us great recommendations for food, and the best, most knowledgeable tour guide I've ever had, Shailo! Do not hesitate to book this casa, it is spectacular!! This house is very well taken care of, classy, full of amazing art, and the backyards is absolutely phenomenal. It is also very private, and the outdoor spaces are premium. Jerome made sure we had everything we needed and went above and beyond. We will definitely be back. Pura vida!!

An excellent home in an excellent location. It was wonderful to have immediate access to all that Puerto Viejo offers, including the beaches, but also to have a private retreat to spend time in. Highly recommended!

Beautiful home, awesome location, walking distance to many restaurants and cafes. Short drive to many beaches. Jerome was very attentive and even brought my friends and I croissants from a local bakery. We would book here again!

We had an amazing stay. Very flexible with our checkin and check out. And Jerome made sure we were taken care of and he is very friendly and responsive! The pool was amazing to sit in and relax. Amazing house! We had a great stay at Casa Agogo. The house is stunning, and we loved the old Havana vibe and the pool. Everything from the furniture to the artwork was beautifully curated. Swimming in the pool while watching howler monkeys was absolutely idyllic. The location is fantastic, right across the street from the ocean and natural pools that are perfect for small kids, and within walking distance of the restaurants and bars in Puerto Viejo. Jerome was a wonderful host, super responsive, knowledgeable about the area, and an all-around interesting person to chat with. Highly recommend!

A very unique and special home, the structure and the design! It suited our group of five women beautifully. It has style and character which really gives it the feel of being at home. The spaciousness of the home was great for slow mornings and evenings, time by the pool (which was very clean and always the perfect temperature), comfortable beds, equipped kitchen, and a super wonderful host! Magical and special experience for us. Only negative is traffic noise which is unavoidable when living on the Main Street in Puerto Viejo. The foliage and flora of the land and privacy of the yard make up for it.

Casa Agogo is a diamond in the jungle! The furniture and artwork is beautiful, colorful and unique. The grounds, garden, pool, gazebo, and verandas are stunning. Very private and also close to town and the many beaches to the south. Walkable and also many TukTuks. The people in Costa Rica are very friendly and there is such a peaceful energy. Jerome our host went out of his way to make sure we were having the best experience and went above and beyond. Highly recommend.
