Montecristo is a private gated community situated on the mountainside in Los Cabos, Mexico. It offers breathtaking ocean views overlooking the entire Quivira Los Cabos area, which features an exclusive Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course. The community is beautifully landscaped and meticulously maintained, with access to a stunning clubhouse. Located at the tip of the Baja Peninsula in Cabo San Lucas, this peaceful enclave provides privacy and a serene environment.

The Space

Montecristo Villas are designed to meet your needs, ensuring a memorable and enjoyable stay in this remarkable setting. Each villa serves as a comfortable home away from home, equipped with luxurious amenities such as:

Please note:

• Our listings are not linked to a specific villa, but all villas share the same amenities and layouts.
• Every villa includes a private pool and Jacuzzi on the terrace.
• Views vary between villas; while we cannot guarantee the exact view shown in photos, it will be similar.
• Villa location requests are not accepted. Villas are managed across both Phase I and Phase II of Montecristo.
• Prices depend on the number of guests. Booking for the correct number of guests is essential.
• Additional guests arriving beyond the booked number will incur an extra fee, which doubles if reported during or after check-in.
• You may add extra guests before arrival at the original fee if done at least a few days in advance.
• Housekeeping is not included but can be added for $80 USD per day.
• The Montecristo Community enforces strict house rules; please review them to avoid surprises.
• Basic kitchen staples such as salt, pepper, condiments, oils, foil, plastic wrap, coffee, and sugar are not provided.

Environmental Sanitation Tax

The municipality of Los Cabos has introduced an Environmental Sanitation Tax to support local community improvements. This tax applies to all reservations made from September 8, 2022, onward.

• Fee: 33.68 Mexican Pesos per room per night (approximately $1.70 USD, depending on exchange rates)
• Charged at check-out in addition to the rent
• Funds contribute to environmental infrastructure, sustainability, safety, and security projects

COVID-19 Safety Protocols

Quivira Vacation Rentals has implemented comprehensive measures to ensure the health and safety of guests and staff, following recommendations from global hotel consulting experts.

Cleanliness Standards

• Hand sanitizing stations throughout the resort, including front desk and restaurant entrances
• Enhanced cleaning and disinfection focusing on high-touch surfaces using certified products
• Periodic deep sanitization by certified third parties before reopening and regularly thereafter

Arrival Procedures

• External luggage sanitization via steam cabin or sanitizing devices
• Guest sanitization cabin and temperature checks with infrared thermometers
• Guests with temperatures above 38°C (100.4°F) will be evaluated by a doctor and may be denied entry
• Mobile pre-check-in available

Room Amenities

• Hand sanitizer and sanitizing spray provided in rooms
• Masks and gloves available upon request
• Paper amenities, pens, and magazines removed but available on request

Social Distancing and Hygiene

• Elevator capacity limited to two persons, except family members
• Public area furniture arranged to maintain at least 1.8 meters (6 feet) distance

Pool, Spa & Fitness

• Pool loungers grouped in twos or fours, spaced 1.8 meters apart
• Fitness and spa equipment sanitized after each use
• Reduced maximum capacity for fitness center and spa

Food and Beverage

• Restaurant and bar seating arranged to maintain social distancing with capacity limits
• Social distancing reminders on tables
• Staff required to wear masks
• Contactless room service available
• Menus accessible via mobile devices; physical menus removed

Quivira Golf Club

• Golf carts and balls sanitized before and after use
• Capacity limits at reception and practice areas
• Tee times spaced 15 minutes apart
• One golf cart per person unless requested for family members
• New rules to minimize touch points during play (e.g., flagsticks remain in holes, bunker rakes removed)

COVID-19 Response

• On-site detection team including a physician and management coordinates with health authorities
• Protocols established for handling potential COVID-19 cases
• 24/7 medical service available

Destination Protocols

• Enhanced procedures at SJD International Airport, including thermal cameras and travel background checks
• Certification program by the Ministry of Health for restaurants, hotels, water sports, and tours
• Ongoing monitoring and updates of safety procedures

Note: Discounts cannot be combined with other promotions, certificates, or coupons.

Important Notes

• Outside services such as private chefs, catering, grocery shopping, and maid services are not permitted within the Quivira Los Cabos Community. Only services provided by Pueblo Bonito Resorts are allowed.
• Any additional guests added after the initial booking will incur an extra fee:
  • $50 USD per night per person if added before arrival
  • $100 USD per night per person if added during or after check-in
• All guests must be registered, and applicable fees paid.
• Villa assignments are confirmed only at check-in due to the multi-unit nature of the property and scheduling logistics.
• Early check-in cannot be guaranteed. Villas are typically ready by 4:00 p.m., but if available earlier, guests will be notified.
• Guests may use clubhouse facilities while waiting and luggage/groceries can be stored until the villa is ready.
• This is a vacation rental experience, distinct from timeshare or hotel bookings through the resorts.
• Some amenities included by the resorts are not available with vacation rentals; the amenities provided align with industry standards and Airbnb recommendations for essential services.
