Situated in one of Tamarindo’s peaceful neighborhoods, the property features a fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove, ideal for guests who love to cook at home. The town’s markets, restaurants, and shopping areas are all conveniently nearby.

The home is decorated with surf-inspired art, literature, and photography, creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages relaxation and positive energy. Casa Viajero offers all the comforts you need to focus on catching waves and enjoying your stay.

Please note, this property does not accept children under 12 years of age. Laundry facilities are not available on-site, but laundry service can be arranged through the host, Tommy, for $10 per cycle.

• Well-maintained pool area (smaller compared to other complexes)
• Pool usage limited to 2 hours per group to ensure all guests can enjoy it
• Pool closes and quiet hours begin at 10 PM
• Outdoor shower for rinsing off after the beach
• Basket of “dirt towels” (rags) provided for cleaning or wiping off sand, located in the blue basket at the bottom of the staircase
• One large water jug provided; refills available for $15 or can be refilled at the nearby supermarket, Vindi, for about $8

Guest Access

Guests receive three keys at check-in, granting access to:

• Front gate
• Front door gate
• Front door

Additional sets of keys can be requested if needed.

Important Information

Tamarindo is a developing surf town, so occasional power and internet outages may occur. Flashlights are available in the laundry room for use during these times.

Air Conditioning Guidelines

The air conditioning units are sensitive and require careful operation to avoid damage:

• Dehumidifier Mode:

  • Can run all day but only with all windows and doors closed.
  • Intended for use during the green/rainy season (July to October).
  • Leaving windows or doors open in this mode may cause the unit to overheat and break.
  • It is recommended to keep doors and windows closed to maintain a dry indoor environment.

• Air Conditioning (Cold) Mode:

  • Units should not run continuously all day as they may freeze, stop working, or break.
  • Can operate for 8-10 hours with all windows and doors closed.
  • Running units with open windows or doors will overwork and damage them.

Guests are responsible for any damage caused by improper use of the air conditioning units. Please follow these instructions to ensure a comfortable stay.

Additional Notes

• Laundry service is available upon request for $10 per cycle; there is no self-service laundry on the property.
• If you need more “dirt towels,” contact the host for additional supplies.
• Water jug refills can be arranged through the host or done independently at the nearby supermarket.
