Situated in one of Tamarindo’s peaceful neighborhoods, the property features a fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove, ideal for guests who love to cook at home. The town’s markets, restaurants, and shopping areas are all conveniently nearby.
The home is decorated with surf-inspired art, literature, and photography, creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages relaxation and positive energy. Casa Viajero offers all the comforts you need to focus on catching waves and enjoying your stay.
Please note, this property does not accept children under 12 years of age. Laundry facilities are not available on-site, but laundry service can be arranged through the host, Tommy, for $10 per cycle.

- One large water jug provided; refills available for $15 or can be refilled at the nearby supermarket, Vindi, for about $8

Guests receive three keys at check-in, granting access to:

Additional sets of keys can be requested if needed.
Important Information
Tamarindo is a developing surf town, so occasional power and internet outages may occur. Flashlights are available in the laundry room for use during these times.
Air Conditioning Guidelines
The air conditioning units are sensitive and require careful operation to avoid damage:

Dehumidifier Mode:
- Can run all day but only with all windows and doors closed.
- Intended for use during the green/rainy season (July to October).
- Leaving windows or doors open in this mode may cause the unit to overheat and break.
- It is recommended to keep doors and windows closed to maintain a dry indoor environment.

Air Conditioning (Cold) Mode:
- Units should not run continuously all day as they may freeze, stop working, or break.
- Can operate for 8-10 hours with all windows and doors closed.
- Running units with open windows or doors will overwork and damage them.
Guests are responsible for any damage caused by improper use of the air conditioning units. Please follow these instructions to ensure a comfortable stay.
Additional Notes
- Laundry service is available upon request for $10 per cycle; there is no self-service laundry on the property.
- If you need more “dirt towels,” contact the host for additional supplies.
- Water jug refills can be arranged through the host or done independently at the nearby supermarket.

La gentille et la disponibilité de Tommy étaient remarquable. Nous avons bien apprécié l'appartements qui était bien équipé, propre et joliment décoré. La cours ainsi que la piscine est un plus.

Tommy was responsive & accommodating until I said I was upset when mouse poop was in our bedrooms. On Thursday (our first day), we saw a mouse running across the kitchen counter & over the pots & pans. There was mouse poop in the kitchen & living room. We notified him right away & we made sure we left no food or dirty dishes out. Tommy was kind & apologetic. He said his cleaner wouldn’t be in until Monday, due to the Easter weekend. He told us where he kept his cleaning supplies. My friend, Sarah, cleaned up 5-7 pieces of mouse poop each day. On Sunday the mouse poop migrated to our bedrooms. At this point, Tommy told me, “I cannot hold your hand or come running,” which I found condescending as we’ve been patient. We would’ve appreciated having mouse traps available so we could’ve take care of the problem ourselves. On Sunday, we asked Airbnb for a refund since the issue was getting worse. I want to be clear since Tommy called a guest a liar when she wrote rodents in her review.

Our stay in Tommys apartment was perfect! From the well equipped kitchen to spotlessly clean rooms - there‘s absolutely nothing to complain about. Communication was flawless and the house is very conveniently located in a calm street close to the center of Tamarindo.

We had a lovely time during our stay in Tamarindo. Tommy was very quick to respond and clearly communicated all important information. He was very accommodating. The Airbnb was true to photos and very cute!

Très bel endroit, bien situé, juste à l écart de la zone bruyante de la ville. Tout était fonctionnel dans le logement, et c est très bien décoré. Tommy est vraiment gentil et à l écoute. Je recommande vivement.

My stay with Tommy was amazing. He is a fantastic host who responded to all my inquiries immediately! His communication & overall attitude is amazing. His place was excellent, great location central to the city but quiet & away from all the city noise. Thank you Tommy for the awesome stay!

Amazing place! Walkable to downtown Tamarindo and the beaches. beautiful surroundings with lovely pool, even though we didn’t use it. If you have a migraine sensitivity to sleep accommodations, there are hard mattresses and pillows that even I had difficult sleeping comfortably with and my husband got migraines from it.
