This rental was beautiful for our family of 6, we felt like we were in paradise with the beach and amazing sunsets. The house was spacious and had everything we needed for the week, we loved sitting out on the 1st and 2nd floor patios, lounging in the pool, playing family games in the family room, and watching movies in the family room and kid area. We were there to relax and only left the property once to eat dinner at The Beach House restaurant recommended by the neighbor. The 2 house mom's were wonderful, Fabiola and Rocio - they made delicious breakfast everyday and helped keep the place clean and tidy. The hosts were very responsive with texts and the few questions we had. We highly recommend this beach house in Playa Portero. We would love to return to this paradise, thank you for sharing your home!

Our group of 8 people had an amazing stay at this beach house! The home was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. One of the highlights was the wonderful house moms, who prepared a delicious and hearty breakfast every morning and made us feel so welcome. They also kept the house impeccably clean throughout our stay, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The location was perfect for enjoying the beach every day, and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. We highly recommend this Airbnb and would definitely love to come back!

Our stay was outstanding and easily the best Airbnb experience we've had. The location was excellent—right on the beach and centrally located to Flamingo, Conchal, and other beautiful beaches. The sunsets were incredible, the cows roaming the beach were a unique touch, and the nearby beach club was a great bonus. The home was beautiful, with amazing views, a fantastic pool the kids loved, and everything we needed. What truly set this property apart was the host and management team. They were incredibly responsive—we had a minor garage door issue, and it was resolved immediately. The house moms were amazing, preparing delicious breakfasts each morning and keeping the home spotless. Their service exceeded every expectation. I wish every Airbnb was managed this way. Clean, organized, responsive, and welcoming from start to finish. A true 10/10—we'll definitely be back.

We loved our stay at Villa Ballena. As an extended family of nine, ages 11 to 70, it was hard to find a perfect location and Home set up that would fit all of our needs. This one did-- as well as being in the most beautiful location, oceanfront , overlooking beautiful Playa Flamingo Harbor and easy walks along the beach to amazing beach restaurants with live music... Our House moms did such an amazing job preparing delicious breakfasts each morning and keeping the whole home clean! Loved the small pool and hot tub .... and beautiful decor.. daily trips to nita's coffee shop and a small market within a one minute walk. Thank you, Krain !

We stayed at the villa in Potrero in May 2026 and had a wonderful experience. The home was spacious, spotless, and absolutely beautiful — perfect for our family of 7, with plenty of room to comfortably accommodate even more guests. The highlight of our stay was the daily breakfast prepared by Jesse and Rocío. Their meals were delicious and made each morning feel special. We spent our days enjoying the pool, relaxing at the beach, and walking to nearby restaurants and happy hour at Hemingway’s Beach Club. The location was excellent and made it easy to enjoy everything the area has to offer. If you’re flying into Liberia, I definitely recommend renting a car. It makes exploring nearby beaches and local restaurants much easier and adds a lot to the experience. Overall, we had an amazing stay and would highly recommend this villa to anyone visiting Potrero!

Perfect paradise right off the beach. We stayed with our parents and there was plenty of room for either solo time or spending it together. Daily breakfast was always delicious. Concierge service was much appreciated.

Villa Ballena was a fabulous house that exceeded our expectations. The friendly house moms made a delicious breakfast every day and they kept the place spotless. The sunsets were absolutely magical every night! It was a great place for our family of 7 adults and 4 children and had everything we needed. Krain Vacation Rentals were super responsive as was the concierge team at Localbird.

It was perfect and exactly as described. Great for multiple families. Neighborhood was perfect
