Black Orchid & Mistico Beach Club + Boat Shuttle

Beautiful home with great amenities! The Airbnb looks like the photos. Check-in was smooth and the host gave a thorough overview of the amenities available to us during our stay. We were walking distance from the farmhouse (tasty quick bites, coffee, and mimosas) and the pool club which was such a nice ambiance. Our stay wasn’t without a few hiccups though. Upon arrival one of the rooms had hair and very noticeable stains on the bed. When requested to change them, they came the next day to address it. Unfortunately we found they changed the top layer of the bedding, not the bedding in its entirety. When the blankets were pulled back, more stains were on the sheets (yikes). Communication during the stay was pretty timely, and after the second attempt at changing the bedding, things seemed to be corrected. Other things to note - it’s a no shoes property, so pack house shoes. A few geckos were spotted (harmless), and the mosquitos are no joke. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

The home was spacious and worked well for our family trip, but it was not without issues. The downstairs toilet did not flush properly upon check-in. Management responded quickly and sent maintenance, but the fix was only temporary and the problem returned after the next use. Rather than continue calling maintenance, I adjusted the lever manually throughout the stay. The pool was excellent and very well maintained, though there is very little privacy from neighboring units and passersby. Cleanliness could have been better as we found dirt and dust on the floors, along with hair and fake eyelashes in the bathrooms. The community felt somewhat sparse and still under development, with several nearby lots under construction. Amenities were limited to The Pool Club restaurant and a small grocery store/cafe, where service was consistently very slow. That said, we always felt very safe, and the location was convenient—close enough to downtown San Pedro while still peaceful and quiet.
