We loved our stay at Villa Hermosa! The house was even nicer and more spacious in person than the photos represent, with a good layout and plenty of room to relax. The pool was perfect and the sunsets from the house were absolutely beautiful. Michael was a fantastic host — very responsive and helpful — and his recommendation for a private chef (Fogo) was a highlight of our trip, the food was amazing every time they came to cook. We’d definitely stay here again!

This was absolutely an amazing place to stay. The pictures are exactly what we saw in real time. Michael was always available to answer any questions. We tried the restaurants, beaches, and grocery stores that Michael recommended. If you are looking for a quiet, beautiful, relaxing and peaceful place to stay, this is for you.

We loved this home and can’t wait to come back! The other reviews are accurate and the photos/descriptions are accurate. As the week went on, I noticed more great stuff - there is a box full of toys and snorkel stuff which was so useful. We actually found a boogie board in the laundry room on the day we left! There were beach chairs (4) to use as well. There is a shower by the pool to remove all the sand. There are plenty of seats and different areas to chill. The beds/pillows/linens were soooo comfy, I wish I could’ve taken more naps. The house was a good size for 8 people. Our grandma liked the side apartment (it was less stairs and better for her knees). Our old car had trouble getting up the hill on a rainy day but the guards gave us a tip so we could get up (drive on edge). The rental car didn’t have issue. My only regret was not using the balcony more - the view is gorgeous!! It is perfect for napping, reading, chatting, happy hour etc. Great house!

We had a great stay at Michael’s home in Playa Hermosa. The home is beautiful and has a great little pool and spectacular ocean/gulf views from both the 1st and 2nd levels. Plenty of cooking utensils, appliances, and pots/pans were provided to make home cooked meals. Our family of 6 had plenty of room to spread out. I will say that the community is located in a rather hilly area and may be difficult to reach without a 4x4 vehicle. We had a manual drive minivan and it was quite a challenge to make it up the hill each time- particularly when the roads were wet. The home also has quite a few stairs, so may not be as accessible for those with mobility issues. Water pressure/temp was occasionally an issue in some of the bathrooms, but that may be more of an issue with the area rather than the actual home. All in all, we had a wonderful stay and would stay again!

Had a very good time staying at this Airbnb property. Really enjoyed our time here. Was well located in Playa Hermosa with very quick (>10 mins) access to multiple lovely beaches. Neighborhood was quiet, private and gated with 24 hr security, so it felt very safe. The home was mostly well stocked with useful appliances/household essentials and even beach gear (scuba gear, cooler, beach chairs). However, a few essentials were missing like an iron and a broom. One concern was the wifi in the master bedroom was very unreliable. It seemed like there was a range/router issue as the wifi was reliable downstairs closer to the router. Had to reset the router multiple times during our stay. Also, this was only mildly inconvenient but the breaker for the water heater tripped almost daily for no obvious reason. Lastly, the back sliding door was broken and could not be locked. Host was pretty responsive via chat and did say he would send someone to look at the door but this person never came.

The home is beautiful, clean & many details provided for comfort were awesome! Very private, spacious & comfortable for our 2 families! Lots of places to spread out for privacy, remote calling, crafting etc. Only 3 things to note for us: a) stairs to get to two bedrooms (bc we're seniors); b) no direct access to beach, drive to beach, & c) steep inside property road to get to house driveway (included in listing description). Beautiful Ocean view Awesome.

We had a great stay at this house. The location is excellent - gorgeous view, serene, safe, quiet, many beautiful beaches around. The house itself is fantastic: spacious, clean, and very comfortable. We did run into a few minor issues during our stay, but the host was responsive and handled everything quickly, which we really appreciated. Overall, a lovely place to stay in Costa Rica, and I’d recommend it.

Amazing place with a great view. Perfect for travelling in a group or just as a couple. It allows for group interaction when desired, while still offering privacy. The private pool was just wonderful, beautifullly lit at night. Everything was very clean and comfortable and Michael was extremely helpful and flexible with our arrival/ departure days, since we ended up extending our booking because we loved it. Everything was positive and would 100% recommend Michael's place! We hope to come back
