The Space
Casa MAAR is a luxurious, fully serviced modern home inspired by Balinese design. Situated within the exclusive oceanfront resort community of Hacienda Pinilla in Costa Rica, this newly built residence (2021) offers a seamless blend of indoor and outdoor living spaces.
The home is ideal for entertaining families, couples, or groups of friends. Its stunning outdoor area features a beautiful palapa (gazebo) next to the pool, perfect for barbecuing or relaxing. Enjoy the outdoor TV and poolside lounge chairs while taking in the scenic views of the Guanacaste trees.
Inside, the fully equipped kitchen, laundry room, Wi-Fi, and smart TVs ensure every convenience is at your fingertips. Pre-stocking of groceries is available upon request.
The main living area is bright and open, combining living and dining spaces that comfortably seat up to 13 guests. Additionally, there is a breakfast bar with seating for 4.

Casa MAAR is located in Las Brisas, a gated area within Hacienda Pinilla, an exclusive resort known for its rich biodiversity.

Guests at Casa MAAR have access to the JW Marriott Hotel’s multiple restaurants. Day passes are available for purchase, granting entry to the hotel’s grounds and amenities.
Nearby beaches Mansita and Bonita, adjacent to the JW Marriott, are known for excellent tide pools during low tide.
Tennis Courts
There are two hard tennis courts on-site with an instructor named Sylvain. Private, semi-private, and group lessons are offered. Regular activities include kids’ camps and pickleball events.
Mountain Bike Trails
Hacienda Pinilla features over 45 kilometers of trails winding through ranchland, forest, and coastline. These scenic routes cater to all skill levels, providing adventure and enjoyment for families, beginners, and experienced riders alike.

This villa was absolutely beautiful!!! The pool was a great amenity, and the outside Rancho was terrific! The surroundings were beautiful and peaceful! We got to see some wildlife especially the family of gray foxes were my favorite. Both Vanessa and the other host Fiore were amazing and very insightful! The only thing i would recommend is renting a vehicle you can drive from the housing complex to town. We were limited by where we could go in our golf cart and private transportation is pricey and you can not use uber there due to the private security but we still had the best time!!!!

Outstanding place to stay at Hacienda Pinilla. We’ve been in different places in Hacienda Pinilla and this house was our favorite. Vanessa and Flore were great guests.

Incredible communication from the hosts Flore and Vanessa! Beautiful house with a pool, some applications were slightly broken, but Flore was communicative and fixed the issues!

Meget fint hus der lever op til beskrivelsen🤩 Meget søde og hjælpsomme værter. Eneste minus var at der kun er 4 solstole, hvoraf den ene ikke virkede.

Vanessa’s place in Hacienda Pinilla was simply amazing! The pictures accurately described this fantastic home with amazing interior and exterior living spaces, spacious pool and wonderful privacy. The location was excellent with access to a great beach club and very close to a cool “town center” that had many restaurants and stores with a wonderful surf town feel. Also, Vanessa and Flore were very attentive in coordinating local activities as well as finding chefs for in home meals. Would highly recommend!

Pasar unos días en la casa de Vanessa en la playa fue una experiencia realmente excelente. Éramos 12 personas y la casa respondió perfecto: espacio de sobra, comodidad total y cero sensación de estar amontonados. Los espacios son amplios, bien pensados y muy bien cuidados. Las áreas comunes invitan a compartir sin estorbarse, y las habitaciones son cómodas, frescas y silenciosas, ideales para descansar de verdad. La casa está muy cerca de la playa, lo cual es un gran plus. Tiene un equilibrio muy bien logrado: se siente acogedora, pero al mismo tiempo es una casa grande, sólida y bien hecha. Todo funciona, nada estorba, nada improvisado. Y Vanessa como anfitriona, impecable: clara, atenta y siempre disponible, lo que da muchísima tranquilidad cuando se viaja en grupo grande.

Just a perfect five days. If anything, the home is better than pictured. Hacienda Pinilla Beach Club is great, and there are loads of restaurants within a fifteen minute drive or walk from the beach club. Flore and Vanessa were amazing hosts. Proactive, friendly, incredibly helpful. Our family hopes to be back in the future.
