This is the 2nd year in a row that we stayed in this penthouse. 1st for 10 days then for 7. The location is absolutely perfect! Right next to the Mercadito and a 2 minute walk to the beach. Each en suite bathroom has an ocean view and the outdoor patio has a stunning view as well. All of the beds are extremely comfortable, and the house is spacious and beautiful. The only issue we’ve encountered is the AC unit in the master bedroom not working properly. This was an issue last year as well. Unfortunately, when we messaged management about it, they told us that a gecko had gotten into the wiring that morning, yet it was never mentioned upon our check-in. They offered to move us to a different home, which we didn’t want, so instead we asked them to bring us fans or a portable AC unit. They brought us fans. I messaged them, saying I hope the AC could be fixed and we could have a cool room for the last few days of our stay, but never heard back. Another + is the maid who came twice.

Constant repairs describe our 3-week stay. The first morning our guests told us the A/C did not work in their rooms. Thermostat showed "Change Filter." That made no difference and it took several days to get the A/C fixed. Workers worked on the roof during our entire stay from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Meals were tricky because we had dishes and silverware for only 8 people. Not even an extra fork or spoon. The dishwasher not only leaked, but the bottom arm got stuck each time on the bottom basket. Also, the pipes under the sink leaked whenever you used water to wash or rinse food or dishes. For two weeks the cooling fan for the router assemble in the laundry room made mechanical whooshing sounds which disturbed the folks sleeping in the closest 2 bedrooms. Several repairmen were sent, but it took almost 2 weeks to get fixed. The washing machine made so much noise on the spin cycle that all conversation had to stop. Code to the condo changes every 15 days. Host didn't know this.

Great location and unit for a large group. We had 2 families an it was a good amount of space. The dishwasher was broken and not repaired during our stay so lots of time spend handwashing.

Spacious, well furnished and decorated with lovely views. Steps to beach, dining and shops. Good AC and WiFi. 4 large bedrooms with views and full baths (jetted tub in master.) Beds fairly comfortable, linens basic (no mattress covers!) Toilets tended to clog (host should explain TP rules better). Housekeeping good (schedule sporadic.) Bring earplugs - building fairly quiet and private, but area is LOUD and window seals are poor - delivery & garbage trucks at all hours of the night, loud music, animals and people, esp on weekends. Underground parking a plus, but didn't need a car. Kitchen was decently equipped. Cooktop needs replacing or repair (knobs and indicators missing so cooking is guesswork!) For this $$$ host should MAINTAIN better (fix window seals, tile, appliances), fix listing inaccuracies (there's no hot tub, no resort access, no shampoo/conditioner, no beach umbrella...) and #1: hire responsible local help! No reply to our texts for DAYS, meetup no-shows, no compensation.

Such a great spot! So spacious, AC works wonderfully, gorgeous balconies and views. Clean and centrally located to everything! Literally a 3 minute walk to the beach, multiple supermarkets within a 5-10 minute walk, plenty of restaurants and shops just steps away. Very walkable. The kitchen was stocked with the basics and very clean, making it fun and enjoyable to cook at home during our stay. The pool was very refreshing on a hot day, and the host was very responsive with any issues we had and even gave us some great local recommendations too. The one and only complaint I had was that we couldn't get the showers to get hot water, which is really not a huge deal because everything else was so perfect, I would absolutely stay there again even wihtout hot water in the shower. You will not regret booking this place. Thank you so much for having us! I would LOVE to stay here again one day.

This place was the perfect location. it was close to shops, restaurants, and the beach! The space was great for hosting 4 couples. Our concierge was very responsive. We loved sitting on the balcony. There is only one parking spot for the space. However, we parked the other car on the street and it was no problem. The security guard helped us as well to get parking. The one down fall is that the dryer never worked and we packed clothes based on having a working washer and dryer. They tried to fix it one day but it still didn't work. We would stay here again otherwise!

This place was exactly like the pics — maybe even better. The views were unreal and the place was beyond nice. Location was perfect, right in the middle of Tamarindo and walking distance to everything. The host was great, super responsive and easy to deal with. Would definitely recommend this spot if you want something that feels like home but still luxe. Would definitely stay here again!

The place is very nice and in a great location. Needs maintenance, but all and all we were comfortable and it was a great trip. Would advise future guests to read most up to date reviews to ensure that it is not further declined. Location is center tamarindo - anything you need is walkable. That creates some noise, but not bad at all. The windows do well to insulate. The space is huge and very comfortable for a large group. The host is responsive, and the entrance is locked and most of the time has a security guard. The location is very private as it is the entire 7th floor.
