Magical place in the mountains. The check in was effortless. The farm is located on a large 55 acre of land, with a ton of farm animals. The place was large enough for our group of 8 with plenty of space for everyone. The house was clean, both kitchens are well equipped. location is just a short drive to town and all attractions, like zip lines and hot springs. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it for anyone who wants to enjoy CR up close.

Parrott Hill Ranch was such a perfect place to explore Arenal Volcano and its surroundings. It was close to everything yet so secluded in nature. Really, Costa Rica at its best as far as wildlife, birds and activities. We dont have a bad word to say and Eduardo is a great host.

Our stay was exactly what we were looking for as a family hoping to get an authentic experience while not sacrificing comfort. Our boys loved visiting with the animals and exploring the vast nature immediately accessible right out the front door. The property and lodging was incredible. Eduardo was exceptionally helpful in recommending and assisting with booking of activities. This was a perfect experience and we will without question be visiting again. The property would be perfect for larger groups as well but suited our family perfectly.

All the reviews are spot on! This is our 3rd trip to Costa Rica and we were looking for something a little different than a normal stay at a resort. Eduardo & Marshal (father & son) were the most wonderful hosts and made us feel so welcome. The house is huge! We enjoyed the balcony the most because you won’t have a better view in all of Costa Rica. It’s phenomenal! Towels were provided for trips to the hot springs. We did a rafting trip with our boys in the area, recommended and booked by Eduardo, that we will always remember. If you want to see toucans flying in the wild…book this amazing place right now. It was perfect sleeping at night. The windows were open, no bugs, and it even felt a little chilly during the night. Extra blankets were provided in all the sleeping areas. Our kids enjoyed the one bedroom apartment up top. The house has 3 separate areas for sleeping and hanging out. We loved it all and wanted to take the dog home with us! We hope to stay again!

This was the perfect home for our family of 4 adults and 3 elementary aged kids. We loved the balcony, and spent most of our time at the Airbnb on the balcony, sipping coffee and chatting while we stared at the amazing view, even on cloudy days. The kitchen had everything we needed for making meals at home. The kids loved visiting the animals every morning, and the yard was great for playing ball. If you're sensitive to noise, know that you're in nature and that you'll hear the animals. We woke early but loved watching the birds from the balcony. We walked to the top of the hill each day for a gorgeous view of the surrounding area. Definitely were glad to have 4 wheel drive for the road. Perhaps the best part was how welcoming and warm Eduardo and his family were to us, helping us find directions to trailheads, suggesting the best hot springs, and arranging horseback riding. The home cooked dinner was so delicious, and Eduardo even taught us to make beans. We will be back!

This is really the best view in El Castillo. Eduardo is a really great host. We enjoyed use of the property, especially the tallest hill with a 360 degree view of the area. We brought 6 kids and they were busy the entire time (running around, seeing the animals, playing on see-saws, and playing with neighboring children). Eduardo even arranged for horseback riding. I would not stay anywhere else if going to the area. We really like the more authentic destinations. I've stayed in La Fortuna a couple times in the past. This is the opposite (no crowds, cooler weather, and more rugged). Amazing stay.

The most amazing views! Volcano and Mountain lakes, birds and rain forest - all mine at Parrott Hill. The house was so comfy for my 6 friends and I and Eduardo went his way to make sure we had everything we needed. This was my second stay and we will be returning

We felt at home and part of Eduardo’s family at Parrot Hill Ranch . Missing our own family pet was made easier with having Cookie, the dog, to love and share our time with. We saw monkeys, toucans, and frogs along with was able to watch his horses and cows while relaxing and enjoying views of the volcano and lake below. It was an amazing place to find some peace on the first leg of our vacation here in Costa Rica.

Absolutely fabulous. The views are amazing: the lake and volcano. Eduardo is such a nice guy, friendly and cool and he really goes out of his way to make the stay amazing. Dinners were simple but tasty. There’s a small private waterfall on the property that’s a fun 30 minute hike. The house is easy for large families or reunions with separate spaces and a large room to gather in. Thank you Eduardo.
