Beautiful Lakeview Cabin with Private Jacuzzi - Cabins for Rent in San Antonio Palopó, Sololá Department, Guatemala

Unfortunately, our stay was disappointing. The property is difficult to access since the roads leading to it are mostly dirt roads. When we arrived, the house was extremely hot because the sun directly hits the windows. The restrooms were not clean and had visible stains. We also found a spider in the restroom and a scorpion in the sink, which made us feel unsafe. In addition, there was active construction on the balcony area with the best view, and workers were present during the day, giving us very little privacy. Overall, the cleanliness, maintenance, and ongoing construction negatively affected our stay.

Me and my girlfriend are experienced travelers and are very grateful to be welcomed into a new place. With that being said our experience here was nothing like advertised. It was hard to enjoy the beauty. We arrived hours after check in after traveling for 24 hours. The space was not clean. Thick layers of dust all over the floor the counters the stove, the hot tub, we couldn’t even take our shoes off. We were given wet towels and couldn’t even shower. As I mentioned we arrived hours after check in so the lack of care and attention was disappointing. This was communicated & resolved the next day which we appreciated and were excited to finish out our stay until we realized the house we were staying in was having construction done with no notice. 6am-9pm there were loud workers, talking playing music it was very hard to enjoy what is marketed as a relaxing and peaceful cabin. In addition, these workers were men who were looking into our place/curtains. Deeply uncomfortable/unsafe.

We had a great stay here, the cabin is really nice and the views are absolutely insane, the pictures do not do it justice. Communication was excellent The issues we had were the place was not so clean, there was construction all around the property and overall was just not clean. The WiFi only worked part of the time, for us it was important for work. Otherwise really gorgeous and one of the best Airbnb we stayed in.

The cabin has a beautiful view, the surroundings are under construction, there are workers from 7:30 am and loud music, (since it is a glass cabin they have a view inside the property) the place complies with what you see in photos, the special experience for being my mom's birthday. As an important point for future guests, it is very important not to omit 4x4 vehicles, access is complicated and we recommend going prepared, we consider that the description of the adventurous experience should be more detailed, as tourists we did not know the inaccessibility of the road conditions. (We had an accident on the way back because the clutch cable broke due to forcing gears), Have a good week MG

La cabaña tiene una vista hermosa el entorno se encuentra en construcción se presencia obreros desde las 7:30 am y música alta,(ya que es una cabaña de cristal tienen visión hacia dentro de la propiedad) el lugar cumple con lo que se ve en fotos, la experiencia especial por ser el cumple de mi mamá. Como punto importante para futuros huéspedes es muy importante la no omisión de vehículos 4x4, el acceso es complicado y recomendamos ir preparados, consideramos que la descripción experiencia aventurera sea mas detallada, al ser turistas no sabíamos la inaccesibilidad de las condiciones de la via. (Nos quedamos accidentados de regreso por que se rompió la guaya del clutch por forzar velocidades), Féliz semana MG

The water was unable to be cold other than that is a great place

We arrived at 7:00 pm to a dirty house left by previous guests. Cleaners came at 8:00 pm, and while a partial refund was given, more problems followed. At 11:00 pm there was no hot water. I was asked to send a video, which I did, but there was no follow-up. The Wi-Fi only worked the first night after the cleaner improvised turning on a hotspot with a fork due to a missing power button. The next day, there was no Wi-Fi at all.

They are the best hosts I have ever had, the view of the place is the best, the sunset 🌅 the best 😍 we fell in love with the place and we can't wait to go again. It is better to go by van than by sedan on the road and bring your own food since there is almost nothing nearby, recommended to use the boat service they offer, we paid 700 quetzales round trip to San Juan, approximately 45 minutes by boat, we had the best views, 100% recommended.

Son los mejores anfitriones que he tenido, la vista del lugar es la mejor la puesta del sol 🌅 lo mejor 😍 quedamos enamorados del lugar y no podemos esperar en ir de nuevo. Es mejor ir en camioneta que en sedan por el camino y llevar su propia cómida ya que no hay casi nada cerca, recomendado usar el servicio de lancha que ofrecen pagamos 700 quetzales ida y vuelta hasta san Juan aproximadamente 45 minutos en lancha, tuvimos las mejores vistas, 100% recomendado.

The home was beautiful and the views, host was responsive, only hiccup was the wifi did not work and it was needed, the host was communicating with me the whole time on how to fix it but was unable to get it to work, so decided to just connect with nature while in the cabin, the cabin was a bit cold in the night so pack for that because the lake is right there. I would stay again.

Yea, it was noisy because there is construction going on next door. The jacuzzi does not warm up at all. There were no instructions on how to turn on WiFi. It was two devices that had to be plugged in that had to be set up. After trial and error my husband and I figured it out. It is Freezing at the Airbnb at night. I asked if I could get a heater dropped off or something because it was that cold and the cohost said that there was a hair dryer that I could use. The blankets that were washed were still wet. Because that is how the washer/dryer works. The blankets don’t feel good on the skin because they are too bleached and old. As well as the robes. We tried using the little fire pit thing but it wasn’t ready for use. We had to contact the host and look for the chemicals(that weren’t labeled correctly) into the vesicle. We didn’t want to cause any damage to the property so we left it like that. That thing was only for ambiance.

The cabin is really beautiful, but the road to get to it is horrible. Thank God we were in a 4x4 car because a normal car would be ruined on that disastrous road. At night it seems like we are on a horror road. They should have informed us about this and they did not. I also asked before how long it was from Panajachel and they told us that it was 25 minutes, which is a lie. It is 1 hour and 30 minutes. Details that they have to say for you to take them into account when renting

La verdad la cábaña es hermosa, pero el camino para llegar a ella es horrible, gracias a Dios íbamos en carro 4x4 porque un carro normal se arruina esa carretera tan desastrosa y de noche parece que vamos en un camino del terror cuestión que nos debieron de informar y no lo hicieron, también pregunté antes que a cuánto tiempo estaba de panajachel y nos dijeron que a 25min y es mentira está a 1hr y 30min. Detalles que tienen que decir para uno tomarlos en cuenta a la hora de rentar

The place has an excellent sunset view, but it's a bit complicated to get there since it's far from the "tourist" area. It's more for a trip to disconnect. The internet didn't work.

El lugar tiene una excelente vista al atardecer, solo que para llegar es algo complicado ya que está lejos de lo “turístico” aplica más como para un viaje de desconexión, el internet no funcionó.

This cabin is a great place to stay with your significant other for a romantic weekend. The views are spectacular.

Pana is overrated, going to the cabin and bringing some food to enjoy the peace of the place is a better plan. You'll wake up with the best view of the lake.

Pana está sobrevalorado, irse a la cabaña y llevar un poco de comida para disfrutar la paz del lugar es un mejor plan. Van a amanecer con la mejor vista del lago.

The shower never heated, so bathing was a “refreshing” (not to say uncomfortable) experience. The Jacuzzi, which was supposedly part of the attraction of the place, didn't heat up either… so it was basically a large tub of cold water. The stove worked so slowly that cooking was almost a test of Zen patience. Anyway... I was hoping to relax, but I ended up accumulating more stress.

La ducha nunca calentó, así que bañarse fue toda una experiencia “refrescante” (por no decir incómoda). El jacuzzi, que supuestamente era parte de lo atractivo del lugar, tampoco calentó… así que básicamente fue una tina grande de agua fría. La estufa funcionaba tan lento que cocinar era casi una prueba de paciencia zen. En fin… esperaba relajarme, pero terminé acumulando más estrés.

Disappointing, old towels and sheets, torn and stained kitchen towels, dust under the beds, cushions and chairs in poor condition, broken shower, poor toilet, clutter. Poor condition for a place with an incredible view

The glass cabin is a simply beautiful place with a stunning lake view. They also accepted our pets and we felt complete in this experience. Check-in can be a little complicated but it's 100% worth it. I'm sure we'll be back ❤️

La cabaña de cristal es un lugar simplemente hermoso y con una vista al lago impresionante. Además aceptaron a nuestras mascotas y nos sentimos completos en esta experiencia. El ingreso puede ser un poquito complicado pero vale 100% la pena. Seguro volveremos ❤️

Lake Atitlán was absolutely magical! 🌿✨ Surrounded by volcanoes and charming little towns, the views were unreal — from sunrise over the water to the peaceful evenings by the lake. Each village had its own unique vibe, with colorful markets, local crafts, and amazing food. I loved exploring by boat, meeting friendly locals, and just taking in the calm, refreshing atmosphere. It’s the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation — you can hike, shop, swim, or simply sit by the water and enjoy the moment. Lake Atitlán is truly one of the most beautiful and serene places I’ve ever visited, and I already can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a dreamy escape in Guatemala!

We loved the accommodation, the view, the amenities and everything was beautiful. The only thing is that we couldn't find the access to the lake from the stairs shown in the photos, it's fenced and we couldn't get to the shore. Otherwise, highly recommended, you'll love it!

Nos encantó el alojamiento, la vista, las amenidades y todo estuvo hermoso. Lo único es que no encontramos el acceso al lago desde las gradas que se muestran en las fotos, está cercado y no pudimos llegar a la orilla. Por lo demás, super recomendado, te encantará!

Place has a spectacular view. It's a house for a couple, nothing more than that, since it's not very spacious. It doesn't have many kitchen accessories. It does not have direct access to the lake

The view was awesome, the apartment was clean and the communication with Sharon was great. The driveway was very steep and bumpy. Nevertheless, our car (not a 4x4) made it. Unfortunately, the hot tub was ice cold, so we couldn't use it in the evening. The apartment was very minimalist and there was constant construction noise in the immediate vicinity. Unfortunately, it was not as romantic as hoped and the price-performance ratio was not right.

Die Aussicht war genial, die Wohnung war sauber und die Kommunikation mit Sharon war super. Die Anfahrt war sehr steil und holprig. Dennoch hat es unser Auto (kein 4x4) geschafft. Leider war der Whirlpool eis kalt, sodass wir ihn am Abend nicht benutzen konnten. Die Wohnung war sehr minimalistisch eingerichtet und in der direkten Umgebung herrschte ständig Baulärm. Leider war es nicht so romantisch wie erhofft und das Preis Leistung Verhältnis stimmte nicht.
