Really enjoyed our stay. The house is really amazing with some very beautiful art, and views over the bay. The hosts were really kind and brought us bottled wated when we arrived and even, after asking about fresh sea food had someone call round with langostine and fish! views from the house are epic from the top balcony. we had such a relaxing trip and I hope to be able to stay again and explore the area further!

The house itself was quite nice and our hosts were so kind and responsive! We initially booked for 3 days but ended leaving after 2 days due to a member of our family getting sick and very little to do in Portobelo. The house is undoubtedly the nicest house in the area, but the surrounding houses were in disrepair with lots of trash around it. The town itself has an amazing side of history to it, but it seems lost given the state of the actual town itself. We had some issues with a leaking air conditioner and it ruining some books but we should have realized not to put books under there. There are a few restaurants in town but the overall atmosphere of Portobelo was in disarray. All in all the seeing the forts in Portobelo and learning about that slice of history was amazing but I am not sure we would go back. Again the hosts were incredibly friendly and kind and have done a good job making that house comfortable and welcoming.

The place was big enough but had an extremely noisy fan and no central air in the common area. Had to ask for towels and sheets as they did not provide enough for 7 people. No blankets in any of the beds, just a top sheet. Had to use our beach towels as a blanket. Had to contact Jorge, his assistant, to know how to turn on the gas stove ( there is a main breaker to turn on). Mold in the coffee pot, not enough kitchen utensils like spatulas etc. Overall it is good for 6 people with air, more if they are good without air. The view was nice but not exceptional. As a Canadian and first time in Panama not overly impressed especially with the cost for 1 night. My standards are high, probably would not highly recommend.

We had a great stay at Casa Dinis! Rui and Emily (the property manager) were both great communicators and Emily made us feel so welcome. She gave excellent recommendations and was always quick to answer any questions we had. The house itself has so much character, with lots of artwork. We loved sitting on the upstairs terrace and having coffee while looking out at the sea. And the location was perfect, within a 5-minute walk of all the historic sights in town. Portobelo itself is a very special town with a unique culture and so much history. Highly recommend! And thanks to Emily and Rui for a great stay!

A beautiful place, I would happily stay there again! The property manager Emily was fantastic and gave us excellent recommendations for local restaurants and activities. We were just a short walk from the main historical sites of this very cool town, an old spanish fort, our kayaking tour guide, the Congo cultural art store and the Customs House museum. As if all that were not enough, we had a wonderful view of the bay from the house's top balcony. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and we had everything we needed. Emily was a wonderful host and gave us helpful advice for the drive to our next stop. We will certainly be back!

This was a fantastic home. Really comfortable; really beautifully decorated. An amazing view of the sea from the balcony in the beautiful town of Portobelo. Emily was so helpful with our check in , and really understanding when we had to leave early the next morning but couldn’t tell her because the signal was down! Highly recommend staying here
