Villa Mango

As a party of 8, we were very comfortable at Villa Mango. The property is beautiful and we enjoyed having two houses to spread out in. The teens took one house and the adults took the other! The pool was wonderful and we also enjoyed the outdoor kitchen. You will hear some road noise from the main road, but it did not bother us at all (we were also there during a very busy holiday week, so the traffic was likely heavier than usual). The property is walkable into the town of Cahuita and the national park/beach. We went to the beach several times, enjoyed the national park trail (runs along the beach) and went snorkeling. Yves is an excellent host - he was proactive with suggestions on places to visit and eat in town, checked in on us via Whats App a few times and also offered to drive us around to give us the lay of the land. Wish we could have stayed longer!

It took us less than a minute after arrival to fall in love with Villa Mango. Walking through the gardens for the first time was like a surreal, storybook experience and it was hard to process all the lush vegetation we were walking through. We feel so fortunate to have stayed here for a week. We particularly loved the outdoor cooking and dining, the excellent pool, and all the howlers, capuchins, agouti and birds that stopped by. And as spectacular as the property is, our host Yves elevated our stay to another level. He greeted us with a big smile and a gracious welcome. Made my Mom truly feel like "the Queen" from the first minute. And although he lives just behind the property he's almost invisible for the most part... but always there when you need. The nice touch of waving goodbye to us when we were (sadly) driving away locked this away as one of my favorite Costa Rican accommodation experiences in our three visits to the country. Yves hospitality won't soon be forgotten.

Yves is the most incredible host. He aims to make sure you have a nice time while there. Yves found and brought sand toys for my granddaughter the first day we arrived. The property is stunning. Yves is extremely helpful, kind and responsive. Yves hooked us up with a local fisherman/restaurant owner named Roberto. Roberto cook the fish we caught and prepared a massive fish and lobster feast at Roberto’s restaurant. Incredible! Hear the family of howler monkeys in the backyard (they are active and loud right before sunrise and again around dusk. The property is walkable to the main part of town. And about 1 mile from the supermarket. Yves answered all my questions and then some. We cannot wait to go back. Actually thinking of booking this property again in August when we go back. My words don’t do it justice. You will NOT regret choosing Yves as your Airbnb host. We got way way more than we ever bargained for and Yves helped us live our experience to the fullest. Pura Vida 💙

We had a wonderful extended family stay at Casa Mango. The house was beautiful decorated, the outdoor kitchen perfect for our group, clean comfortable rooms, and beautiful nature / garden on the property. Easily walkable to Playa Blanca and a great base for exploring the area. Very grateful to Yves for his warm, attentive hospitality. We hope to be back!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Cahuita. Le logement est idéalement situé, à proximité du centre-ville et du parc national. Yves nous a donné de très bons conseils tout au long du séjour.

Extraordinario!! Villa Mango fue el lugar perfecto para nuestro retiro de trabajo personal. Todo estaba impecable, la piscina, los jardines y la decoración preciosa. La atención de Yves inmejorable, que hombre tan agradable, nos hizo sentir en casa! Todos los animales que deseabamos ver llegaron para acompañarnos y llenarnos de asombro. Las recomendaciones de Yves sobre restaurantes fueron maravillosas! "Roberto, la casa de la langosta" y "Soda Kawe" nos atendieron durante los 8 días que estuvimos ahí y todo estuvo delicioso y de servicio puntual y perfecto. Solo podemos sentirnos agradecidos por todo lo vivido en Villa Mango durante 8 días que estuvimos ahi. Gracias Yves!

El anfritrión nos dejó entrar antes, siempre estuvo atento a las dudas, muy amable y el lugar tiene buena ubicación. Lugar muy recomendado nos encantaría volver a ir.

Yves was great host. He stayed away, but was always available for anything we needed. The home beautiful, well equipped and had interesting art. I would go back for sure.

Perfect location with two villas for our large group. We loved the pool, outdoor kitchen, and large lounging spaces. The hosts were wonderful to us and we had an amazing time in Cahuita! Hope to come back sometime!
